I haven't been able to access the internet using Firefox for over a week. What is causing this? Is there an issue with Firefox?

I can't access the internet using Firefox. My internet connection is working perfectly fine as I can access the internet using internet explorer. I don't feel safe using internet explorer and prefer Firefox. Please help!

Your firewall may not recognize the new version of Firefox; it is just doing its job. You may need to remove references to Firefox from your firewall's allowed applications list, then try to go to any website, let your firewall detect the new version of Firefox, and give Firefox the permissions needed by your firewall to access the internet.

Thank you for the reply.
You were correct that deleting the app and reinstalling it was the only thing to make it work but unfortunately I lost all the documents I made, even though they were backed up to iCloud before i deleted the app. At the same time as deleting pages I had to delete keynote and numbers too, so I've lost all the documents in them too.
The mb of data which was assigned to each programme in iCloud has reduced, so. I guess they are gone for good. Is there any other way to reaccess them?
Not your fault but I am a bit fed up the the iPad. I have lost work that I've done and have no other copy apart from what was in iCloud, as I don't have a printer and couldn't email them too myself as I couldn't get into the programme and i've also got episodes of tv series I purchased that I can't download and albums that are half downloaded with songs missing, so I feel a bit swindled out of time and money and am going back to DVD , pen and paper and CDs .
Instead of using iCloud I guess the only way to make sure I don't loose any more documents it to email them to myself each time I save them on the iPad. Is there anything else you could suggest please?
I don't have any other apple products apart from iPods, so I can't access the iCloud on anything else can I?

HT1386 I am trying to sync my iPod Touches calendar to my MacBook Pro calendar. I have been successful at syncing the events from my MacBook Pro's iCal to the iPod but haven't been able to sync the events from my iPod to my MacBook Pro. Is this possible?

I have an iPod touch that I often use to manage different events for work. I have been able to sync the events on my calendar from my MacBook Pro to the iPod touch successfully using wifi. What I really need to do though is sync my iPod calendar events to my MacBook Pro calendar. Is this possible? How do I set this up? It would be a huge help if I could transfer the events on my iPod calendar to my computers calendar. I currently have the wifi sync option on and have turned on the sync calendars option in iTunes. Thank you for your help!

Incorrect IP displayed, but can connect to the Internet. How can I find out what's causing this?

I'm running 10.6.8, and various programs and websites that report my IP address are not displaying the correct one. I'm operating with a static IP, and I know my AirPort's IP, and the one displayed is neither of those (and in fact cannot be given out by my airport).
I can still connect to the Internet, but some services which require people to connect to my IP fail because the program on my end is hosting at the wrong IP.
Is there any way to find out where this rogue IP came from and eliminate it?
Of note, my AirPort is my only active network protocol (all others are disabled), and about 10% of the time, a restart manages to fix the problem until the next time I boot up my computer, without me changing any other settings.

When you use the Internet, you need to have a registered IP address. This is provided by your ISP, and you have assigned it to your Router.
You then get a "private" IP Address from your Router via DHCP which, by definition, is not visible or reachable on the Internet, in one of these ranges:
192.168.xxx.yyy
172.xxx.yyy.zzz
10.xxx.yyy.zzz
Your Router acts as your agent on the Internet, and bad guys cannot send you... anything you do not have your Router ask for, as you are invisible.

What router are you using? make/model/version
What security type are you using? If it is WEP then symbolic (non hex) keys may be converted to hex in different ways by different operating systems. Is your laptop a Windows PC?
If you are using WEP then drop it and move to WPA2. WEP has been deprecated by the WiFi alliance since 2004 as insecure (it can be hacked in seconds).

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

I haven't been able to access the iTunes store for almost a year, having been knocked out after downloading an iTunes update. With the most recent update, I can no longer access radio broadcasts as well.

To solve the iTunes store problem, I have tried the suggestions suggested by Apple on the website to no avail. Since downloading the last iTunes update, I can no longer access radio broadcasts. It tries to connect to tuning service, but the refreshing catagory list notice never stops and connection is never made. No store connection and no classical radio connection--What will I loose with the next update? I'm not a computer person and don'y know what to do! Help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Qosmio F750-10N and Win8.1 - haven't been able to get the right BT drivers

Since upgrading my HDD and installing Windows 8(.1), I haven't been able to get the right Bluetooth drivers for my Qosmio F750-10N.
If I go through the download drivers section of the site, the drop down boxes for Language and region seem to be faulty so it won't show me any drivers.
Tried installing a generic Toshiba Bluetooth stack but it doesn't seem to be able to recognise my actual Bluetooth device. Also tried going through the Atheros site without much luck.
Please could someone help or possibly post a link to a download mirror.

First of all it seems that Win 8.1 is not supported for Qosmio F750.
Therefore I could be difficult to get BT working
However, as far as I know the Qosmio F750-10N was equipped with an Atheros AR9285 WLan/BT combo card.
This means that one module shares the WLan and BT and you need to install the Atheros BT Filter driver.
Beside the BT filter installation you have to install the Toshiba System Driver for Win 8.1
This system driver needs to be installed before BT filter driver.
But as I said: Win 8.1 is not supported for this Qosmio unit and you will not find Win 8.1 drivers in the F750 driver download section.
But you should try the drivers released for other, newer Qosmio series; i.e. X870

I recently upgraded my original Hitachi 160GB hard drive on my Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 to a WD 320GB hard drive, and cloned my original hard drive image to the new hard drive using Acronis True Image WD Edition's Disc Cloning utility. I had the utility resize the original partitions proportionally. Everything else seems to have transferred correctly to my new hard drive, but I find that ONLY Internet Explorer is able to access the internet, although I can ping my network printer, the other computers on my home wireless network, and even other IP addresses on the internet such as www.google.com, etc.
I had removed my previous ZoneAlarm Free Firewall before doing the hard drive upgrade; it appears to have been conflicting with my Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird applications, causing them to hang up and then not close down properly. I am currently using only the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender, along with AVG 9.0.814 Free Antivirus, SpyBot S&D 1.6.2.0 and Spywareblaster 4.3. I also used to use AdAware Free Edition, but had to uninstall it as I have not been able to update it to the newest version successfully.
Is there something in the Windows Vista Home Premium OS I have on my machine that might be causing this problem? It is funny that ONLY Internet Explorer is able to access the internet now.

Yes I do, and even with them checked to allow access (i.e., as an exception), it does not help. I have tried all of the MS help about the problem, but they refer me to my machine's manufacturer for support, since my copy of Windows Vista came with it. I cannot even use my DVD NeXtCopy software, as it requires access to the internet too, and even after re-installing it, I cannot activate the new installation because it cannot access the activation server!
I hope someone can help me. Upgrading to this new hard drive should not be so disastrous!
