I have to report you about bugs in latest BIOS for MSI-6545 ver.1 (version BIOS 1.7).
After flashig BIOS I cannot change parameters "Shutdown temperatures", "Spread spectrum" and some others !!!
When I try to do it, my computer hangs.
I have CPU PIV-2.4-400-512 with memory 512MB Samsung original PC-800 ECC
(By the way,there was no problems with BIOS 1.5 and CPU Intel PIV-1.6)

I have also noticed that the bios write protect control is missing.
I don't know the reason why it's been removed but if you want to protect your bios you can set the jumper (J16) on your motherboard.
If the jumper (J16) is shorted (Little plastic thing conecting both pins together) then the bios flash is locked and can't be updated.
If the jumper (J16) is not shorted (Little plastic thing removed) then the bios flash is unlocked.
Also can anyone tell me if two gameports are listed in the Device Manager after clearing cmos using bios 1.7.
Bios 1.5 is ok apart from the fact that i can't upgrade my processor to 2.6GHz as it only supports up to 2.2GHz so if i upgrade processor i won't be able to clear cmos because of the problem with the gameports.
I have tried everything to get rid of one of the gameports but nothing seems to work apart from going back to bios 1.5 which is no good because i wan't to upgrade my processor.

I am unable to access the iTunes store for the last two months, I've tried removing the software and re-installing the latest version for Windows XP and still no access; is there a solution that would allow me to get access again?

I am using a mac... Have downloaded new version. Is all I need to do to Drag Firefox from Applications to trash to uninstall? Do I still need to also delete Program Folder? If so, where can I find it?
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

I have a P4 CPU HT in it with 2 512mb sticks of DDR2 memory (533mhz).
I am upgrading to a Core 2 Duo 6600 CPU which has a 1066mhz FSB
What memory speed should I purchase to achieve the fastest bus speed without overclocking???
I get confused as my current memory is 533 which I guess on a Pentium 4 with HT cuts the FSB speed in 1/2 to 266mhz.
Any recommendations?
Do I need to buy Dual Channel or can I just buy 2 sticks?

The case fans create the most noise. When they are all on "low" I an hardly hear them and have to shake the mouse to see if it's on, but on medium it sounds like a "standard" computer. Not terrible, but not quite. On high they are down-right loud. -
HT6030 Mail Bugs in latest update for mavericks 27/11/13
The latest mail update for mavericks seems to have a bug where you can continuously scroll down so the mail stream disappears. Usually you get the classic apple bounce but that seems to have dissappeared. Also you can't scroll within the preview of mail on the right of scree. Please fix!

I have iphone 3gs with BSNL connection. Recently a message came as update OS and it was done to OS 6 with revised maps etc. But now the map is not a correct one without proper road names and refernces. Could not get directions also. the earlier one was a clear one with enough details. What could be the problem. Can somebody help. It was working fine earlier- before OS updatement.

Interactive Reports - Question about Downloading PDF, CSV, Email, etc
I recently installed the latest version of APEX. I deployed it as an EAR on Oracle WebLogic. I then created a simple
interactive report that has the search bar above the report. The downloads (emailing, pdf, etc) do not work after I
run the report.
What setup\configuration is required to get the emailing and downloading of the other files to work?
fyi: right now I have Oracle WebLogic, Oracle 10g, and APEX running locally on a XP based laptop.

Sending a report as an email requires an SMTP server. You need to configure your instance settings to point to the SMTP server.

Crystal Reports prompt issue on export: "The report you requested requires further information"
I have searched through forums for a solution but none seem to work for me.
I have an ASP Webform/MySql application which displays Crystal Reports.
The ones which do not require a user to enter a parameter display fine and I am able to click on export on the CR toolbar and download, e.g. .pdf format.
On the report that require a user to enter a parameter, the report renders fine but when I click on the export button, i get the prompt:
"The report you requested requires further information"
asking for DB login credentials. How can I avoid this?

okay, I believe I updated my BIOS.
When I ran the disk, I selected option 1 which *I hope* was the right option. It seemed
successul. I have gone to RUN> and typed in system information and get the following:
SMBIOS Version: 2.6
is that correct? I have successfully updated my BIOS?
Also, what were the two options when running the BIOS upgrade? I wasn't clear on what all the
terminology meant nad if I was doing the correct procedure or not or do I need to do both?

LENOVO 8BET54WW (1.34), 11/2/2011 - W520 Model 427639U - Windows 7 - 6.1.7601 Service Pace 1 Build 7601 - intel core i7-2820QM CPU @ 2.3ghz, 2310 mhz 4 cores - 16gb MemoryHarrisb is correct, The latest BIOS for the W520 is version 1.40.
Here is the link to see the BIOS updates for the W520, on the bottom of the site there are instructions to determine which version you currently have. You can find all of your Drivers and Updates from the Lenovo W520 Driver Matrix.
There are two ways to update the BIOS:
1. EXE file - this is what many people do because they can do it inside Windows which is more convenient. But it can also carry a certain amount of risk. If something goes wrong, you could potentially be left with an incomplete update thus bricking the machine and requiring a motherboard replacement under warranty. I recommend doing a system backup before any BIOS update or changes.
2. .ISO file - an ISO is a CD or DVD image encapsulated on the file. You can burn the file to a CD or DVD with a tool like ImgBurn. After the CD/DVD is created, you can boot the W520 from it and follow the instructions to update the BIOS. This is more of a hassle but considered safer because there is a reduced amount of risk another program might interfere with the update process and leave it incomplete.
If all of this sounds scary, I would recommend finding an IT Professional, Partner or Service professional to do this for you. All Lenovo Products come with a 1 Year Limited Warranty, if you would like to have more in depth troubleshooting or support, do not hesitate to contact your support center. SSRS 2008 R2 is extremely slow. The query runs in less than a second in the dataset designer but if you try to view the report it takes over 10 minutes. I have read this is a bug in SSRS 2008 R2. We installed the most recent patches and

I have tested on my local environment and can‘t reproduce the issue. Obviously, it is the performance issue, rendering performance can be affected by a combination of factors that include hardware, number of concurrent users accessing reports, the amount
of data in a report, design of the report, and output format. If you have parameters in your report which contains many values in the list, the bad performance as you mentioned is an known issue on 2008 R2 and already have the hotfix:

If you don’t have, you can do some action to improve the performance when designing the report. Because how you create and update reports affects how fast the report renders.
Actually, the Report Server ExecutionLog2 view contains reports performance data. You could make use of below query to see where the report processing time is being spent:
