Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

ALV in EDIT-Mode: can't hide the toolbar in edit-mode

Hi,
I have supressed in my ALV all standard-buttons with the help of an it_toolbar_excluding. I have built my own toolbar (p_object->mt_toolbar). Until know everything is fine, the ALV shows only my own generated toolbar.
In that moment, when I change a property of a column in the fieldcatalog ( wa_catalog-edit = 'X' ), both toolbars are shown, the standard toolbar and my own generated buttons.
What's wrong, how can I hide the standard toolbar when I am in the edit mode?

during testing I have recognized, that the buttons in the toolbar are new functions, because of the edit mode.
So I have put all the new button into the excluding list. It worked!

Why does the menu look grayed out? ("File, Edit, View, History" etc) It makes them look like they are not going to work. They don't turn black if I click on them either.

Normally, at least in most Windows programs, and I think other OSes too, items that can be used are black, and items in gray are inactive so that they are not available. It's disconcerting to see the menu in gray, even though they work.

If you use Time Machine to back up your computer, you may be able to recover items after they are deleted permanently from your Mac or iCloud.

Toolbar "File Edit Vieuw History Bookmarks Tools Help" is suddenly 'gone". I have seen that via the Alt-coin this toolbar is shown again. But after closing FF en then again opening the toolbaar is again "gone". How to reach a permanent toolbar ?

After several hours of inactivity, the tabs are blank with noway to tell them apart without clicking on them. also the menu bar is there but the words 'File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help' are blank. also the drop down menus are blank.

The links are there. I can click on them. I'm just can not see what I'm clicking on. The info on the tabs comes back but only when I click on that tab. rebooting every 24 hours fixes the problem temporarily.

While using the firefox browser, "new bookmarks" pop-up is constantly appearing, and interrupting my search. how do i stop this pop-up?

I just installed Firefox 4.0 last night. Uninstalled and re-installed today but still have the same problems as last night. 1) I have toolbars across the top but the rest of the screen is white and empty. 2) I have no address bar. 3) I have no forward or back arrows. 4) I would like to remove undesired icons from toolbars but don't know how.
