This is longer than normal, connect iPhone to wall charger so it can have enough power. If still problem and you decide you cannot wait more, you may have to Restore iPhone in DFU Mode.

'My Menu' refers to the third tab on the Main Menu, and the
authorization of 'Organize My Menu' works as below:
- Full Authorization: Allows the user to access the Organize User Menu
window (Tools -> User Menu -> Organize) and customize the menu.
- No Authorization: The user cannot open this window.

How do you return to main menu at end of movie in iDVD 11?
I have created a movie in iMovie '11 with chapter markers, and imported it into iDVD 7.1.2 (1158) on an iMac
running OS X Lion 10.7.2
The movie imports all chapters with corresponding labels perfectly. I added a chapter at the very beginning of the movie in iMovie, and it shows up fine in iDVD.
I removed AutoPlay since I want the DVD to play the Main Menu upon inserting it into a DVD player. What I can't figure out is how to make the DVD return to the Main Menu once it finishes playing to the end of the movie. It will automatically go to the Chapters selection menu instead. Is it possible to have it return to the Main Menu?
In God's HarmonyIt is very possible that your iDVD Project has no Chapter Markers.
It's possible. My "project" which included pictures as well as movies was all done in iPhoto as a slide show. From there I exported the slideshow into iDVD.
I sort of messed up "I think." I believe I did the original burn incorrectly-tester #1. I re-burned another one this afternoon which turned out very well-tester #2. Think I will stick with the options I used for tester #2 since it was the easiest.
For "chapters" I will need to do some extensive "how to" reading especially when it comes to iMove. I used iPhoto since it accepts both photos & movies. I "think" iMovie only deals with movies?

Main menu - weird menu call problem
Here's how the DVD I'm currently building plays like this:
Copyright warning -> Logo -> Teaser Trailers -> Main Menu
When you finally arrive at the main menu, if you hit "Menu" on the remote is simply replays the teaser trailers again.
Can anybody explain why it's doing this, and how I can stop it?As has been said - what you are seeing is the (quite normal) resume function. You can stop it from happening by either putting the teaser footage into a menu and not a track, then playing that menu instead, or by simply denying the user operation for the menu button when in the main menu.
You do the latter by clicking on the main menu icon in the outline view, then look in the property inspector, and switch to the 'advanced' tab. In there, put a tick in the box next to 'Menu Call' and it will prevent any use of the menu button whilst in the menu.
However, if you do this, be aware that the normal resume feature will be prevented - for example, if your viewer is in the main feature and presses menu, then uses the menu button again they will expect to go back to the main feature, but won't be able to. -
Audibooks and Podcasts main menu items screw things up!
I'll apologize in advance if this has been covered before. I'm new to the forum and I searched around and didn't find anything.
Ok, I've got a weird bug going on. I have a 4GB 2nd Gen iPod Mini. I have the latest (1.4.1) software. I only just began noticing this issue because I just began subscribing to and listening to podcasts last week. Normally, I listen to lots of audiobooks.
Here is my issue:
-I have had "Audiobooks" on my main menu. I just added "Podcasts" to my main menu.
-If I choose "Podcasts" from the main menu, and then go back and go into "Audiobooks", it is a blank list.
-If I then go to Music>>Audiobooks, they are there.
-After choosing Music>>Audiobooks above, I can then view them when I go to "Audiobooks" off of the main menu.
-However, if I DO go to Audiobooks on the main menu, then the list of Podcasts dissappears from the "Podcasts" menu option on the main menu.
-However, if I go to Music>>Podcasts, they are all listed there. And after selecting Music>>Podcasts, they will now appear magically on the Podcasts main menu option.
-Unfortunately, if I go to Podcasts on the main menu, my audiobooks disappear from my Audiobooks main menu item.
AHAHHHHHHHH!!!!! It *****. Basically, it will always work if I choose either Audiobooks or Podcasts from the Music submenu. But if I choose either from the main menu it causes the OTHER to have all the items in it disappear!!!
Has anyone else noticed this??!?yes.. my audiobooks are showing up under Music/Audiobooks.. and missing from the main men audiobooks, where they used to be. Some kinda bug, as they used to be there. Most of the are from Audible

I have just connected my new apple TV and in the main menu see only two icons: computers and settings. How do I access the rest of the icons (internet, movies etc...) We do not live in the US. The unit has full WiFi access with no problems, I can access ITunes on my laptop via home sharing no problem.
Glad that this solved your problem but if you searh past threads there are a LOT of people with identical problems.
Reading through the threads my take is
There seems to be something awry with wifi chipset. Typical symptoms are initially being able to connect to connect to a Wifi network then the connection is dropped. Then you see just the 'computers' and 'settings' icons on screen
Power off, reset and factory restore doesnt seem to solve it
Occasionally its nearby antenna cables etc causing interference
One report with convincing evidence it was the HDMI cable, swapping to anotehr cable fixed the problem
Plugging in ethernet works, this is purely a wifi issue
Sometimes plugging in ethernet temporararily wakes up the wifi
Many people seem to have exchanged their units only for the same thing to happen to the new unit a few weeks later. Just wondering if its a fomponent fail or heat issue. -
To display main menu in Safari on iPad Air, I have to double-click on the button.
Put up my new Muse website and it works well in all the browsers I tested on my PC. However, when I tap on a main menu button while in Safari on my iPad Air, all that happens is that the sub-menus display. I have to tap the main menu button again if I want the main menu page to display. This is not true of a website I built in Joomla. There, a single tap takes me to the page. Is this a bug? If so, is there a fix?

I installed the Mail 2 Group App on my iPAD, created an email which I saved to the 'Draft' folder, with something over 300 of my contacts in the bcc. On returning to this email, again in my iPad, the screen locked in mail for a few seconds and bounced bak to the main menu. This repeated on my iPhone, on which I have been carrying out my own checks - this includes deleting the Yahoo account, hard reset (red cross and two buttons), restoring a backup and Reset All in settings.
I'm stuck !!Sending a message with that many addressees may have required more RAM than was available. You can clean up RAM as follows:
Double-press the HOME button
Kill each app by flicking its screen image up
When all apps except the Home screen are closed press HOME
Wait about 2 minutes for the shutdowns to finish
Turn the phone off (hold the SLEEP button until "slide to power off" appears, and do so)
Wait another minute
Turn the phone back on by holding the SLEEP button until an Apple logo appears
Now try to send the mail again. Note that you may have an unrelated problem if this works: Many ISPs (Yahoo included) limit the number of email recipients for a single message as a way to combat spam. -
Firefox was fine on my LapTop earlier today, Now, I have no access or visualization of the Main Menu Listings that are usually just below the title bar,i,e,,File,Edit,View,History,Bookmarks, Helpetc. Since I don' have access (it's not there), I cannot change settings. I have uninstalled and re-installed and it re-installs the same way.

When I try to open safari the icon stats bouncing and then nothing happens other than the cursor turning to a spinning rainbow wheel when it hoovers on the top main menu bar. I have shut down and restart several times. My safari worked yesterday and then today this, but with. I indication of a problem. I can't even get the browser window to open so that I can clear caches or reset anything. When I opened my computer this time I don't even get a bouncing icon. No recognition of selecting the program at all. If I go to spotlight and try to open safari from here I still get no response. Can you help?

If you have moved the Safari application from the Applications folder, move it back.
As far as the cache goes, there's a work around for that when you can't empty the Safari cache from the menu bar.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.aple.Safari.Cache.db. Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Try Safari.

hey how are you guys listen i have an iphone 4s the one i use with the H20 CARRIEr and i trying to enable the option call forwarding and when i type tho number i go back and i notice to the call forwarding it turning off as soon i back to the main menu ?
There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon. -
My apple tv main menu no longer displays the "movies" section, just internet, computers, and settings. Does anyone know why or how to get it to show again? Recently rented a movie directly through apple tv but can't see the "movies" section in main menu now. WiFi and home sharing are working.

Check the location setting for the iTunes Store is correct.
You might also try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.

My ipod warranty ran out a few months ago I have a nano 5th gen. The problem is that if I want to play a song it would show the album artwork for about 3 seconds and go back to the main menu with no music playing. It'snot the head phones or ear jack. Please I Need Help

My Apple TV stops and returns to main menu during movie playback and photo slide show via homesharing. I have a second Apple TV in another room that works fine.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel. -

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)
