I    I have accidentally lost the "book" in iPhoto. Can I still get copies from the book without having to resend the actual photos.  Other photobook companies keep your book on file?

I have done a photobook in iphoto and have had them produced and sent out to me.
I have accidentally lost the "book" in iPhoto so can't reorder more via the usual way.
Does anyone know if the Photo company producing the books keep them on file, that way allowing you to buy more copies without actually resending
in the book and photos.
I usually use MyPublisher and they actually have your book on file and then you can just print them as you wish.
Thanks

Have just found the book and files on the external hard drive.
All good.
Thanks

How can I change the settings on my iPhone 5 so that I get new emails automatically? Without having to open the mail app.
    Thanks!

No, they will all follow the default setting. If you want them all to fetch, for example every 15 minutes, then set it to 15 minutes in Fetch. I only mentioned the other if you wanted to leave one for manual. I have an account on my phone that is a POP account that I get mail at home from. I let my home computer get this mail, but when I am out of town, I pick it up with the iPhone. That one is set to manual.

How do I delete a song from my ipod without having to delete the entire album or artist?

Open the music app and select the Songs view. Swipe your finger to the right along any song and then press the red Delete button that appears.
You can also delete individual songs in iTunes by selecting a single song and pressing Delete on your keyboard.

In order to get my emails I have to refresh the page once I click on the mail folder.
How do I get them to show up automatically on my lock screen and in notifications, I do have them checked to do that but they don't appear.

Go to Settings>Mail, Calendars, Contacts, then choose push in the primary window and in each email account's window.

  • Not the right Leopard DVD - can I still get the drivers installed?

My cousin just got a Macbook Pro 15 and I am helping her get Boot Camp/Windows up and running. She came from out of town and did not get her Leopard DVD and I realized the hard way that the DVD that I have (from my mac mini purchase 6 months ago) does not install the drivers for most of the peripherals.
Is there a way out for me or do I have to remotely help her after she gets back to her home?

    Lyssa wrote:
If she just purchased this computer brand-new from Apple, then yes, you'll have to help her remotely, if she needs anything. The only place her drivers can be found is on the disc that came with her computer.
You can get Windows installed for her and make sure she knows how to boot between the two OS's, of course. And installing the drivers is very easy--all she has to do is be booted in Windows and pop in that DVD.

Thanks for the response. Yes, she purchased it 3 days back. I have installed Windows already and I actually wanted to set her up with Parallels as well and I did not want to do it till I have Windows XP patched up and for that I need Boot Camp to be updated to the latest version first
Oh well, this is going to be a good test of my remote help skills

  • I recently updated to FF 9.0.1. I am on a macbook running lion. Since the update, I can no longer type just mozilla or cnn without having to type the whole address. How do I fix this?

I was able to fix this issue on the last update of FF in the console of FF. Now I am unable to find the command that allows the browser to automatically find the address I am looking for. I know it is not "Autofill". What happens is, I type just "mozilla" or "cnn" and it takes me to my isp's search. Instead of taking me to the most likely site.
Here is where it takes me - http://dnssearch.rr.com/index.php?origURL=http%3A//mozilla/&r=
    Can anyone help?

That "fix" may not work completely or all the time. Road Runner has been re-directing failed DNS requests for almost 3 years now.
http://slashdot.org/story/08/02/26/1741253/roadrunner-intercepting-domain-typos <br /> There's a hyperlink in that article about setting a pref with RR to opt-out of that "service".

  • Can I transfer digital copies from one iTunes ID to another in the same household?

Within our family there are only two itunes accounts; mine and my wife's. Somehow we've managed to get some movies imported via digital copy redemption on her account instead of mine, the problem with this is the need to switch between user accounts all the time to see the whole movie library. Is there any way for us to transfer the movies from her account to mine- so they are all listed under the same user account? My thoughts are something like a homeshare for our music, where her purchases and mine both compile our collective library.
    Anyone have any feedback?
    thank you

You can "transfer" the files, but you'll probably have troubles playing them under the other ID. DRM is particular that way, and all downloaded movies have DRM.

  • HT5622 When I bought my iphonE AT VERIZON STORE AND GOT INSURANCE I THOUGHT i WAS GETTING THE APPLE INSURANCE.  CAN i STILL GET IT?

WHEN I GOT MY IPHONE I MADE A MISTAKE WHICH MY SON HELPED ME WITH.  BUT I CLOBBERED THE NAME
I WANTED FOR STORING ICOULD INFO.  CAN THAT BE FIXED?

Apple Care+ extends phone support to two years, extends the warranty to two years and gives you two incidents of replacing a damaged phone for $49.99 (over the counter replacments). The TEC (Total Equipment Coverage) through Verizon (the actualy insurer is Asurion) does nothing for the phone support, extends the warranty for as long as you keep the phone (free overnight shipping for replacments) and gives you two incidents of replacing a lost OR stolen phone. The deductible varies based on the capacity of the phone. Apple Care+ is a one time fee, TEC is a montly fee of, I believe, $9.99. So, there are pluses and minuses.
Regardless of which you get, you can always get tech support at an Apple store.

So basically you are saying you have a New Computer and you do not have access to your Old Computer and you did not Create and Maintain a Backup of iTunes... Correct.?
And you want to Sync your iPhone to the New Computer... and your New Computer is Authorised...?

  • If I have a Mac Mini ( no Disk Drive ) Can I Still Use Boot Camp ?

Hi, I have a ma mini... but i have came to a conclusion that I have no disk drive... so can i still use bootcamp ? I was wondering because all of the tutorials I watch, they tell me to insert my disk into the disk drive.
    -Thanks for The Help

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
If you have a Mac mini without a built-in SuperDrive, you have two ways to install Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp:
    - If you have Windows in a ISO file > open Boot Camp Assistant, tick the option to create a Windows installation USB drive and follow the steps.
    - If you have Windows in a DVD > buy an external optical drive, connect it to your computer, open Boot Camp Assistant and follow the steps to install Windows.
Don't forget to download Windows support software, and install it just after finishing the Windows installation.
If you need help installing Windows, print this file > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.7.pdf

  • Can I still get the free upgrade to WIndows 7 that Lenovo offered when I purchased?

I purchased in July 2010 (so my warranty ran out in July 2011) and had to get Windows XP Pro because we were running an application that would not yet run Windows 7.  They have finally worked it out, and I'm ready to move to 7 - can I still get this from Lenovo?  Was it by any chance loaded on this machine (SL410 - 2842-GCU) for me to upgrade?  Thanks for any advice.
    Matt

I tried to find the system specs from the model number you gave, there seems to be a typo error. You can check here if yours came with Win7 and order it from lenovo for a nominal fee

  • Access schema objects without having to specify the user.

I've just created a role in a schema and assigned some priveleges. Then I created a user and granted the role to it. But as the newly created user is not the owner of the schema when I say a simle select query like this:
    SELECT EMLOYEENAME FROM EMPLOYEES
I get "table or view does not exist" error. Is there a way I can wirte refer to objects in this schema without having to indicate the owner. So instead of writing SCOT.EMPLOYEES I want to write just EMPLOYEES.

Create a public synonym for the object.
CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM EMP32 FOR SCOTT.EMP;Then you do not need to specify the schema.

    CREATE SYNONYM Purpose
Use the CREATE SYNONYM statement to create a synonym, which is an alternative name for a table, view, sequence, operator, procedure, stored function, package, materialized view, Java class schema object, user-defined object type, or another synonym. A synonym places a dependency on its target object and becomes invalid if the target object is changed or dropped.

    Question?
I have accidentally deleted a large number of develped images in Lightroom before I did a backup. I reimported the original raw files back into Lightroom hoping the develop settings would be re-established but no luck. Notice system mau have done an auto-backup as have an lrcat-journal file. Can I use this to restore my develop settings. I also have jpgs generated from all the deleted images.

    Hello,
if you have a backup of your catalog you can do the following:
    1. Backup your catalog first
    2. Restore your backup catalog to some location
    3. Open your current catalog and select "files->import from another catalog".
    4. Select your backup catalog and your lost images. LR ask you if you want to overwrite the current settings or save them as a virtual copy.
As an alternativ you can open your backup catalog, select the "lost" images and save the development settings as xmp sidecar fiels (using ctrl-s). Then open your current catalog, seletct the images and use "Metadata->Read Metadata from files".
