I haven't been able to minimize any windows for several weeks. But I found the solution!

Since I use many programs simultaneously, this has cramped my style. The yellow minimize button hasn't worked, nor has Command-M or double-clicking the title bar (which is enabled), not even choosing Minimize in the Window menu! I've tried everything -- removing startup apps and plug-ins that seemed to have been orphaned, archiving and trashing tens of thousands of files, but nothing helped. Finally I remembered that I had enabled "Minimize windows into application icon" in the Dock System Preference pane a month ago. I unclicked that option and voilà ! All of my windows were able to minimize again!
I haven't used that "Minimize windows into application icon" option for many years, but I have no idea why enabling it prevented my Finder and application windows from minimizing. Every time I clicked the yellow button, the button darkened and a spinning beach ball appeared for two or three seconds, then the yellow became bright again and the window remained on the desktop.
I'm just putting this message here in case anyone else encounters the same problem.

Is the network having trouble today? I haven't been able to receive any email on my iPhone today at all. It just says "checking mail" with the spinning wheel. Update: An Apple rep called me today to update the status of my return. I was told that the replacements for the BLACK iPad 2's was still another 3 weeks out (at least) so they offered me a brand new WHITE 16GB iPad 2. I could have that or continue waiting. I opted to go ahead and accept the offer of a new white one. Worst case scenario if I don't like the white one I have buddy that just bought a 16GB black one that he would be willing to swap it.

I've tried this now with 3 different emails, and the message reads: go to the iTunes support page. I've emailed Apple, and they were extremely unhelpful. I was given the most vague responses by Bidyut from the iTunes Store Customer service team. I would just like to be able to use this phone since I'm paying for it.

It might be helpful if you told us exactly what the error was... If you don't give us specifics, the best you're going to get is vague responses.

When I go to install app I'm asked for my password which I enter and then press go and
it looks like it is going to load then switches back to the app I'm trying to load and then
I'm back where I started. I have tried more than ten times, I have even changed my password
on Apple ID.

You posted in the "Using Mac App Store" forum but your profile indicates you are using an iPad so that's what I'll try helping you with.
On the iPad tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then restart the iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Here is what you can try,
Hold both the power and home buttons until the device powers off, may take 10sec. Let go of both as soon as screen goes black.
Open itunes on your computer and plug in your cable to the computer but NOT the phone.
Once itunes is open hold down the home button on phone and plug in cable and continue holding home button until you see the connect to iTunes logo on screen. iTunes will give a msg that a device has been detected in recovery mode. Now select restore and do not disconnect until you see your device in iTunes again.
Set the device up as NEW and see if the issue is still there.

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.

Any apps you have installed from the old AppleID will always be tied to that AppleID. You have no choice but to enter the password for the old AppleID if you want to update apps downloaded using that ID.
The only way to stop being asked for the password for the old AppleID is to remove all apps from the device that were downloaded using that old AppleID.
You'd then need to re-download (and re-purchase) any apps you want to keep using under the new AppleID.
Apps cannot be transferred between AppleIDs.
