The vibrate symbol that appears on screen when turning vibrate on, continually appears on my screen and vibrates all day. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
Although you say you have let the battery drain, was it for long enough? Since nothing else that you've tried so far has worked, I suggest that you leave the iPod unplugged for at least four days, preferably a week. That way, if something is stopping the iPod from turning the screen on, then whatever it is will drain the battrey. However, since the screen isn't on, that may take longer than if the screen was on.
Then, after that time, plug the iPod into a power source and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only after thirty minutes will it show any signs of life, but you should leave it until it is fully charged before trying to use it.
If you get to this stage, the fact that the battery has drained will cause the iPod to reset when it springs back to life.

I just upgraded to Lion. I just installed iLife'11 last night. When I import photos into iMovie (version 9.0.4.) , it imports the same photo over and over as if it were the ones I selected. Not even one of the photos selected!! The thumbnais show that unselected photo, if I preview then I just see the preview screen all black.
I even tried making an iPhoto album and importing straight from there. Exact same thing. I have restarted the application, restarted the computer, and googled half-to-death. No answers.
Do any of you know how to fix this?

I'll be watching a movie in iTunes for Mac, and the movie itself will freeze, but the movie timer will keep going but the movie won't continue playing. I've tried restarting my Mac and restarting iTunes, with no luck.

It sounds like there is a payback issue with one or more movies in iTunes on your Mac. If the movies weren't purchased from the iTunes Store, do you see the same issue with content downloaded from the iTunes Store? I have exclamation marks at the beginning of the titles which has ruined my playlist as it doesn't function as it should. I was downloading music when a scan started which I then cancelled as it was slowing down my download. Ever since then I've had these exclamation marks and now these tunes are not transferrable and I've lost them in my music file on the ipod nano and so cannot reload them again. Anyone know how to remove the !!!'s or clean my files?
You get exclamation marks or dead tracks because iTunes can’t find the file. This can happen for a number of reasons:
The song file or a folder in its path was renamed
The song file or the folder it is in has been moved
The song file has been deleted
The device containing the song files e.g. external drive is not accessible or the drive letter has changed..
Usually the actual music files are still there, so you need to check to see if you can find them.
If they are there, open iTunes and select a problem track, right click and select Get Info.
Answer NO when asked if you want to locate the track.
Now you should see where iTunes thinks the tack is located on the summary tab, how does this compare with where the track actually is.
This info should help work out what has gone wrong. -
I have changed nothing on my computer, and it was opening and functioning fine this morning. However, everytime I try to open it, I get a message box saying "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features." And when the page actually opens, it says "Unexpected response from server

Nothing will load and I don't know what's wrong!Did Firefox update to 4.0.1?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Error 1015: This error is typically caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. from what i have heard this is a common problem. at first my sound occassionally didnt work but now the sound icon in my tool bar at top of screen has gone and there are no settings to get it back. my sound has completely stopped working
please help
i need to know what the problem is and if it is able to be fixed, and also how much the repair would cost or if apple would do it even if laptop is out of warranty ??

Apple will fix it. No pricing without making an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Apple Store. Usually an Authorized Apple Repair Store can do it with a faster turn around time and less expensive pricing. -
