I have tried to inport RAW files from my Pentax K110D without success

I just get a message that says unsupported file format.
It works okay with Jpeg but I want to use RAW. Do I have to do anything first like stick it through the Pentax program that came with the camera? I have only just bought the camera so I don't have a clue what to do!

I keep writing about this in this forum whenever there's a chance (such as a related subject). As far as I know there's also an email address or form somewhere on apple's website for feature requests / bug reports.
With emails sent into the void, I'm not sure about who reads 'em. However, I know that the Aperture team reads the entries in this forum because they (or rather, Joe Schorr, the project manager for this project) occasionally and usually very helpfully reply to posts here.
I'm fairly sure that Apple will start supporting the new crop of cameras fairly soon (400D, D80); I'd guess that the K100/110 will be in there, as well. Sadly, though, I guess that my trusty (and very, very good) *ist DS will never be really supported now, as it's out of production and never made it into the list... I'd guess that a new system update will be with us within 2 months.
For the moment, I'd suggest that you get hold of a large hard drive; convert your RAW's to TIFF using the Pentax PhotoLab software or some other converter (which actually does pretty good conversions, although its user interface is ugly as sin); and then import these TIFFs into Aperture. The TIFFs are huge, unfortunately, and the conversion will take time. Don't throw your original RAWs away, though, you may want to re-import them once Apple supports your camera.

Problem inporting raw files from my Nikon D3200

i have problems importing raw files from my Nikon D3200, i have tried some of the suggestions such as
removing the RawCamera.bundle and RawCameraSupport.bundle from the System Library and downloading a newer version (OS X Yosemite: Supported digital camera RAW formats - Apple Support)
The problem is -- the latest RAW Compatibility Update version for Yosemite 6.02 appears to be the one I currently am using (in my System Folder).
In that same article referenced above, my Nikon D800 is listed in an earlier version simply titled "Supported by Yosemite 10.10".
This had some success but is not working after trying it several times, i am currently on version OSX Yosemite 10.10.1 and the version of iphoto is 9.6
any help would be greatly received as i only shoot in Raw

Remove the RawCamera.bundle and RawCameraSupport.bundle again and update the system to 10.10.2 via the App Store. That contains the bundles that will support that camera: OS X Yosemite: Supported digital camera RAW formats - Apple Support. The 6.01 and 6.02 updates are not needed for that camera. Be sure to repair disk permissions after the update.
As usual be sure you have a backup of your hard drive before applying any such update.

Error trying to import raw files from NIKON to Lightroom

I am an amateur photographer. I just purchased a brand new NIKON D3300 took a few pictures, signed up for the Adobe annual Photographers Creative Cloud annual program and my first task to have Lightroom import a few test photos fails and I have no clue why my raw + jpgs can't be imported. at the outset In Lightroom I also got a "Preview unavailable for this file" message for every image file when I pointed to the memory card I had connected to my computer:

The Nikon D3300 Raw format is not yet supported in Lightroom 5 (currently 5.3).

Raw file formats are proprietary to each camera manufacturer and specific to each camera model. Adobe's Camera Raw engine (used by both Adobe Camera Raw - as a plugin to Photoshop - and Lightroom) must be constantly updated with every new camera make and model which arrives on the market in order to read and edit Raw files from that camera.
Adobe has added support for the D3300 to Camera Raw 8.4 which is about to be released. It is a Release Candidate (RC status) at the moment. So D3300 Raw support will probably be added to the next soon-to-be-released Lightroom update (5.4).

Using the DNG converter, you can then convert the D3300 Raw files to DNGs then open and edit the DNGs in Lightroom 5.3.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I am trying to download raw files from lumix dmc-fz200

I have downloaded dng converter 7.3 and 7.2, but still i cannot download convert raw images from lumix fz200, i.e., convert to dng.
I also have cs5 on the same computer. I tried converting through cs5, but no success.
Please let me know,what needs to be done.

The DNG Converter is a standalone program that converts an entire folder at a time. It is independent of Lightroom. The camera you mention was first supported by LR 4.2 and DNGC 7.2. What version of LR are you using that you need the DNGC for?

Trying to Sync Address Book from TungstenC to Desktop without success - HELP!

I have changed computers. My new computer (PC) runs c MicroSoft Office Professional 2007. I loaded the Palm Desktop software from the original disc (2003). I have been able to Sync all of my other programs x my Address Book. I get a message that states that my desktop is "full." It also states that I should delete some files and try again. All of my Address Book remains on my palm -> simply will not transfer to my desktop into the Palm program. Any thoughts??? Thank you!

Can photoshop CC open raw files from Lightroom 5?

Trying to open raw files from Lightroom 5 in Photoshop CC 2014, with no luck.
Anyone?

Problems are as follows— all versions are current.
1. When in Lightroom, trying to open a photo in Photoshop,-- choosing Photo>Edit in Photoshop CC 2014— Photoshop opens but no photo appears. The only time a photo opens is if it is a JPEG… CR2 does not open, dng does not open
2. When trying to open a JPEG in Photoshop, dialog box opens offering choice between "Edit Original", "Edit a copy", or "Edit with Lightroom adjustments", Only choosing “Edit Original” allows photo to open.
3. When in Photoshop choosing “Browse in Bridge” does not open Bridge… opens CC app and prompts me to install another version of Bridge, or keep version I have. (See attached screenshot) Either way it’s a malfunction… as I said earlier all versions are leanest.
PLEASE HELP!!

New Computer - Can't import raw files from Canon 1D mk 4

I just bought a new Toshiba Qosmio laptop and have reinstalled PS CS5 and LR 3.2 64 bit. LR says there are no other updates to install. Trying to import raw files from CF reader but LR is not showing me the raw files on the import screen. I have installed Camera Raw 6.2 plug in. It's been a long night but I can't see why files aren't importing properly. What am I missing? All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Mark,
The ACR plugin is not needed for importing files with Lightroom. LR has it's own "ACR" built in. The ACR plugin is used when opening Raw files from Photoshop.
Try copying the files from your card-reader to your hard drive using explorer/finder, and try importing from there. There have been quite a few reports where the card reader (and its connection) have lead to trouble while importing into LR.

Hi Gareth. You have three alternatives:
(1) Upgrade to PSE 10 or awit the forthcoming PSE11. (2) Download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your original CR2’s as backup) or (3) Use Canon DPP bundled with your camera.

Just tried to open raw files from my Canon 6D in Photoshop CS5.1. An error message appeared: "
Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.
Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for additional information." Is there a simple solution?

You cannot, nor will you ever be able to open your Canon raw files directly in CS5.1. Your camera model requires at least ACR 7.3 which only works with CS6, or Lightroom 4.3. There will be no further updates for CS 5.1 ever.
Your choices are (1) to upgrade to CS6, or (2) to download the latest version of the Adobe DNG Converter, currently 7.4, and convert your Canon raw files to raw DNG files that you can then open in your CS5.1.
You should also know that the rendering in ACR 7.4 is far superior tou the raw conversion in ACR 6.x, so you would be leaving a lot of image quality on the table if you go the (free) DNG Conversion route.

Trying to import RAW files but receiving "some import operation were not performed" error message.

Trying to import RAW files (from Canon 5D Mark III) but I'm receiving the following error message "some import operations were not performed". I am trying to copy to my Seagate backup drive, however the only destination it will let me copy to is my Lexar flash drive (where I don't want to store them!). I've checked all the file permissions--everything says "read and write". Not sure where to start I recently switched to an iMac where the problems started (never any issues importing into Lightroom on my PC--just slowness). Please help!

Aperture wont open raw files from my panasonic fz18

Hi Everyone, I have been using aperture 3 for about a year and have no problems opening raw files from my nikon camera but I thought I would use my old panasonic FZ18 when I go kayaking just in case the camera gets wet. To my surprise when I downloaded my raw files into Aperture from my FZ18 they would not open. Is there a codec or program update that will enable Aperture to open my raw files.

The FZ18, FZ35 and later are not supported by Apple RAW processing mostly due to the exotic barrel distortion correction that needs to be applied for wide angle shots. Even Adobe DNG converter will not convert the .RW2 files to DNG unless you use dngsanitize to remove the lens correction metadata. You can then bring the DNG files into Aperture.
