I have tried everything and I still get the message "iTunes cannot connect to update server."

I have configured the LAN settings,
I have used the Command Prompt
I have updated iTunes to the most recent update available.
I still get the message "iTunes cannot connect to the update server."
I know it's not my internet connection..
I can't think of anything else to try.
I just want to update my iPod to ios 5 D:

My security answers are wrong (I must of misspelt an answer) the email address where the answer gets sent to is an old one which I no longer have access to. How can I get the security questions sent to my current email address?

I must have misspelt one of my security question answers. When I try to reset them, the email get sent to my old email account (school email) which I can no longer access. So I was just wondering if it is possible to delete that email addess off the system so the emails only get sent to my current email (which is also my apple ID).

That email, which belongs to my wife, has not received any info from Apple to fix the problem. What should I do to fix this annoyance?

I got an App Store card with €25 and added it to my Apple ID and it worked but as soon as I wanted to buy something, I had to answer my security questions which I didn't know the answer to so I decided to reset my security questions by sending an email to my rescue adress.
The problem is, even though it says the email is sent, I don't get the email in my inbox so I think that the email adress it's sending the mail to is not the right one. I mean after all, I can't see the adress it's being sent to as it just says s*****@yahoo.com.
So I think I am screwed here because I can't answer my security questions and I can't reset them because I can't get the email in order to reset them
Please someone help me, I don't wanna have wasted €25

Hi, We have tried "everything" to try to get instagram to load properly on our ipod touch 4. It loads, but then the icon remains gray with either a "waiting" or "installing" notification on it. We have tried, rebooting the ipod, deinstalling and reinstalling instagram from our itunes account, resetting all kinds of things. The gray icon will not delete. We cannot get it off the ipod to try to reload it. Even when we remove instagram from the itunes folder and sync it, the gray icon still will not leave the ipod. Please help! Thanks, Mary

Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information. Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection. Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect.

Thanks for replying, Jim. I wasn't planning to use it for raw images. I shoot film, black and white, and have many negatives I want to print. I am unfamiliar with the upgrades in Lightroom. I wasn't unhappy with the version I have. It was useful for my purposes.
Because it was a few years ago, I don't remember if I registered the product. I was able to login to my account. But could not find a path to communicate with Adobe. I will keep trying.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit ultimate and have the same problem. My hard drive crashed, installed a new one and then reinstalled CS5 extended. Installation went fine, but can no longer open my camera RAW files from Photoshop (camera is a Canon EOS T2i. The message also tells me I am not eligible for the update. I am... and I cannot open my files and I could before. I can find nowhere to contact Adobe to tell me how to proceed. My daughter is all a registered user of the same product and she had no problems upgrading... we purchased ours each at the same time. I do know the difference is that I had to reinstall and she did not. If that means anything.

You can do it with Leopard but it depends upon the iTunes version which you did not reveal. Also make sure you are looking in the right place for purchases.
Consider buying a backup drive so you do not need to do this again. If you are going to run old hardware and software you need to live differently because yes, at some time you will find your version of iTunes no longer works. You're lucky it still works with Leopard. As you can see, some versions still work with the iTunes Store but not for repeat downloading.
