I hid a folder with terminal and now I can't get it back.

I used this
chflags hidden /Users//craigsequeira/Desktop/School Work
in terminal to hide my "School Work" folder and now I don't know how to get it back!
Could you guys help me out cause there is a lot of data in there!

This will bring it back:
chflags nohidden /Users/craigsequeira/Desktop/School\ Work
To enable hidden folders/files visibility
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool true ; killall Finder
To reverse:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool false ; killall Finder

Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

If you're using Lion, you can resize by dragging from any corner, in Leopard and lower it can only be resized from the bottom right hand corner.

I closed all the taskbars at the top and now I can't get them back.

I closed all the task bars at the top (so now there is only the blue strip that says 'Firefox - Mozilla Firefox' and the tabs) and now I can't get them back. Tried right clicking everywhere and all the options (right click Firefox in the start menu) but I can't get it back. Have you tried going to settings - iTunes store - check for rentals? If it does not initially appear try logging out and back into your account.

I moved the project files and now I can't get them back into iMovie 11

I was working on a project but I ran out of disk space before I could finish it. Now, for this very purpose, I have an external hard drive with plenty of space on it. So I tried moving the folder with all my project files onto the external hd, and now iMovie can't find my project anymore. With iMovie '06 it was as simple as hitting "save as" and saving the project to the external hd, but I guess that's not complicated enough for the new version. Now I can't get into my project. I even try clicking on the actual project file, and it goes to iMovie as if the project was about to open, but nothing happens. So I fear I wasted a lot of time working on that project only to have to start all over because I ran out of disk space.
Someone please tell me there's a way to get the project files open again. Thanks

that is a simple one and should be a routine after purchasing a new drive (in a Mac-only environment!):
• on your Mac, Apps/Utilities you'll find Disk 'Utility'
• on the left lane, you'll notice your connected hard drive(s)
• select it, click on the 'erase' tab
• NOTE: FORMATTING A DRIVE MEANS ERASING ALL CONTENT ON THAT DRIVE!

When I first set up my tabs, I had google's "first" page saved as a tab. I somehow erased it, and now I can't get it back. It will only save a "search" page.

I have Google as my home page, and I like the "tiles", when I open a new tab. The first "tile", I pinned as Google's home page. so I can quickly, and easily copy (say, a celebrities name), hit tab hit Google and paste.
Now , I have lost the Google home page, and can;t get it back, as a tile. I don't want to change the tabs setting to go straight to Google every time, because I use the other tiles too.
I know it sounds petty, but i got quite used to having that,(and I know I can use bookmarks), but that is much more troublesome for my shaky hands than some people realize.

All you need to do is open a new tab, go to the last tile space at the bottom right of the page and, if it's used, click on the little X at the top right of the tile. Click until the space is empty. You may have to close several tiles before the space becomes empty.
Next, go to the address bar and type in google. The full address should pop up. Hit enter to go to the page. If you have to, type in the full address of google.com and hit enter. When the page loads, (and I'm assuming here that you have your browser set to remember your tabs when you re-open the window - if not see further instructions below), close the browser window. If a warning message pops up that "You are about to close ? many tabs" (where there is a question mark there will be a number), click OK.
Wait 5-10 seconds for the program to completely end and then open your browser again. When you open a new tab, you'll see the Google tile in the bottom right of the tile matrix. Click and drag it to whichever space you want it in and then click the little pin in the top left of the tile.
Voila! You should have your Google tile back. I too suffer from unsteady hands and can relate to hating bookmarks. However, you should be able to search for whatever you want to with the search in the address bar.

You can't delete iTunes. The preinstalled apps cannot be deleted or installed again. It's there somewhere.
Swipe from screen to screen to look for it.
Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that you didn't disable it.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

Lost all my tabs when my computer died and now I can't get tham back

I forgot to plug in my computer while I was browsing Firefox and it died. I was not worried as this has happened before, but when I reopened Firefox and tried to restore my 53 tabs (I know I have a problem, I love tabs) I was unable to click restore previous tabs in History. I don't know what to do because these tabs were collected over a period of months. I tried to rename the systemstore.bak file to systemstore.js like many of the forums suggested, but it gives me a warning telling me that changing the file may make the info unusable and when I try to reopen Firefox there is nothing there. Once, in the past I found a forum that involved pasting a link into the browser and being able to do a system restore in some way to find your old tabs, but I can't find this old post. I just don't know what else to do now.

You can try to restore a previous version of the sessionstore.js file.
