I installed FF RC 4 - lost my addons so system restored to get FF 3.16 back. FF wouldn't work.

Even clicking directly on Firefox.exe didn't work. I get a busy icn for 1 second then nothing at all. I then system restored back to Firefox 4RC and then that didn't work.

I avoid system restore, it can cause problems as well as solve them.
It may have mucked up the Firefox installation directory. Delete all files and folders from the Firefox installation directory, default location on 64 bit Windows is Firefox C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\
Download a new copy of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com and install it.
Go to your profile folder and delete the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

All versions of Photoshop get their fonts from your OS. Just install any missing font wherever Windows keeps fonts.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

I just tried to delete the new itunes (Hate it & could figure out how to sync iphone any more), and I reverted back to itunes 10.7 64-bit. When I tried to use itunes, it couldnt read the library because it had been created by the newer version (why it didn't get deleted when I removed itunes I do not know), so I deleted a few itune library files that I found still on my computer. This is what you should have done...
To roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the installer from here, uninstall iTunes and suppporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

Iphone calendar lost history entries. How do you get your past history back?

I have recently looked to see history in my calendar on my Iphone4 and Ipodtouch and my entries for up to 2 years ago are no longer there. Does anyone know how to retrieve these entries? How long the phones keep the history?....or if you can set the calendar to always keep entries?

On my Iphone4 when I got to "Settings" - 'Mail,Contacts,Calendars' - I scroll to 'Calendars'. The only options under Calendars is - new invitation alerts - time zone support - default alerts - default calendar - There is no 'Sync' option.
Unfortunately, I believe that all of my entries were removed when I installed Icloud, which I no longer use. Perhaps I need to turn icloud back on and reset it to all events and then turn I clouds off again?

I am trying to re-install Adobe X Pro on the same computer after I had to do an entire restore of my computer. I downloaded the file, but when I go to set-up, it says that I don't have the system requirements. When firefox last updated, it would no longer open. I have tried several times to do clean install. Removed folders, emoved registry files associated with firefox. I did a system restore, which seemed worse. Now back to original problem. This error mess

After uninstalling program, I have also deleted all folders in program flolder associated with mozilla firefox; However the last time none had been put there. Also went into registry and deleted firefox named files. Now just going in circles.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

How do I get application manager to install products after a system restore removed them?

I had some issues starting the computer and had to use system restore to get it runnng.
But that meant that all the applications I installed using creative cloud were gone.
When I started the Application Manger, It read that all the applications that I had installed were still installed.
I don't know how to reset anything to reinstall what I lost. As you can see I says the installed programs are up to date. But they are not on the hard drive.
If anyone can help, thank you very much. Or I wait till they open tomorrow. Barry

i did a Forum search upon AAM issues and came here.
My system and all installed CS6 Applications are running smoothly, just AAM shows some odd behaviour
Most needed applications are installed, but under the "All" Tab, AAM shows "install" on the right, see my screenshot below.
Contrary to that what is seen on the screenshot up there from user "Bar".
under "Updates" it shows all up to date (see screenshot below)
This way, I'm cannot be sure if AAM works correctly or not.
So i have followed your suggested advice and cleaned everythig up, downloaded and installed everything again, ugh!, but problem still persitis.
Usually it should show up which Applications are alredy installed, respectively are up to date and which application are still not installed.
Is there a known issue with AAM?

The installation begins to go smoothly from the setup.exe file; but after the installation seems complete, and I press the 'Open Firefox' button the firefox programme can be seen to start opening because it accumulates about 50mb of private bytes RAM on the windows task manager or on the 'process explorer' utility program by sysinternals. '''However the firefox screen/window never opens up and so firefox does not seem to be properly installed.'''' Also I have had problems with getting the Scrapbook" addon to install properly. About the Scrapbook add-on, I could get it to work. It has no icon when docked to the toolbar, but you can anyway open it. Right-click a button on the toolbar, click Customize... find the Scrapbook icon, drag it to the bookmarks bar so you can see the icon and click on it to open it. Whenever you need to save a page, right-click that page and choose Save page.

Deselect the box next to Photo Stream then reselect it.
Now for your music. Launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click iTunes > Preferences then select the Store tab.
Select: Music. (and Apps and Books) if you want.
Click OK.
iCloud syncs via your Wi-Fi network so give it a minute or two to reset your photos and music.
Slow internet ... try turning off the modem for a few minutes, then turn it back on.

Can't install AMD driver properly lost all CCC options and 3D

Hi everyone,
I have HP pavilion g6 , win 7 64 bit. Amd Radeon HD 7400M series and Intel HD graphics.
My problem started when my screen was getting black for seconds alot and when it comes back it said amd stopped so I decided to update the driver.
First I downloaded the supported driver from the site

but every time I try installing it the install process run very quickly the screen doesn't even switch during installtion and it says driver is successfully installed although nothing was installed and nothing absolutely change.
so I decided to download the latest amd driver from amd site14.4. I had some problems while installing but it worked fine and I had all the options including the switchable graphics. But after a while the laptop started to hang on startup showing a blue screen saying something was incompatible.
So I tried to update the driver from device manager and since then I lost all catalyst control center options also the switchable graphics mode and 3D in photoshop isn't working anymore and every time I close the catalyst a message come saying it stopped working. I tried many times to uninstall the driver then installing a new versin 14.9, the prvious 14.4, the supported but still nothing of them worked at all, also I tried installing with win 7 compatibility but it always gets stuck. Sorry for elongation but I'm so tired of this problem. I really appreciate any help.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue HP Pavilion g6-1045sx Notebook and issues with graphic software. Here is the drivers for your device. I would uninstall both and restart the computer, then reinstall only the AMD. It will include the Amd Graphics Driver and Catalyst Control Center restart the computer.
The Intel will automatically install.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues.
