I inadvertently placed an SD card in the DVD drive on my Imac. Any suggestions on getting it out?

The start chapter button is a play the whole movie button regardless of how many other markers you have.
Once a DVD starts playing it continues to the end.
Chapters marker simply gives the viewer a place to start playback whether it be the start, middle or near the end.

Can you please advise me and or let me know if I’m buying the right stuff or if there is any other blu ray that will work with the I mac as plug and play.

This freezing reminds me of really old Macs, long ago, in the days of the old-school peripherals like SCSI drives, terminators, scanners and the like. If you had a SCSI conflict, like the wrong device ID's or something, you'd freeze up like that. Back in those days you'd call 800-SOS-APPLE (AAPL?) and they'd run you through disconnecting all your extra hardware - Jaz and Zip drives, CD burners, scanners etc and then eliminate them one by one by adding them incrementally and testing for the freeze/bomb dialog.
But, today we have Firewire and none of those ancient issues (no free lifetime tech support either). My iMac's ports are all full, and I only know which devices are connected when I have to remove something for another device. iSight, scanner, card reader, external hard drive, USB soundsticks, etc. You wouldn't happen to have any SCSI devices hooked up, would you?
Out of curiosity, have you tried a different USB/Firewire port for the hard drive? Or run the hardware test DVD that comes with your computer? This weird freezing seems to suggest a problem with the computer, RAM or network more than a device. Bad devices, in my experience, cause kernel panics, not freezing.

Yes, the printer is on, it’s selected in Printer Set-Up & I’ve never had this problem before. It’s definitely a Photoshop issue as every other type of file prints fine. I’ve uninstalled Pshop & am now reinstalling. Hope that will do the trick.

If the Mac came w/system DVDs, you will need to obtain them prior to selling.
You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.

I need to set a value to a LOV, say ItemLOV in a page through CO and get the Primaykey that LOV will return. How can I achieve this?
Req:
1. Set the Item_Name, say 'DELL_1618' so that the page displays this in the LOV.
2. Fetch the PK value returned by LOV in the backend into a VO attribute say Item_ID, '100009881'.

Sorry, I replied for General LOV Scenario, but want to set it programatically right,
You need to execute your LOV query in Controller for Item 'DELL_1618' using prepared statement, get the value for both dispaly value and Id and set it to LOV and FormVlaue Item in PR of controller.

I am having the same issue. And today, I noticed that when I was talking on the phone, the volume went down low. I had to reboot the phone, so that the volume was up again. Mostly, though, it's my music that I am having issues with.

Going to Canada for the summer, can I unlock my iphone 5 and get a prepaid card in Canada?

I'll be going to North Vancouver, BC this summer (in a few days actually) and am trying to figure out what to do about my phone. I plan on suspending my line with AT&T for the time being. Anyway, if I unlock my phone what features will I have, for example, will imessage work while I'm connected to wifi? Any carrier suggestions?

FIRST you must get AT&T to unlock your phone. They will only do this if you have paid off your contract or paid full price for the phone. Then you need to find a PAYG carrier in Canada. Last time I checked I couldn't find one. iMessage will work over WiFi whether the phone is locked or unlocked. You might want to just keep AT&T and add an international data plan: http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/international/roaming/affordable-world-package s.jsp#data.

I'm not sure about your question, it's seems somewhat unclear, but if the above command doesn't work another you can try is using the diskutil command as follows:
"diskutil list"
or
"df -h"
(without "" quotes)
find where the cd is (usually /dev/disk1 but not always depending on what else you have pluged in)
then simply use the 'diskutil' command with the 'eject' argument specifying the device found from the previous command '/dev/disk1'(or what ever your optical is labeled as).
If this isn't your question, I have a macbook unibody late 2009 model and the strangest thing happends, If I downgrade to 10.6.1 my optical drive works fine anything 10.6.8 and above ejects my disk immediately, I have also tested my optical drive out on other OS's such as various linux distro's. Therefore I have come to the conclusion its a bug. - just food for thought. Hope some of this helps

Upgraded my iPad to v 5.0.1 and can find no way to add an event to iCal. There are no longer any " " signs and tapping on the calendar doesn't do anything except turn the page. Any suggestions? It worked fine before the upgrade.

iCal was working fine before upgrading to v. 5.0.1 on my iPad. All the events from my iCloud account have disappeared and I cannot find a way to add a new event. No "+" sign, tapping doesn't work. I've tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions?

Go to iPad>Settings>iCloud, and turn Calendars "Off." Then after waiting a couple of minutes turn Calendars back "On."
