I imported M2T into CS4 Premier Pro on Mac OSX Snow Leopard does not play

I imported several M2T files into CS4 Premier Pro on Mac OSX Snow Leopard, the files import just fine and when I double click on them, I see the video in the preview panel. However when I hit play, nothing happens. It does not play, just sits on the first frame. Even when I drop it into the timeline, same thing happens. Does not play but if I export what I put into the timeline, the video exported is fine. So I can't edit it, because I cant see where to put edit points. I really need help, need to get this project done asap.

I have fixed this problem myself by searching the forum with argument "playback" "playback_issue". This a known problem. Go to link for a solution http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/playback-stops-loops-soundbooth-premiere.html
Thanks to myself.

  • Play back issue using premier pro on mac book (snow leopard)

I have installed Adobe creative suite 5.5 on mac pro (snow leopard). I have attempted to playback my edited video and it does not work. I have read the faqs and followed what ever instructions I have found from the forum postings. I have reinstalled the product and repaired administator permissions. Can anyone assist me in resolving this issue urgently. Thank you Michael.

  • Can I insert a memory card into my Macbook Pro?  I tried, and it does not go in on its own, I don't want to force it and get it stuck!! Help!

Can I insert a memory card into my Macbook Pro?  I tried, and it does not go in on its own, I don't want to force it and get it stuck!! Help!

Maybe the wrong port or the wrong kind of memory card? You didn't say what version/year of Macbook Pro you have. Below is a photo of the newest one.
Red oval = USB port. It is to the left of the headphone jack.
Blue oval = SDXC card port. Is your card an SDXC card?
What are your options for transferring data to the picture frame?  The manual should say.

  • When I am re-installing the Mac OSX snow leopard onto an older Mac I run into the window that says select the disk where you want to install Mac OSX but nothing is there to select

I am trying to re-install the Mac OSX snow leopard onto an older I mac with a new hard drive.  I run into the "select the disk "where you want to install Mac OSX but there is nothing in the window to select. Any advice?

After you install a new hard drive, you need to boot to another drive to initialize it to MAC OS Extended (journaled) format and create the partition(s) on the drive. You do this using Disk Utility. Otherwise, the mac operating install process doesn't see a formatted disk to install to.

  • Mac OSX 10.8 does not recognize HP LaserJet Pro M1213nf MFP

This is probably an obsolete system support problem.
This LaserJet Pro M1213nf is an old product from HP that I just recently (~3 months) purchased from a vendor as new. The MFP system is flawless and except for the occasional scanner tilt in grabbing the sheet from the automatic document feeder, works perfectly.
Unfortunately, when I bought it, I used an old Macbook with Snow Leopard to test it. Worked beautifully. I recently purchased a new Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion, and it does not work with that. This Macbook is going to be my primary system from now on.
Googling this problem has convinced me that neither HP nor Apple intend to support this, at least not anytime soon. Updating drivers from the store has not helped. In fact, each time it has happened, I have had to uninstall the new driver, and install the old Lion version of the drivers (see below).
    Current status:
    1. It prints without a problem. It copies too, but I don't really use that a lot.
    2. It scans but only with the HP Scan application bundled with the Lion version of the driver. (which was the last major version where this was supported)
    3. Image Capture, Preview, etc. do not work with this and the OS does not even recognize the scanner.
I installed sane-backends to work around the problem but I have not really invested a great deal of time into it and that did not help.
My question is - how do I hack it to work with my Mountain Lion install natively? I use Linux regularly, and have absolutely no issues compiling software, tinkering with things, using open source software, etc. My understanding is that Mountain Lion has changed the interface for scanners and that new interface is not available for older scanners.
Why do I need this to work? Well, I scan a lot of documents and there are some AppleScripts I want to use to do some standard post scan processing to reduce PDF size. The native HP scan application that comes with the drivers is an irritating piece of crap that wastes my time everytime I need to do something.
And I am not going to throw out a perfectly good MFP just because Apple and HP want to generate some undeserved profits off me. Good hardware always trumps artificial commercial software choices for this engineer.

Just saw your reply. I am not sure what you are suggesting.
I have the following in my Mac Harddrive/Library/Image Capture/Devices folder:
    Canon IJScanner2
    Canon IJScanner4
    EPSON Scanner
    HP M1130_M1210 Scanner
However, the icon for the last mentioned is different. It does not have the Image Capture icon. It simply has the generic application icon (two white papers with an "A" formed out of a ruler, a pencil and a brush). I doubt that the icon makes a difference, but it is what I observe.
The permissions for the first three and the last are identical.
The file sizes for all the files are in the same size range (except for EPSON, which is much bigger).
I should reiterate that I am using the Lion version drivers on Mavericks (just upgraded from Mountain Lion yesterday). Those are the newest drivers for this MFP.

  • How do I swap screens on the fly on a 8 core Mac Pro Westmere running OSX Snow Leopard?

I'm running two displays a 23" Apple HD display and a 37" sharp LCD. I'm running various audio apps with multiple screens, two main screens (mixer and edit) I usually run the mixer window on the large display and the edit window on the 23"  however I need to go from one to the other which is actually very easy with one easy key command (on pro tools anyway) when running one display. WHat I want to do is have the windows swap displays with one key command. Is this possible and if so is it possible regardless of the app running?
    Thanks for your advise.

The heuristic for multiple displays is that you create one continuous "Extended desktop". You can freely drag and drop windows in any position on that Extended desktop, including straddling displays, and the parts on each disply will be updated in a sensible fashion.
The notion that these might be discrete displays has been almost completely eliminated, so Mac OS X simply "does not get it" that you might somehow want windows to hop around to different places on this one Extended desktop that has been created.
I suggest you should drag the window to where you want them. If where you want them changes, drag the windows to different places.
Alternatively, you can drag the display positions relative to each other in the arrange pane, but I expect the results will not be useful.
You can change which display holds the MenuBar, by dragging the tiny image of the MenuBar from one display image to the other in the Arrange pane.

  • Importing audio tracks issue (Logic Pro 8.0.2 - Snow Leopard 10.6.0)

This is a strange one that i've only just noticed since installing Snow Leopard:
In Logic when looking for audio tracks via the media browser, I select a file and drag and drop it into a project. The file plays back in the project as expected, but...
A copy of the file is then placed in the location where i've just dragged the file from???
    For example:
I navigate to a track within an album in my iTunes folder (stored on an external drive) and drag the track into an open Logic project. Once imported there is a duplicate of the imported file placed within the album folder. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the behaviour before upgrading.
There are a few weird things happening with this:
If I import a .mp3 file, a .aif file is placed within the album.
If I import a .m4a file, a .ovw file is placed within the album.
Sometimes it shows the copy of the track in the browser and sometimes it doesn't. If I navigate to the album location in finder there is a copy of the file located within the album folder.
    Anyone else experiencing this?
    Bryan

Cheers Bee Bee, school boy error on my behalf!
I was chopping up a few tracks to put on the mrs phone as ringtones and hadn't actually saved the session which would explain why a copy would have been put in the original location seen as there was nowhere else for it to go.

  • How do i expoert files from Outlook and import them into iphone? operate with Mac OSx at home and trying to convert contacts and calendars from work and carrying on iphone. txs

How do I export calendar and contact files in Outlook and import them into iphone 4. I operate Mac OS X at home and wish to carry my work information with me on my iPhone.

    You do not export anything.
Instead, sync the content from Outlook to your device via iTunes.
Try reading the manual, it's included on the device or here.

  • Cannot install Mac OSX Snow Leopard on Macbook Pro Unibody with a new SSD

Hi, I just bought a SSD (OCZ Vertex LE 120GB) to replace the stock SATA HDD. The problem is that the Mac OSX installation fails. I tried a lot of times with no success. Both clean install from DVD or restoration from a Time Machine backup fails.
The problem doesn't happen if I put the same SSD into a PC to install a Linux or Windows. I've read something saying the problem to be at EFI 1.7, SATA bus and even SATA cable in the Macbook Pro. Can anyone help in this issue?

    IgorOzz wrote:
Hi OrangeMarlin, thanks for answering and trying to help me in this issue. Well, The SDD is well formated by Disk Utility and GUID partition as well. I tried to clone my HDD to the SDD by using the Disk Utility RESTORE option. By doing this I could boot up from SDD but somethings didn't work well (iPhone crashed at every start), Finder sometimes, and other apps...
Maybe the disk utility restore option isn't the best way to do that. I'm gonna try the following steps:
    - Carbon Copy to clone my HDD to SDD;
    - Update SDD FW to the last one (but I need to install it on a Windows machine first);
    - Downgrade EFI FW back to 1.6 (not sure if I'll proceed to this step).
I was thinking about SATA bus and cables because I've read some issues pinpointing to this as the culprit, since the Macbook's SATA wouldn't be able to handle 3Gbps SATA II speeds.
Now, a little question: Why you say to be not recommended to install the new drive internally? What if, after using the SSD or HDD for a while and the system crashes I need to reinstall Mac OSX? I think it's supposed to be installed from the scratch by the DVD installer. Isn't it?
Again, thanks... and waiting more replies...
Do one step at a time, and I highly recommend not "downgrading" the EFI. The unintended consequences might make you throw your MBP out the window.
Yes, use Carbon Copy Clone. Then try to boot from the cloned drive. Hold Option at startup, and it will give you a choice.
If it works, then put it in your MBP. If it doesn't boot, then go to step two, repeat clone, and try again.
My 2010 MBP runs at 3Gbps. I think prior to the 2010 models, Apple had not qualified any drives, other than the ones they put in the MBP's, that could work with 3Gbps drives. You may have one that doesn't.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 wireless print option with Mac OSX Snow Leopard?

Hi My 'old' 8600 printer died and I purchased a new one. I did not set up wireless communication with the old printer but am interested in doing so with this new one, or at least having that option.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.8  Snow Leopard. The installation CD that came with the new printer says it's for OS X v10.6, Lion or Mountain Lion. Is it compatible with my system?
    Thanks!

Hello KelliMK, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are looking into compatibility information.  The Officejet Pro 8600 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.  The software disc should allow the full install without issue.
As for the wireless setup, I would recommend following this document on HP Officejet Pro 8600 All-in-One Printer Series - Installing the Printer Software on a Wireless or W...

  • Importing music into cs4 trouble

everytime i try to import musci into cs4 premiere pro to play as audio i get the file is not supported so it wont import...the music i have has no copyright stuff its what u buy and can use for whatever you want.  What am i doing wrong?  each time it says E:\Track01.cda is not supported

    Wayne,
    Welcome to the forum.
Can you give us the full specs. of that/those music file(s)? That will very likely hold the key.
Also, one can convert many formats of Audio to PCM/WAV 48KHz 16-bit with Soundbooth, Audition, or the great, free audio-editor, Audacity. Just do a Save_As, or an Export (differs by program), and choose PCM/WAV (Uncompressed) 48KHz 16-bit, and Import that WAV file into PrPro. It will work perfectly, just as Peru Bob indicates. As there might be issues with the original file format, knowing that will allow someone to be very specific about what you do.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

    Hi Kevin!
    Thanks for your response.
The codec is actually MPEG-2  -- so it's not a ProRes codec.
    Other information:
    HDV1080i60; 29.97 fps; 48Hz, 1440x1080 resolution
    Any ideas for us?
Thanks for responding so quickly ~

    Hi Jessica,
    That is a stickier case.
You can purchase the Calibrated {Q} plug-in to fill that gap. It might be wise to contact them and see if you can get an educational or volume discount.
The no-cost solution is a bit more labor intensive: transcode the footage to a friendlier codec prior via the FCP Media Manager prior to the students leaving the program.

  • Cannot import sequences from Adobe Premier Pro CC

The import of a PP CC project does not work. I cannot import sequences from Premiere Pro CC : the dynamic link start but nothing occurs.
I hope that I shall have not to rebuilt my project with Premiere Pro CS 6.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi,
Many thanks for your very quick reply.
My english is not very good, but if I understood, I must :
    - import sequences within AME CS6,
    - encode or convert the sequences inside AME,
    - import the result inside AE,
    - transcode within AE then finish the disc or the job.
    Am I right ?
