I did a reset on my iphone 4.. now it's stuck on the connect to itunes screen.. I have tried EVERY troubleshooting thing on the apple site. I've reinstalled to a later date of itunes. I've rebooted.. please HELP!! iTunes stopped recognising my iPhone after I undated hence the reverte back to an older iTunes version. My phone's cord is fine it will charge in the wall on the dock as well iTunes just isn't recognising it?!?!
iTunes will also NOT recognize my iPod Touch.. I've reinstalled iTunes several times on all THREE of my computers to the same result.. I'm going insane.. The newest iTunes has made it a real hassle!! Before I updated my iTunes both connected just FINE!! Now neither my computers (3 of them) or iTunes will recognize the iphone4, or the iPod Touch. The threads that people are posting to go back to the SAME 6 troubleshooting steps aren't really helping. ANYONE else had the same problem but was able to resolve?? A little desperate here!! HELP!!

I tried restoring my iPod, but it told me it was unsuccessful. Now it's stuck at the connect to iTunes screen. I've tried holding the home and lock buttons, just until the unit turns off, and until the unit restarts. What do i do? iTunes wont even recognize that an iPod is connected.
Try to connect in reocvery mose, explained in this article:

I did the 4.2 update on my iPhone 3g. But after downloading and updating it, the phone is now stuck on the 'connect to iTunes' screen and does not move further. Tried the recovery mode operation also, but everytime in the end, it hangs at the end and shows the ''We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.' I tried all the usual suggestions of updating iTunes version and updating the Windows updates, but no luck. Even uninstalled the anti-virus. Please help.
It is restored now. Thanks for the comment about disabling firewalls - we did that and tried again and it worked.

You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps... -

"Using modified software can make your device useless:"
Are you serious ? , don't play with me . The device is actually useless right now because of that annoying sim activation process. It's asking me for something I could not do, and there's no button/option to just skip the process. So if there's no option for me, of course I am gonna use modified software, I have no option. The developers did not put a skip button, so I have to use software developed from unknow people that apparently wants to help people suffering with these bad developed things. -
I backed up my phone on itunes before I began this process. I downloaded itunes 11.1 While downloading ios7 I had an error message which was likely due to the limited memory space available on my laptop..(I cleaned some stuff up and it downloaded) When I plugged my phone back in it said it was in recovery mode. I restored my phone and saw that all my apps and music loaded. Then it synced. I tried to swipe the "hello" screen but was taken to the choices:
1. Set up as new iphone 2. restore from icloud backup 3. restore from itunes back up. I have never done an icloud backup and I DID do an itunes backup today so I selected option 3. This is where I'm stuck. It says "connected to itunes' and won't let me do anything else.
(I have restarted my computer, restarted the phone, did the recovery/hold the button down thing, restored it to another point from today etc...)
Any suggestions would be appreciated ..need phone tomorrow!!See Here > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work -
Now my computer isn't recogniing my iPod - it isn't even coming up on the devices - and my iPod isn't doing anything. Any suggestions on what to do?
- Did you try everything here. Saying your: "I've tried all the advice on apple and on the discussions boards" provides us little information as to what you tried.

While trying to update my iPhone 4 to iOs6 it froze on the connect to itunes screen and i needed to do a restore. But it restored my phone to january 2011 even though i just backed my phone to my laptop up 2 weeks ago. I still have all my contacts but i lost a lot of apps and text messages. Is there any way to make it restore to my most recent back up?
I tried powering down and re-starting the iPhone (as suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275). This seems to have cleared the "...not connected to the Internet" problem, and iOS 6.1 is now in the process of downloading.
Thanks very much for your feedback. -
My iPad 2 is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen after trying software update
I was updating my software on my iPad 2. Now it is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen. Help!
That is telling you to connect to iTunes on your computer because now you need to restore the device. Something went wrong when you updated. So connect you iPad to your computer's iTunes and restore.
iTunes: Restoring iOS software -
Ok so i have restored my iPod touch multiple times the restore is "successful" my iPod touch 2g goes to the connect to iTunes screen then it just freezes. After about one minute it goes to a white screen until it dies. Any ideas?
If it does it after restoring to factory defaults/new iPod then yo have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I updated my iPhone today over wifi. It downloaded 6.1.3 completely and started then installed it. After the install all it does is show the connect to iTunes screen. What did I do wrong and now do I have to completely restore the phone?
Next question.... I did an iCloud save point earlier today so in theory everything should have been saved and the restore won't be a complete loss right? Please tell me my pics aren't gone.....
Thanks for the help. -
Since my iPhone 4S was stuck on the connect to iTunes screen after updating to iOS 7, I followed these instructions and restored. But nothing changed! I still have the same picture of a plug with arrow to iTunes.
It is restored now. Thanks for the comment about disabling firewalls - we did that and tried again and it worked.

I downloaded a software update on my iPhone. Now it's asking me to connect to iTunes, but I don't have my computer with iTunes to connect to and won't be able to for a few days. What can I do to use my phone now?
Hi,
Thank you for your reply, I did go to my general settings, but for some odd reason I don't have a restrictions setting, or a reset setting. I thought I could reset all the setting to see if it could be that, but as I said there aren't any.
My husband also has the iPad 2, and also did the software update and hasn't had any problems at all. I took both iPad's and compared the settings thinking maybe there could be a setting that could have been changed when the update was done.
