I have update software of iphone 3gs from 4.1 to 6.0.1 but its not getting activate
I tried to upgrade the iphone 3gs software from 4 to 6.0.1 but when i switched it on...it is not getting activated...what to do ? how to get my iphone working again?
It was probably hacked or jailbroken to unlock it. Updating iOS in that case, can brick the phone.

Hi.. My internet and wifi are working on samsung phone and hp laptop but its not getting connected to iphone ipad, only skype is coming online rest all apps and safari show no internet connection. Got new linksys router WRT160NL , but situation same. Tried reboot, renew lease, forget network, reset network setting. Pls advice
Have you tried a simple reset of your iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, have you tried any of the troubleshooting mentioned in this Apple support document?

You asked in your first post if you can legally use this iPhone.
The answer is, almost definitely, no, you cannot. In many jurisdictions, failing to turn in found property over a certain value is called theft by finding. Your Aunt should have turned it in to local law enforcement. I have no way of knowing if Chinese law actually allows for property to be kept if it is found like that, but that's beside the point in this situation. It's not your iPhone. You didn't pay for it. The true owner enabled protections on the device, including Activation Lock.
Apple will NOT assist you with disabling the Activation Lock.

I applied a settings update to my Iphone 3GS and most of my icons went away. I can only open them by going to the app store, searching the name, and clicking open. How do I get the icons back? Also how do you delete an app?

HI Gary: I can't speak directly for movie purchases, but I recently downloaded an App to my iPad. iTunes took part of my payment from my remaining iTunes gift card and the remainder was charged to my credit card. The emailed receipt clearly stated how much was charged to the card.

How can I update software on iPhone 3g from ios 3.1.3 to ios 4?
Recently been given an iPhone 3g. I had to restore the phone to sync to my iTunes. Now a lot of apps will not download as I need at least iOS 4 but the phone is iOS 3. iTunes tells me that this is the latest software for this model when I check for updates. Is there anyway to update to iOS 4?

The iPhone has pretty much been rendered useless as I can not download majority of apps. Therefore it just works as a pretty basic phone. -
The phone was locked to a network which is why they jail broke it.. Not sure why as it's easier and cheaper to have the network unlock it!!! Which is what I would like to do. At the moment we can't upgrade any software... I'd like to honestly and respectfully use this phone...
euh no, that does not sound right. If you restore from back-up it will not fly.
a. You need to turn on iCloud if not done yet so it sync your contacts, calendar data, etc.
b. You need to back up in case something happens
c. Then restore
d. Then go on the app store, purchased, and re-download the app that you want
e. Then go on settings/iCloud and turn iCloud on with your Apple ID to put back your contacts, calendar data, etc.
That should be enough.
