I have Windows 7, machine time is 9:00 AM Message says sent at 6:00 AM. How do I correct this?

Am using gmail as my email account. Time stamp on messages sent is 3 hours behind computer time.

After looking at time stamp of posted question, I saw PDT after time sent. Checked computer and found machine had reset itself to PDT time zone instead of eastern. Changed zone, fixed problem.
