I have used firefox for years. I watched the Getting Started tutorial. I need help in identifying the "Firefox button"

If some of the features on the tutorial are not new, I didn't know about them and have never used them. The video moved along very quickly. I found it difficult to keep up. I couldn't find the "Firefox button" referred to in the instructions. It seems there a lot of great features available that I would like to use. I don't like Safari or IE. I much prefer Firefox, but I need clearer guidance. Thank you for any help you might offer.

You have no Firefox Menu button on a Mac. 
The Firefox button is only available on Windows and Linux and shows when the Menu bar is hidden. 
On Mac the menu bar is maintained by the Mac OS and not by Firefox and the Menu bar is always visible and can't be hidden, so there is no need for such a menu button.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iTunes. I suggest removing iTunes and all related components and reinstalling iTunes for the issue you described. The following article has steps to do this(it is important to remove all components in the order listed):

When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

I believe you can specify italics by putting a slash before and after the text, bold is done using asterisks before and after text, and underline is done using the underline character before and after text.

I'm guessing that if you were not a "power user" of Appleworks, you will find Pages to be quite easy. More so if you take just a few hours to read the User Guide before you begin, and if you consult the User Guide as you encounter things you don't understand immediately.
There are many users here who can help you get started.

When it starts setting up the trial, it says "trying to connect to server" and will not go any farther in the process. I have left it for multiple hours, yet it never works. I need help!!

When i go to sign on it says firefox is already running, but is not responding and to close exisiting FF process or restart system. Have used FF for years with no problems?

That suggests that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

I have used lightroom for years on my PC and just installed it on my new iMac. I cannot import NEF files from iPhoto or from my Lacie hard drive into Lightroom. I have tried Lightroom Help but still cannot import NEF files. What am I doing wrong?

If they are the same nef files that you were importing into your PC, see if the reason is an error message like the thread above this one. Permissions issue.

Cannot load canadian tire website have used site for years

It has been a bookmark site for 3 yrs (www.canadiantire.ca) about 6 days ago could not load - connection timed out - was the error. Have contacted my internet provider - no problem at his end - made site a trusted site etc.
It did happen shortly after I download AVG trial antivirus - since then I have uninstalled that program.
All other sites work, just not this one. Is there anything I can do?
