I have to use two different versions of Firefox for two different employers - How to install new version without losing old one?

One employer requires that I use Firefox 3. Another requires that I use the newest version. How do I install a new version Firefox to a different path without over-writing the old version?

The easiest way it to have one version be a Firefox Portable installation. The Portable installation is self-contained and won't affect your "regular" Firefox installation.

Otherwise you need to set up a Profile specifically for the 2nd version and make sure the correct Profile is launched with each version.

Overall you are probably better off replacing your current Firefox 3.6.25 version with the Portable Apps version - http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy36 - and install Firefox 9.0.1 as your "regular" installation.

Norton has had over 5 months to work in their Firefox extensions, since the API's were locked for 4.0. Ask Norton why they pull this crap every time Mozilla releases a new version of Firefox. When Firefox 3.6 was released mid-January 2010, it took Norton until almost April to come up with a working version of their Firefox extensions.

Are you connecting to a different iTunes library than you normally connect to? That will erase the songs and playlists since the iPhone can't be connected to multiple libraries even if it is in manual sync mode.
If you no longer have access to the original library that your iPhone calls 'home', then the only way to save the playlist (and the songs on your iPhone) would be to use a 3rd party application to extract your iPhone contents to this new iTunes library you're trying to connect to.

I have Norton 360 on my computer and with the older version of Firefox, Norton remembered all my passwords but this new version of Firefox doesn't. How can this be fixed or is there a way to fix this?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

We are using Oracle 9i which is internally using jvm ver 1.2.2. It has a bug 'ByteCode Verifier', so we need to replace the jvm's ver with 1.2.2_011. Can someone help me figuring out how we can uninstall the old version of jvm and install the new version as required in the database.(jvm being used for java stored procedures)

As far as I know, you cannot download Safari and reinstall it successfully. Install Safari from your software install DVD and then run software update.
I do not use Hotmail, so I have no information about that platform.

Basically my hotmail is no longer working, telling me I need to download a new version of safari so I downloaded safari 3.12 however it is still not working on hotmail. I am not sure how to apply/install the new version of safari and get rid of the old version. Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

The issue sounds like a browser problem. Do you have another browsers installed like Firefox or Chrome installed to try downloading it?

Have you moved or renamed your Aperture 3 version? If it is not installed in the "Applications" folder or not named simply "Aperture", then Software Update will not recognize it.
Put Aperture back and "Software Update" should find your version.

Not sure where you backup to.
ITunes keeps the latest backup only.
Icloud keeps the 3 last backup.
