Did you try to update iTunes through "Apple Software Update"?
    Uninstall everything {iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour , Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)}
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
then reinstall itunes. (Download it from Apple's site.)

  • When I install Flash Player version 10.2.152.32 it shows up in the control panel but only ....

When I install Flash Player version 10.2.152.32, it shows up in the control panel, under Programs and Features but the only thing that shows up is the name and version of the product.  On the right hand side, the size of the program in megabites is supposed to be displayed but it isn't for flash player.  I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and it is a 32 bit operating system and the browser I use is Windows Internet Explorer.  Does anyone know why I could be having problems downloading this?

What is the problem you are having?  Does Flash Player work?  Can you see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?
Flash Player is a browser add-on, not a standalone program, and most likely therefore does not indicate any program size in the Control Panel.

how to download flash player 11 on windows vista 64 bit ?

Just download it from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ - the installer will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit players on a 64-bit system.

  • I get a "connection error" when trying to update/install Flash Player

I have a previous version of Flash player so I was trying to update it. The installation doesn't make it past 5% before saying "connection error". I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and even tried to uninstall it. When I try to download the uninstaller, I get a page on safari that says "safari cannot connect to server" (I also tried on firefox too, same problem). I have tried to locate it in my toolbar and applications to uninstall it from there with no luck, it has completely disappeared. Not in my trash, nowhere. Not sure what else to do. I am running on Mac OS X 10.7.5. When I have Adobe check to see if it is installed on my computer, it says that a previous version is installed, 16.0.0.

  • Why do I have to keep re-installing Flash Player?

I have read the forums and tried all the suggestions and nothing works. I have Windows 7 and IE 9. It has nothing to do with IE as I have the same problem with Firefox.
    This is REALLY frustrating!

    Download the Flash Player Uninstaller.
Download the Adobe Flash Player installers by right clicking the following links and selecting the "Save as" option.
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save all files - DO NOT run anything yet.
    Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything else, go to your downloads folder and run the uninstaller.
Once you've removed the Flash Players, do a double check:
    Go to: C/Windows/System32/Macromed.
If there's still a Flash folder - DELETE IT.
    Goto: C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed.
If there's still a Flash folder - DELETE IT.
Open your Registry Editor (Start>Run or press the WIndows key+R and type "regedit" and click OK)
In the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE
If there's a Macromedia folder - DELETE IT.
    Go to HKEY_CURRENT USER/Software
If there's a Macromedia folder - DELETE IT.
NOW you're ready to install Flash Player as if it was never on your system to begin with.
Riun the installers in either order, and then check that it's enabled in IE: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448

  • Attempting to INSTALL Flash Player 17, on WIndows 7, Firefox 36.0.1-why did I never used to have a problem?

I am using Windows 7, Firefox 36.0.1, and attempting to INSTALL Flash Player 17. I never had problems until about a year ago, the way the installation & set up was so easy...now, I fight with it for days every month when a new update is ready. There used to be 2-3 easy steps to follow; now I click to download, watch the diagram until it finishes, find the icon on my desktop, and click it again (presumbly to download & install), and it disappears. I do not know where or how to see it; a few minutes later I go to my Firefox Plug in Check page...and it shows that it still is not update! So I go through the whole friggan process again...WHY????

    Hello,
    Please do the following:
Download the uninstaller, Uninstall Flash Player | Windows
Download the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page in the 'Still having problems' section
    Run the uninstaller
    Reboot your system
    Run the installer
After installation completes, go to Flash Player Help and click on the 'Check Now' button.  The results should indicate that you have the latest version, 17.0.0.134, installed.

    Hi Valerie,
Installation of Flash Player requires Administrative permissions as files are written to directories that standard users do not have access to.  You'll either need to log in with an account that has Adminstrator permissions, or provide the Administrator UserId/password to install.

HI I was wondering if I could please ask a question about Flash player.  When I download the flash player from the Adobe website it downloads ok to my Windows Vista home basic computer.  So then I went and tried to install Flash player on my computer.  After the first time I had no luck in installing Flash player on my computer so I downloaded the uninstalled program to my desktop.  I then uninstalled the old version of Flash player off my computer.  So again I downloaded Flash player the lasted version from Adobe.com again.  After I download Adobe flasher player to my desktop then I tried to install it again on my computer and then a message came up saying that only once instance of the program could run.  So then I have restarted my computer several times and I have down the following several times on my computer.  I have not been able to install Flash player on my computer as of yet.
I should mention that I am only an intermediate computer user no difficult trouble shooting please.

  • Installing Flash Player 12 on Windows Server 2008 R2 X64 with IE 8

I have an app that runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 X64 that requires Flash Player 12. When I try to install Flash Player 12 it says that Windows Server R2 X64 is not supported by way of eliminating it from the list of supported operating systems. When I do a search I can find many people who indicate they have it running or explain "hacks" to get it running. Since the app requires it there is an implimcation that it should be running on this OS. What is the offical word on this?  This is a production server and I really don't want an "unsupported hack" running in this environment. Is there a supported means of having Flash Player 12 run on Windows Server 2008 R2 X64 with IE8 even if it is within the 32 bit version of the browser?

Server 2008 (x86) is supported, and I had an x64 machine set up last month that had FP12 installed and running in IE and Firefox. 64 bit IE wouldn't run it for some reason, but the 32 bit did. It installed in C/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash and C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash, but I was unable to get the ActiveX plug-in to enable outside of 32 bit IE.
I also set up a Server 2012 machine that DID support the x64 ActiveX, but that's probably not an option for you.
Like you, I'd be leery of "hacks" to get it to run as an x64 pkug-in, as it may have unintended and undesired consequences in other areas.

  • How do I prevent Adobe Website attempt to install Flash Player which freezes Windows e-mail browser.

For past several days, my Windows e-mail browser frequently freezes and must be closed. This occurs whenever message near top of browser states that Adobe website wants to install Adobe Flashplayer. Windows explanation states that termination is a result of Data Execution Prevention (DEP). How do I stop Adobe Website attempts to install Flash Player, or if that is not possible, what is a solution? I have uninstalled Flash Player in an attempt to resolve problem without success.

You can find a link and instructions for the last version of Flash Player compatible with PowerPC in this FAQ:
What version of Flash Player should I use with my Power PC based Mac?
For what it's worth, Apple itself discontinued support for PowerPC with their operating systems back in 2009 with the release of Snow Leopard.  Regardless, I know its frustrating when your system is no longer supported.  Hopefully the instructions I posted in the FAQ allow you to get Flash content running again.

  • When I download adobe flash 10 on my windows vista computer, it doesn't work.

I've not had flash for about eight or nine months, and have had the same problem. I've tried everything. I use FF for my browser, and I've tried downloading it just for FF, and even have resorted to trying to download it for IE. Please, please, please help me get to the bottom of this!

Hi, Ok, if you just want to Install Flash Player in FF. To make sure that you have a clean Uninstall, review or print out a copy of the Uninstall instructions. Download to your Desktop the Uninstaller and SAVE it to your Desktop.
Using the Firefox browser do the following:
Download the Flash Player Installer for FF and SAVE it to your Desktop:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
Follow the instructions for the Uninstall, then close all browsers and Run it from your Desktop. When it is finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
Keeping your browsers closed, then Run the Installer from your Desktop and when it is finished, Reboot your computer.
Then open your FF browser and go to this test site:
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
This should work for you, let me know.
    Thanks,
