I have to wait for an Email to upgrade to DRM Free iTunes plus?!
Im trying to upgrade, but I got a message that I have to wait until I get an email. How long does this normally take? I want to set it before I go to bed as I have about 500 songs to download. I also notice that it keeps adding a few songs every time I check to see how many songs I can upgrade

Here in germany, I have the same problem... First, iTunes said, my credit card information was wrong! But i checked it immediately and it's right... i have even bought songs an hour ago with this account... well and then another time, when I tried to upgrade to iTunes Plus, it says, that Apple will send me an email, when they're ready to upgrade... well but I am waiting now for over seven hours for this email!
I also think, that the servers are overburdened cause everybody on the world wants to upgrade their DRM-music to iTunes Plus! But I can't wait for it any longer! I want my DRM-free music

The only ways to upgrade a track from the old format of 128kbps with DRM to the "iTunes Plus" format are to either repurchase the track or to subscribe to iTunes Match. The offer to upgrade an individual track for a small fee was discontinued a number of months ago.

Mail application is still there. All of my emails and folders are gone since iCloud. How can I get them back using Snow Leopard? Or can I? Do I have to wait for Mountain Lion?
I need to check a few other things...
Click on 'Mail' in the upper left corner next to the Apple ()
Click Preferences
Click the 'Accounts' tab
Make sure your iCloud account is highlighted in the column on the left.
In the account information section what does it say next to:
Incoming Mail Server?
Outgoing Mail Server?
Also, did you use MobileMe before the iCloud? -

It is ridiculous that you do not have an email to customer service. I have been waiting for an hour to chat, but it is never available. this makes me not want to be a verizon customer.
Think about it...
The reason they won't use email is so they can "stretch the truth" and get away with it. They can tell you anything you want to hear over the phone and deny it all later. In these forums, posts can magically disappear.
With email, they are caught between a rock and a hard place, so it will never happen. Things said in email are much harder to go back on. -

If you are in South Africa then you can only use the South African store - to use the US store you will need to be in the US with a US billing address on your account.
If you are not getting the email then check your spam folder and/or request that it be resent. -

I keep getting this error message: ITunes was unable to load data class information from Synch Services. Reconnect or try again later. What does that mean? Can I fix it? or do I have to wait for the next update?

Once I upgraded to ML, I'm now finding that my Seagate Free Agent external hard drive is no longer being backed up by Time machine. Do I have to wait for Seagate to update their drivers for this hard drive?
I tried your suggestion, and it's been giving me the message "Preparing for Backup" for the past 8 hours. Does this mean TM is backing up my hard drive? I'll give it a few more hours, but if nothing else happens, I'm not sure what else to do. I'm not sure if there are any new external hard drives that are compatible with ML yet.

I currently have Snow Leopard and upgraded RAM to 4GB on an older iMac Core Duo in order to use iCloud features in Lion. Also, I'm wanting to upgrade iMovie and iPhoto, but I'm having difficulty finding a download link that will let me do it online without going through the App Store, and it says I need to be running 10.7. I feel like I'm in an "obsolete" double bind until I upgrade to Mountain Lion and it isn't possible yet. I'm wanting to use iMovie 8 or higher in order to download AVCHD video. I just bought a new camera that shoots AVCHD and I can't download any HD video, nor can I find any of my old video which used to be on iPhoto and would open w/ Quick Time. User friendly Mac is no longer so intuitive.
Yes, you can purchase Lion as well as iPhoto and iMovie from the App Store. But before you can do that you must update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 by installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 update. Then you can sign into the App Store with your Apple ID and password, locate the items you want, purchase them, and download them to your computer.
