I have updated my ipad to version 7.1 but in the process all my bookmarks and favourites have been deleted.
I tried switching off and turning back on again but they are still missing, please can someone help?
Go to Settings>WiFi>Network Name - tap the blue arrow next to the name and then tap Forget this Network in the next window. Restart your iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Then go to Settings>WiFi - find your network again - enter the password and see if you can get online.
Or reboot your router - unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
Or go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to find the network and enter the password again.

Do you use iTunes to keep it organized? Do you have any type of backup of either the iTunes Library files or your entire Music folder? Before reinstalling anything, check that your actual music files are still there. Go to your_homefolder/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music and I am pretty sure that all your files are still there. iTunes keeps its library file on the root level of the iTunes folder. It is either corrupted or you somehow created a new one which subsequently is empty. Hold down the option while you click on iTunes, then choose "existing library" and browse to your iTunes folder and select the iTunes Library file and see what happens. Report back if your iTunes Library file is corrupt.

Hi! Please help. I have synced my IPhone 5 to Itunes. When I try to sync it to Iphone 6 plus, only the contacts, calendar, safari bookmarks and notes have synced to the latest date. The rest like SMS and Call History have only synced to June 2013.
I upgraded from an iPhone 4S to iPhone 6 Plus, I don't like to run iTunes, and iCloud backup is not so reliable, I think. Then I searched on the Internet, and some articles told me that I can directly transfer data from Phone to iPhone with some tools.
I doubt it first, then I gave a shot on one of them for the free trial. I follow the steps to transfer about 200 sms from my 4S to 6 Plus, and it works!

WIFI stopped working after I woke the computer up, now says connected to the network but not the internet, all other coputers and devices connected still with no problems, have pinged IP address from router and got the message "4 packets sent none received"... Help
I have tried network diagnostics which doesnt help... The only other ting is, when I woke the computer up it said tat another device was using my IP... My wife had plugged her phone into the computer to charge etc but even when i turn wifi off on the phone there is no change... also in settings on the phone the IP address is different...The answer to your question is - neither!
Your PC should to configured to obtain an IP address automatically, and to obtain DNS server IP addresses automatically, from the Airport Express. This is the way Windows (and Macs for that matter) are configued by default, and that is the way most people have their computers set up. If you manually configured your PC's IP address to be the same as your wife's Mac, it certainly explains why your PC is not able to access the internet. -

You can try this reset procedure to see if it helps:
Double click the Home button. Slide up with one finger on ALL your apps to close them.
Then, Press the Sleep/Wake button + Home button and hold 15 seconds or until you see the Apple logo.
This will reset your device without erasing data, apps or settings. -
I have had the same problem on my PC and laptop where Firefox appears to have been updated and all my settings have been cleared, including addons and bookmarks. What more can i tell you?

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have? -
The problem appeared when version 31 was installed.
Everything was Ok with previous version.Shut down hangs are often caused by Anti virus programs. Try placing an exception for your Thunderbird profile into your anti virus program so it does not scan the files every time they are opened or closed.
But first try restarting with add-ons disabled from the help menu and see if it is an add-on that may be the cause. -
As of last weak, my bookmarks toolbar has been completely missing. I checked my toolbars, and it is definitely one of the ones marked to show. I checked my bookmarks, and nothing has been deleted. I'll appreciate it if anyone can tell me how to get it back, instead of the empty space that I now have.
Just did some experimenting and I fixed it on my computer! My pointer is back to normal!
For me, the problem was caused by the Adobe PDF Viewer plugin in Safari. I noticed that when I would hit F3 for Expose, there was a blank window that said "Adobe PDF Viewer" attached to Safari, but when I tried to click on the window to open it, nothing would happen. I figured this might be causing my issue.
Then I found out that the Adobe PDF plugins aren't supported on the new versions of Safari, so I uninstalled them. Here's how:
1. Go to the folder : Your Hard Drive / Library / Internet Plug-ins.
2. If you see the files AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin and AdobePDFViewer.plugin, drag them to the trash.
3. Restart Safari. Pointer issue should be fixed.

When trying to update my iPad to version iOS 7.0.04 I keep getting 'Unable to Verify Update' message 'Because I am not connected to the Internet'. I am connected. I have reset iPad, reset Internet connections but to no avail?
Boy sure what you are doing but the current iOS level is 7.1 not 7.0.4.
You cannot update to 7.0.4. -
Can someone help please. Since I updated my iPad to version 7.0.4 the screen opens in landscape but as soon as a select an activity it rotates to portrait and will no longer turn as I move the iPad. It is frustrating as I like to work in landscape. Any suggestions?
I do not know if this will work or not, but when my iphone (currently not behind bars if you know what i mean) goes into a recovery loop I use this trick.
first try to get your iphone onto to apple boot logo. you can do this by holding the power and home buttons at the same time. if you can do that you're in good shape, possibly.
Next try to power down the phone. since you can't do the "slide to power down" method you'll need to hold both buttons again. this may cause the phone to power down the up again, keep holding until completely powered down.
Once powered down press the power button and up volume button at the same time and hold them both until the apple logo comes up.
once the apple logo comes up then release the power button and continue to hold the volume button.
Your phone should boot up normally then be sure to go to itunes and backup.
I do not know for sure if that works on any iphone or just my iphone and the state it is in. but it sure is worth a shot.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -

Expanding a bit on what Steve said, the YouTube app is not included with iOS 6. Google offers their own app for free via the iTunes Store, though they do not yet have an iPad version. The iPhone version will work, though not at the full screen size. There are also third-party alternatives, one of which may suit you better. Jasmine is one that a number of people are recommending. You can also use the mobile version of the YouTube site
