I help me itunes authorized 5 computer

i can itunes authorized 5 computer
Thank you

I have been having similar problems as well. Have been attemtping to install/update iTunes to 10.5 since yesterday to no success - I keep getting errors after which I have to re-install an older version of iTunes, otherwise it doesn't work.
Hopefully Apple fixes this soon - I want iOS 5. Very unprofessional of Apple to have this.

  • Help moving iTunes to new computer

My old computer died, but I was able to get the hard drive to work as an external. I have the library.itl and library.xml files on this external hard drive.
What I've done so far. Put all the music in the iTunes music folder on the new computer. iTunes does not see these files. Then I replaced the xml file on the new computer with the one from the old computer and did a replace all correcting the location of the music folder. Then I deleted the library.itl file (I found this suggestion somewhere) and restarted iTunes. Nothing happens. Am I missing an important step?
I really don't want to lose my playlist/rating data. I have 48 GB of music that was organized nicely when my old computer bit it.
An anybody help me with this?
    Thanks in advance.

This might not be the right answer but.... If you can see the files on the old hard drive. Have you tried to make a back up disc(s) of the iTunes files? I had a B-Tree error and lost all my iTunes files that I had not backed up in four months. I went to the local Apple Store in Norfolk VA and the bastards there would not even look at my external hard drive. I ended up going to Best Buy and they helped me...... some.
As far as moving to a new Apple Computer, I've always connected the two computers via a firewire cable and started the one in the Terminal mode.Everything moved from the one to the other.
Good Luck! Hope you can get some help soon.

  • Help, New itunes on different computer with old ipod.

    Hi
My old computers hard drive crashed completely ,and all my music was from CD's that i have sold now. So is there anyway off getting my music off my ipod touch 2gn on to my new netbook and without my ipod being wiped clean?

Where is your backup copy of all important info/music/pics/docs? This is basic.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, then you could try ( at your risk) a 3rd party program to get the music off of the ipod ( Apple does not support this).

  • TS4062 I purchased a new desktop, downloaded iTunes, & authorized the new computer in iTunes, but, I can't sync with the new computer because I get a message that says "sync will resume when Owner HP is on-line. That was the old computer.

I purchased a new desktop computer, downloaded iTunes, authorized the computer thru iTunes, but, unable to sync with iPad3. I get a message stating "sync will resume when OWNER HP in on-line. That was the old computer, which no longer has iTunes on it. What can I do?

You still have to make the new computer and the iTunes library the new syncing library. Did you transfer all of your content into iTunes yet or copy the iTunes library from the old PC to the new one?
If you no longer have the old computer and did not copy the iTunes library to the new one, read this user tip.
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
If you did tranfer everything over, you probably have to set up WiFi syncing again in iTunes in order for the iPad WiFi settings to see your new computer.

  • Installing iTunes on new computer with library on external HD

I have my library on an external HD and have been using it with my laptop. Well the laptop is dead and I'm wanting to start using my mini. I downloaded iTunes, authorized the computer, signed in, plugged in the external HD and changed the pathway of the media folder location to the folder where the library is on the external HD (under the advanced tab of preferences). iTunes still does not "see" the library. What else do I need to do? I really do not want to copy it over to the computer's HD, I'd like to continue using the external HD since it has 1TB.
Thanks so much for the help.

Launch iTunes with the Shift key held down, click on Choose Library, and point it there. If only the iTunes media was stored on the drive, open the Advanced section of its preferences, ensure it's not going to copy the media to the internal drive, and drag the iTunes media folder into the open iTunes application window.

  • I have itunes on one computer. my account says that I have 2 computers authorized. I want to have itunes on both users accounts on my computer. how do I do this? thanks for any help!

I have itunes on my computer in my main user account. I want ot have the same itunes on the other user account on my computer - under the apple account info- it says that I already have 2 computers authorized - how do I find out which 2 they are talking about?  the only button nearlby is one that says to 'deauthorize all' etc.... thanks,. I have a pc.

You can only deauthorize all your itunes computers once a year, so I would avoid clicking that at the moment.  Log onto the 2nd user, and open itunes.  Go to Store> Authorize This computer.
As an alternative, you could point the 2nd user itunes library to the primary itunes folder.  So both users would use the same itunes folder.  You can do this by holding shift, clicking itunes icon.  There should be an option to browse for an existing library.  Locate the main computers itunes folder. (Most likely under: C:\Users\*Account name*\Music where *Account name* would be your main user accounts name.
    Good luck!

Is your iTunes up to date, it is now 10.7, click the iTunes button at the top of this page if you need the new version.

  • When Syncing IPhone I Can't Make Changes.. ITunes Says My Computer Is No Longer Authorized...

    Hey all,
I have a problem with ITunes.  I have a new Iphone 6+ and I have the latest version of ITunes loaded on my laptop.  When I connect my phone to make changes to the icons and screens, I authorize my laptop.  ITunes tells me I have Successfully Authorized this Computer.  Then I will go into the different screens and move icons around and delete some and change the way my IPhone looks.  When I click APPLY ITunes then tells me that it cannot make changes to the Iphone because this laptop is no longer authorized.  I didn't make any changes to ITunes or anything.  I just plugged my phone in and tried to change the icons around and am not able to do so.
I looked on here and found similar issues and an article was posted to tell how to correct it.  It contained 3 or 4 remedies, Authorizing using the Administrator Account, Changing the User Level Security and deleting the SCinfo folder.  I've done all of these and nothing works.
I don't understand what is going on with ITunes where it tells me the computer IS authorized and then when I try to make any changes to my Iphone, it will try to SYNC and then tell me that it is NOT AUTHORIZED to make changes.
It's pretty hard to enjoy my new phone when I can't do anything or make any changes to it.
PLEASE HELP...this is driving me CRAZY!!
    Thank you
    MUHerd

I guess I solved my own problem.
After de-authorizing and re-authorizing didn't work. I signed out of my iTunes account, waited a minute, and signed back in. Then, when I connected my iPod to my computer, the game was recopied back to the iPod.
    Whatever works....

  • I reinstalled my computer's operating system.  How do I transfer music from my Ipod to my music library?  It transfered some, but not all my music.  I authorized the computer, but it did not help.

The sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The only exception is itunes purchases.
The ipod is not a backup device.
You need to copy everything back using your backup copy.

  • Itunes says my computer isn't authorized, then it says it's already authorized. Endless circle..

I know there are several threads similar to this one, but I wanted to start my own and include the exact messages that keeps popping up. Today when I tried to sync (by USB) my iPhone 4, I got the following sequence of messages:
    1) "This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone "MyName". Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store? If you do not authorize this computer, 11 apps and their data will be deleted from this phone."
    2) My options are to click on "Cancel", "Don't Authorize", or "Authorize"... I click on "Authorize."
    3) I then enter in my Apple ID and password and get the following message...
    4) "This computer is already authorized. Including this one, you have authorized one computer out of your available 5."
    5) I then click "OK" and message #1 pops back up. This cycle repeats over and over.
So far I've gone into "Shared" folder and do not have a SC file to delete. I've deauthorized and authorized my computer. I've started and restarted my computer after deauthorizing and authorizing and nothing seems to work. To make matters more frustrating, I haven't made any changes and everything was working great a week ago. I also don't think it's in iPhone issue because a week ago I downloaded a song and got a similar message sequence when I tried to play the song. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The computer is new and I guess this is more of a computer than an iPhone problem, isn't it?
    Is the computer a Mac?
If so, perhaps also give the following document a try:

  • Itunes says my computer isn't authorized to play certain songs but it is.

Due to poor planning on our part, my wife and I have three apple ID's.  For some reason, iTunes now won't play music that was purchased with the oldest apple ID.  Whenever I try to play a song bought with that ID, I get a message saying "This computer is not authorized to play 'Song Name.'  Would you like to authorize it?"  I am then prompted to enter the password for the apple ID.  After I've done that, I get a message saying "This computer is already authorized."  However, it still won't play anything.  I've searched throughout this forum and found similar issues, but all of the solutions seem to be tailored to previous OS and versions of iTunes.  I'm using Mountain Lion and have iTunes 11.2.  I've tried deleting all of the com.apple.iTunes files from Library, but that didn't seem to do anything.  Any help will be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Thanks.  I had already read that article and followed the steps.  The article is outdated and appears to be talking about a previous version of iTunes and/or OS X (I couldn't find a SC Info folder anywhere).  I did figure out the issue on my one.  One of my apple ID's is fakeappleid and the other is [email protected]  When I clicked "Get Info" on the songs that weren't authorized anymore, it said that they were associated with the fakeappleid user name.  Also, iTunes kept prompting me to enter the fakeappleid login info and then telling me that the computer was already authorized.  Only when I tried re-authorizing my computer for [email protected] would my songs play.  So the confusion lies with the fact that iTunes was telling me one apple ID wasn't authorized my computer when it was actually another apple ID that wasn't authorized.  Hope that makes sense.
