I have tried several time to install the iOS 5 upgrade,,,it completely and succesfully downloads but when it reaches the point of procssing the file I get this message: "The network connection timed out. There is a problem downloading the software for the iPhone, {err= -3259}.
I have even tried unistalling iTunes and reinstalling it , which installed just fine; therefore there is absolulety NOTHING wrong with my network OR internet connection. HELP!!!!!

I have also had the same problem with my Win 7 32 bit computer. I had great help from Apple techs in Montreal and Orlando for 2.5 hours. They helped me remove every trace of Apple products and clean the registry in two different ways. Each install gave the same problem! If Apple techs can't fix it (on some of our machines) then we are really in trouble. They promised to raise it with the "engineers" and get back to me with a solution. I am waiting and hoping. Otherwise maybe version 11.1.5 will have a fix ??

I need direct help from Adobe but don't know how to get to them on this website as they seem to rely on user forums to advise customers.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like the install log. If it always stops at the same spot, something specific happens like waiting for a specific user input, running out of disk space or simply triggering some external process like a virus scanner that may block the install, but never properly produces a warning dialog.

Then I found out I was supposed to deactivate prior to uninstall. I don't know how to do that. The program will not run, when I try to run the program my screen goes wonky, and the organizer will not come up/ load, nothing much happening that is good so far.

Thanks for your reply and your help did allow me to remove Premier from
the computer. The elements 12 never would get up and running ( so I
couldn't try the log out trick), every time I would try to run the
program (using the desk top icon) the screen would go black and then
come back in a very pixilated and cartoonish fashion (wonky).
The back story is that I had been running Elements 10 for quite some
time, and then I "borrowed" an Elements 12 program to " try it out",
every thing went well for about a week, and then I couldn't get the
program to run, so that's when I decided to uninstall/reinstall it the
first time. Then I thought (perhaps rightly) that Adobe had locked me
out of the Elements 12, so I bought my own new version of it, and
installed that ( with no better luck)
I am running Windows 7 with an icore5 processor, no error messages,
but in doing a trouble shooting search, the info came back that the
program was incompatible because I had Windows 6.1 and an AMD 64
processor, I don't know what that means to me at this moment. I did a
Regedit scan and found a bunch of stuff related to elements 12 ( I
haven't touched it yet) I did a system restore to a prior date (trying
to get back the the point before all of this stuff happened. I haven't
been brave enough to try installing the program again yet.

Generate the error message again. While the error message box is open, hold down the Alt key and hit the PrtSc key. Paste the screenshot into an image file (using a program like Paint), and save the file.

There is no such thing as an iPhone 's3'. There is a 3G which can only be updated to iOS 4.2.1 and a 3GS which can be updated to iOS 6.1.3.

The file is too large to download via 3G. There is a 20MB limit with 3G. The purpose of having 3G is that you have internet access everywhere and do not need to be near a WiFi hotspot or network.
Not every single thing that you do every single minute of the day on the iPad involves downloading files larger than 20MB. You can surf the internet all day long sitting out in a park somewhere with 3G - but not with a WiFi only iPad - unless you use a hotspot with it.
Try turning off your firewall and anti virus software while you try to download the iOS update.

That suggests that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

It sounds like you are tapping the Game Center app to open it, but the screen is blank. I recommend signing out of your account:
Go to Settings > Game Center, where you can:
Sign out (tap your Apple ID)
