I hve lost my MSVCR80.dll and am not able to download itunes again
I have lost my MSVCR80.dll and am not able to open or download itunes. What are my options? I removed itunes thinking that i would start over and i am still encountering the same error message.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Hello, I am not able to download itunes 10.5 on my dell laptop. It says to try to download separately and then install. However, an error message still comes up. Due to this, I am not able to update any applications. I am using windows vista. If I reinstall itunes entirely, will I loose my many playlists that I have? And will this effect the same playlist that I have on my ipod???
Installing, and uninstalling, applications never touches or removes the data.
Clean out and uninstall all the apple programs and software thru Programs and manually.
Might want to use Revo and CCleaner
I always use manual standalone installers (and keep a couple backup versions)
itunes 10.5 may affect iTunes media playlists, not sure, depends on what you have.
A search of these forums will show some threads.
I'd clean up vista, you need SP2 or later, and specific error message?
I wonder as you arenot the first with a dell if maybe the OS or included software.
Security programs like Norton and older versions of Kaspersky have been implicated.
Also settings in IE that affect pop-ups and plug-ins. -
I had some problems with ITunes and had to uninstall but now when I reinstall iTunes after I click on download iTunes and save the File, I get this message"Thank you for downloading iTunes" and nothing else happens. I don't see any thing else. Now not sure what else I have to do.

My old Computer crashed and I lost my old library of recorded CD's and tunes. iTunes says I must delete everything off my iPod in order to add a new CD. It also said I already have an account which I was able to locate. I don't know how to get into my old account. I think that would solve everything. I have Windows XP. I'd appreciate any input.

All iTunes content on your iPod Touch should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only.
When music was purchased on a CD, if the CD was lost and you returned to the store where the CD was purchased with your receipt, were you given a replacement CD?

I am not being allowed access to my Music folder and am not able to open itunes.
when i try to access iTunes, i get a message that the Music folder cannot be found. When i attempt to open the Music folder, i am told that i do not have access permission. i recently had my hard drive replaced and did a restore from Time Machine. Any ideas?
In the Finder, select your Music folder. Hit Command+I which will open "Get Info". Where it says "Sharing & Permissions" it should read :

I have no idea how to download the hours of interviews I did for my dissertation to my MAC from my Ipad that I recorded on QuickVoice Pro -- I only found out the app limits the emailing of audio files to 20MB as I went to download the many longer interviews that I did over the last weeks and months.
I am not very good with computers, but know that there must be a way to download the Ipad IOS6 files on this app to my MAC OS X 10.7.5

facebook app is not opening on my iphone coz there is no update available for my phone (3.1.3) and even i cant download any app from app store due to same reason.
There is no way to fix that unless you upgrade iOS to the latest version. I realize in some cases that can not be done due to the device being used. Sorry.

I just bought a new computer and set it up. Downloaded itunes again and logged in; however, all of my old content is not there. I just created a new playlist and want to sinq it to my phone but get a message saying it will delete all of my old songs. Please help
These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

Who can help me? I want buy apps but that's not possible. I have an account by iTunes and Click and Buy.
But when a want to buy one app then they ask me to make an account for credits. I have the account by Click and Buy.

What to do?Nothing you can do. Apps are locked to the account that purchased them and you have to log into the account to update them.
