I cannot figure out how to delete the videos that are in itunes and when i import pictures, i cannot find the in itunes...

You can't "Import" files into iTunes. Are you trying to get them on an iPod? If so, then watch this movie:

Also, to delete a media item, select it, right-click it, and press "Clear" ( at the bottom of the list). If you want it permanently gone you may select "Move to Recycle Bin" when it asks you.

Creative Cloud subscriptions dont need serial numbers as they work on the basis of your Adobe ID and password . You can use a single Creative CLoud subscription on upto two computers only.

I have two questions. Are unlocked iphone 5 now available in Appple Stores in US? Can i use a factory unlocked iphone 5 (GSM) anywhere outside the United States?
The Apple (Republic of Ireland) online store has the unlocked Iphones 4, 4S and 5 for sale. They are dear but worth it. I ordered the unlocked I phone 5 last week. That said, retail Apple Stores do and will not carry the Iphone line instore. They do however sell some accessories for all Iphones but thats as far as the Irish retail stores go.
Its obvious to me that the Apple sales strategy for the US is different to the Irish one, so your retail stores may carry the unlocked versions at some point in the future.

Hello, I have two questions on time capsule I can only have it on my external hd files and free up my internal memory to my mac I can use an external hard drive, in my case a lacie rugged as shared memory for my two computers
I have a mackbook pro and an iMac if I buy a time capsule 2tb airport, I can use it with time machine and what would be the best way to use it.
There is no particular setup required for TM.. both computers will create their own backup sparsebundle which is like a virtual disk.. Pondini explains the whole thing if you read the reference I gave you.

Up to you.. you can plug the external drive into the TC and enjoy really slow file transfers or you can plug it into your computer and use it as external drive.. which is faster than the TC.. and TM can include it in the backup.

Hi All, I have two questions. First of all my CS3 is saying that it is installed on more than one machine, is there a way of seeing what machines my serial number is registered to? If i want to buy another CS3 serial number how do i go about it? I cannot afford to move to the creative cloud.....
there's no way for you to identify which machines have or had cs3 activated, and you can no longer purchase a cs3 license from adobe.
you can request an activation count reset (Contact Customer Care) and deactivate your cs3 on all your computers. you can then install and activate on up to two computers. -

Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

(1) I want to select certain files and delete them, but I dont want to select all of them, and I dont want to select one by one. With windows to do that I simply click and press shift on the first and last file that I want, and everything in between. I have no idea of how to do that on Mac and I really need to.
(2) I am a spanish speaker and on windows whenever I need to use the letter ñ I simply go Alt+164. Is there a way to use this letter in mac by just using keystrokes??

I have two ipads using the same apple id. My 3 year old uses one to play learning games. How do I set them up so my apps arent displayed on her ipad?
When you connect that iPad to iTUnes, go to the summary page and scroll down, there should be a box saying 'automatically update' or something to that effect. De select that.
With automatically update on, what you buy on one goes onto the other. but with that box off you can choose.
On the iPad itself, it's under
Settings
iTUnes and App Stores
and then you can choose what you want automatically updated between the two devices. -

You could create a smart album in your library on the 2009 iMac and search for photos that have not been taken by the iPhone camera:
This will show all photos you imported from other sources:
Try the command:
File > New Smart album
Then set the Smart rule to "Camera Model is" and select your iPhone.
After selecting the phone, switch the rule to "Camera Model is not", and you will see all photos that did not come from your iPhone. -

You don't know what push means.
Push means new messages received at the incoming mail server are pushed out by the incoming mail server without the email client being used to access the account having to check the account automatically or manually which is called fetch. An account can be checked automatically without having to open the Mail app which is not push.
Manual with the Mail app on an iOS device is not the same as manual with an email client on your computer.
If you launch the Mail app, all email accounts will be checked for new messages even when manual is selected for an account. If manual is selected for an account, it should not be checked for new messages until to launch the Mail app. -

Thank you for any help I appreciate it. Apple products came highly recomended to me, and I have been largely happy with my i phone, i pod, i pad mini and macbook. I admit I tunes always confused me, it is so hard to copy things back and forth from computer to device or vice versa. Most importantly my partner has given me a set of CD with audio books, legitimate CD's not burned copies, and I wish to play them on my i pod touch. I have donethis before with CD''s, however now I look i see all the songs and audio books from CD's have been removed from my device after synch with my itunes on my macbook??? and I can no longer cooy the new CDs on to there? i try put them in the library, and they show up but they are not in black printing like the other songs, they are a faded grey color. They play on the mac book in itunes, so i know they are THERE, they just wont go on my device??? What am I doing wrong and why did all my other ones turn to grey gaded text and go off my i pod.
Furthermore, i thank anyone who takes time to help me, it isnt your job, it is apple's job, but they want me to pay forty bucks for the priviledge of contacting them for help because my warranty expired !! They obviously did something with a new update of their i tunes, there should be NO DIFFICULTY copying audio books i legally own the CD for onto my i pod, why is it so impossible? I have asked my father, my brother, my flat mate, no one can work it out, so its not just that im an idiot.
People warned me that apple does things like this, makes stupid programs like i tunes, that make nothing but trouble so you have to pay to ask for help, and make it so you have to buy everything from their library not on CD. And if they did why shoudl i pay AGAIN when i paid for the CD already , i paid for the I pod, i legally own them both so why can i not put my own music on there??? I am a loyal apple customer, All my devices are apple and until now i have been happy and willing to pay more for a good product. But i tunes is ridiculous! It's already synched things i didnt want synched and deleted things i didn twant deleted, and thats fine i told myself maybe im too dumb and dont get it. buT i've been trying all week and asked other peopel and still cant get this simple task done, and after purchasing their devices and recommending them to my friends, its a slap in the face to say they wont even let me ask a support question without paying forty bucks! A very unhappy customer-- not just that i cant pplay my music and audio books, but that i cant even contact anyone for help without paying after i purcahsed four different products off them in the two years!The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

1 Basically I want to be able to attach a picture to my email. I know I can email from my pictures but it is hard to keep track of those emails.
2 how can I get to my folders. I know they are there when I sort my emails into folders, but say I want to get into one of the folders, eg sent. How ?
Thanks, Arie.If you start in the photos app and select the photo(s) to email, then that email should go into your Sent folder on your email account, so you should be able to keep track of them from there.
To get to your other email folders just tap your account id at the top left of your Inbox (it will be Mailboxes if you've only one account set up on the iPad) and that should take you to a list of your folders, and just tap the one that you want to go into. If you have more than one account active on the iPad you will have a Mailboxes button at the top of the list of folders that allows you to go up another level so that you can select a different account and then folder
