I have updated to a new windows 7 computer, and after transfering my itunes library via iphone, itunes has locked me out of the app section of my phone. I can not add or remove apps using itunes. Is there a way to fix this? I have authorized, deauthorized, restarted, rebooted, and reset both my computer and iphone. Anyone got any ideas?? Thank you!

The safest way to do this would be to copy your itunes library to an external drive. For the purposes of this excersize the new Laptop would be the external drive

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

The iPod seems to fail to play all of the occasional track that iTunes, and indeed other PMPs, are happy to play. There is probably some minor technical error in the internal structure of the file which is normally ignored by other playback software but causes the Classic to bail out.
If you use Windows you may like to try scanning the files with MP3Validator which can find & fix some internal MP3 errors.
Some users have also suggested that completely removing all id3 tags and then replacing the information can be a solution. This can be achieved in iTunes by selecting an affected track, right/control clicking and using the option Convert id3 tags> None. Since some files may mistakenly have more than one tag you may need to repeat this action. Once you have confirmed that no tag is present you can replace the tag information using Convert id3 tags > V2.3 (I believe it is recommended to avoid using V2.4).
Personally I have found files for which these solutions don't work. In this case the workaround is either to re-rip the tracks or get iTunes to re-encode the file, e.g.convert AAC to MP3 or vice versa and sync the newly encoded file to the iPod instead. Because transcoding will cause a loss of fidelity you should keep your original file so that if a future iPod firmware resolves this issue you can put your original files back onto the iPod.

Same problem here but figured it out: Drag the song from the Media Browser tab (after selecting iTunes at the top) at the bottom right when you open a new GarageBand project. Hope this helps you -- working perfectly for me!

Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go. You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

Microsoft Word - Times New Roman will not print from my iMac. People send me Word documents, I must select all and choose another font. How can I fix this?

When anyone sends me a Word document via email as an attachment and I attempt to print it out, my printer always spits out a blank page. All Word documents seem to arrive using Times New Roman font. I must then return to the document, select all, reassign a different font, and it then prints okay. How can I fix this? It appears that Times New Roman font is part of my Font Book, and each version of the font (Italic, etc.) appears there in duplicate.

You'll see the duplicate warning. Select the fonts and go up to the EDIT menu,
and go down to RESOLVE DUPLICATES.
You might check for other duplicates while you're there, and resolve them.
RESTART your Mac to have the changes take effect.
Then try your docs again.

I have firefox 4 Beta installed on my computer and I can't get the new Firefox 4 to install, so some of the functions don't work,such as dropdowns on Google Toolbar? How can I fix this?

I installed Firefox 4 beta when it was available as a tester before Firefox 4 was released, so I had two versions of Firefox on my computer. When Firefox 4 was released this week, I installed it and it replaced Firefox 3.6.15. For some reason it seems it didn't install the full version of Firefox 4, instead it's a similar version to the Beta version. For example, the drop down on Google search doesn't work when you click on an item in the drop down. Also the orange button that is supposed to replace the buttons on the top left of the browser is not there. It still has the 8 buttons, ie File, Edit, etc. How can I get the full version to install on my computer? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and I get the same result. When I try to access files on my external hard drive on one macbook, it says I have insufficient access privileges. I use the external hard drive on my other macbook and it works fine. How can I fix this problem?

I've tried looking the answer up on google, but I've come up empty handed. Do I need to change permissions somewhere? I've tried setting everyone to have read and write acess on both machines and that didn't work either.
My macbook that works perfectly with the hard drive is running snow leopard. the other macbook is running leopard. i'm not 100% certain what brand my external is but it says firewire800/usb2.0 on it.

Me compre un ipod classic de 160gb cada vez que trato de ponerle musica de mi disco duro externo solo copia hasta 1500 canciones y luego me congela el Itune y no lo puedo cerrar, me pide que restaure el ipod como de fabrica, lo hago y nada. Trato de cerrar el programa de itune y no me deja, trato de apagar el computador y no lo puedo apagar, he buscado para ver si tiene errores el disco del Ipod y me dice que esta bien. Lo he restaurado como 8 veces y le he puesto musica y videos pero siempre me borra todo. He aplastado Menu y Seleccion para entrar al sistemade diagnostic o del ipod y le pongo el test manual donde entro al IO y me dice q todo esta bien. Le he dado ya varios Format directamente desde el Windows 7 y nada tampoco, siempre me borra todo desde que pasan mas de 1300 canciones y me congeal todo el equipo. Ya no se que pensar de esta compania Apple porque no da ninguna solucion ha este tema.
