I have upgraded to ios5 but can't get wifi sync to work.

I have just upgraded to iOS5 but cant get wifi sync to work. The main itunes library is hosted on my imac. The message on the ipad (and iphone) is that it is waiting on my imac to be available but the imac is on and connected to the same network as the ipad. Is there something I need to do on the imac to get it to communicate with the ipad?

Set up wireless iTunes syncing: Connect iPad to your computer using the Dock Connector to USB Cable. In iTunes, turn on “Sync over Wi-Fi connection” in the device’s Summary pane.
When Wi-Fi syncing is turned on, iPad automatically syncs every day. iPad must be connected to a power source, both iPad and your computer must be on the same wireless network, and iTunes must be open on the computer. For more information, see “iTunes Wi-Fi Sync.”

Can't get WiFi sync to work with iOS 5 devices

I have an iPad 1 and an iPhone 3GS, both running iOS 5. I can't get either device to synch to my iTunes library wirelessly. I have seen the procedures in the KB, but the part that I am missing is that neither device has the "Sync with this iOS device over WiFi" option in the device summary in iTunes, even though I am running iTunes 10.5. Is this because I am running OS X 10.5?

What could be the reason when to get sync session failed to start message. I have upgrades to IOS5 but seemed to have no problems

I had upgraded nearly 1,5 month ago to IOS 5.0.1 and seemed to have no problems during the process (all my aps and books retored fine).
However suddenly today i-tunes says it can't be synchronizes (starting 1/7) because sync session failed to start.
I've tried also with WiFi sync but was always trying to restart syncronization.
I've runned the i-tunes diagnostic for sync and said it passed.
Could be H/W problem with my ipad?

Z3 Compact is amazing! But can't get some things to work...

Hi everyone, this is my first Sony phone, which I bought to replace my Galaxy S4. Went this route because of the reported awesome battery life and because I was fed up with such a "big" phone, and wanted somethign smaller. The flagship-speced Z3 Compact was the obvious choice. I've only had it for close to 4 days, and I'm in love. Xperias Android Skin is so much smoother, complete and logical than Samsungs, while the phone is much cooler and premium-feeling. So far there's three things I can't figure out though. 1. By reading, it seems it's a common problem, some reporting some things fixed it, most don't Facebook Events and Birthdays to show up on the Calendar. My Galaxy S4 showed both. I've only managed to have events show up on my Calendar, but can;t figure out why Birthdays are not there, and how to add them. Any solutions? 2. Message/Notification counts. ON the Galaxy S4, Whatsapp and Line, for example, had a little balloon showing the number of unread messages/notification that the app was reporting. On my Z3 Compact, this is not the case, not even with something more "stock" such as Hangouts, which I use as default SMS client. I know it does such a thing, because the Email app does show the amount of unread emails in a orange-yellowish balloon. Help? Other than those two... I adore this phone. Got close to 60 hours of usual usage out of a single charge, with not a single moment of lag, performance drop or Stamina mode enablment.. That's witchcraft, if you ask me. 3. Email app: I can't find an option to have the client always show images by default, instead of always clicking "Show Images" and then "Always show images". Where can I set this up? 1212m - can't get external sync to work under XP Home...

I gave up trying to run this card under my XP64 system because it's not compatible with 64-bit apps. That's the subject of another thread...
I used to run it in an XP Pro system (32 bit) but have now moved it to an XP Home system and I can't get the external sync to work. The sync is coming in on the ADAT line and I select it in the options menu but the mixer always says "Internal" source for the clock. Furthermore, when I set the source to external, close the options dialog, then re-open it, it's back on internal.
The ADAT lines are correctly linked because I can hear the distorted audio coming across. What's more, when I set external sync in the options, the card seems to be sync'ed because the distortion goes away, even thoug the mixer still says internal sync. But if I shut down and re-boot, or if I change sample rate on the external source, it goes back to the distorted sound.
Let's see if this one gets any responses...

You will have to keep them both open and play around with monitor settings until you get them both working. Keep doing "Gather windows" in System Preferences to get the display preferences window for the 2nd monitor and change it each time it doesn't display anything.
I don't know what it means "you will have to set it".
You have to set the desktop for the additional screen. Once you get closed clamshell to work, the external monitor will be your primary screen and you won't have to worry about it.
