I installed certain programs with IE 8,9. Now what happens to them?

I tried to uninstall Internet Explorer and Windows 7 said that certain programs I installed with it. So the question is now what do I do? These programs include my printer, router, graphics card, sound card, and some other software items.

In computer terms, memory refers to RAM. How much RAM do you have? You have sufficient free/available space on your hard drive.
Do you have the retail version of Panther (black with silver X CDs)?
How did you back up your files? Did you use an application? Is OS 9.2.2 installed on the same hard drive as OS X? If you cloned the drive, your OS 9 files/system will also be on your backup. Are OS 9 & OS X on the same hard drive, or separate partitions?
Some Macs with OS 9 & OS X installed can boot to either system. Also, when you are booted into OS X, if you open an OS 9 application, that's what is known as operation in "classic" mode.
You shouldn't lose any files if you use the Archive & Install method to install Panther. However, you may find that some Jaguar applications may not open. So you may have to download a newer version or an update to your current version.
Firefox shouldn't be affected. Don't know about AOL.
After you install the basic 10.3 Panther, you'll need to update to 10.3.9 using Apple's free update at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2464
Look at these Apple documents before you do the install.

Is the Adobe CD a MAC app ?
If it is a program for Windows you will not be able to install it.
If you nedd that program you can either buy the equivalent for Mac or install a way to run Windows under Mac (may be a cheaper solution)

How can I find the serial number of the trial version?

What program, and did you buy the UPGRADE version, or the FULL version?
Your description indicates that you bought an upgrade version... which requires proof of a previous version to install
So, if you had A and you bought A+ you need to provide your A serial number during install so A+ knows you are legal

Help! I just installed the latest update on my IPhone 4 and now I can't access my podcasts. When I hit the podcast I on, the screen goes blank for a second and then opens to the home screen with all my icons. What happened?

Try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously you see the Apple logo and then release.

i have edited a program of 1hour? Then now what should i do among settings & Bitrates? and i should get a best quality

The default bit rates for HD material going to DVD are 7.7 Mbps average bit rate amd 9.0 Mbps maximum. Do a short test of a section of your movie to see whether your player has trouble playing the disk at those rates. If it does, dial them back to 6.8 and 8.0 respectively, It's unlikely any quality difference will be detectable.

  • My recently purchase iMac came with pre-installed operating software but no backup disks. What happens if I find it necessary to re-install?

Having ditched Windows after years of frustration I recently bought an iMac with Lion pre-installed. While not necessary at this tme there were no installation disks sent with the purchase. What happens should I find it necessary to reinstall the operating system?

No. You do NOT have to buy Lion again.
If you replace your HDD or erase the recovery partion, it will download and install lion from Apple' servers.
    See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
    Quoute:
If you happen to encounter a situation in which you cannot start from the Recovery HD, such as your hard drive stopped responding or you installed a new hard drive without Mac OS X installed, new Mac models introduced after public availability of OS X Lion automatically use the Lion Internet Recovery feature if the Recovery HD (Command-R method above) doesn't work. Lion Internet Recovery lets you start your Mac directly from Apple's Servers. The system runs a quick test of your memory and hard drive to ensure there are no hardware issues.

Thanks for reporting what worked for you with regard to your Premiere Elements 9 issue. Your results will be helpful to all those who find themselves in the same situation that you encountered. It is good that the suggestion worked for you also since often problems with the same symptoms can (often do) have different causes and fixes.
Best wishes as you move forward with your Premiere Elements projects.

  • Os x remote install freezes on Macbook Air (June 2009); now what?

I'm trying to remote install and erase my disk so that I can get this Macbook Air restored to factory settings, but it's stalled and frozen 1/4 of the way with the rainbow wheel running on the Macbook Air to be restored.  I don't want to quit and ruin the machine, what do I do?

Found a good guide for your requirement.

  • I've replaced my optical drive with an SSD drive, now what?

So now I have a formatted 60GB SSD inside my iMac in the optical drive space, alongside my existing 1.5TB spinning drive which holds the Lion OS.
What would be the best way to proceed? Should I . . .
Load up the Lion thumbdrive and install Lion on the SSD (ignoring for now the Lion OS on the 1.5TB drive) and then import all settings from the old drive to the new one?
I want all system and all applications to be loaded on the SSD drive and the remaining space I plan to use for editing purposes, such as movies, photos etc. Load them onto the fast drive for editing then off onto the spinning drive for archiving and later re-editing and use.
So once I have a new OS installed on the new drive, what do I delete off of the old drive to get rid of the operating system there without losing any data?
Just the System folder or the System and Library folders? What about the User folder? It's huge obviously, so I clearly can't bring that in, but are there parts of it that should be on the SSD?
I'm also running Parallels, so should I drag _that_ applications folder over as well, _out_ of the Users folder? How about the Virtual Machines, the Windows.PVM and Linux.Pvm virtual machines?
Instead of installing Lion, maybe I should drag the appropriate folders over?
I'm sure it's going to be a mix of these, but not sure what the optimal mix is.
    Thanks,.

  • I updated my windows 7 and when I did I received a message that firefox is not compatible with windows 7 updates. What happened?

I got a message to update windows. I updated. My computer said firefox was not compatible with update. I then tried to purchase Avast and it basically crashed my computer. I had help in restoring and when system was checked it showed two different firefox downloads that had not succeeded because they were incompatible with my system. I don't know enough about computers to understand what happened. I have a Dell Studio xps with Windows 7. Thank you.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com
