No, unfortunately you cannot merge accounts or transfer any purchased content from one account to another. As I said Apple won't let you do that.

I have two iTunes account (by accident). Some of my purchased music and apps are in one account and some are in the other one. A year or so ago, I was told that it was not possible to combine them. Has this changed? I would really like to have ONE iTunes account.

My wife and I have seperate itune accounts, but want to merge them into one account or at least merge our seperate purchases into one library. Is this possible?

Basic problem...my wife has her own iTunes account which she purchases music with, I have my own that i have been purchasing music with...however, married now as we have similar tastes in music and dont want to be duplicating albums etc.
Was wondering is it possible to merge the two accounts into one account? Or if not, that we carry on purchasing music but have one shared library. Is this possible, any help appreciated.

Just put all of your music/apps/etc on one computer/library. Authorize the computer for both ids.

However I have created my own account which by mistake I entered it wrong on the app store and already created two accounts wrong as the new account. I want to put the correct account to the correct e-mail and add it to the one account I have to my family account. Example would be I have a @msn.com and a @Hotmail account but I need the MSN account to be deleted and to use the Hotmail account and then add the Hotmail account to the @family account.

I don't think so. The only other ID I have is a developer id, and I didn't get that until several months after I got the phone. In addition purchases I made from the App Store onthe phone would sync up with It unes on the Mac meaning it would be the same id.
However I looked at the AppStore on my phone while it was connected to the Mac with iTunes open, and now the balance has changed to the same as the others.

Purchases using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID. Purchases are forever tied to that Apple ID used. You have to decide which Apple you want to use for purchases and stick to that Apple ID so that you can share: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID : > use the same Apple ID here to share purchases.
