I installed ios6 on my ipad2 yday, now its rebooting continously
I installed ios6 on my ipad2 yesterday and today it has gone into a continous reboot cycle.
Only the apple sign shows, screen goes blank and then apple sign re-appears.
I tried restoring from itunes but it says cannot. need help please
Did you try forcing iPad into Recovery Mode?
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times.

I Installed ios6 on my iPad and now all my calendar items are gone. I tried deleting my email account and adding it back in but still no calendar items
I had the same problem on my iphone 4s and before I had realized it my phone synced up with my computer and deleted all the appointments in my outlook calendar as well. I run microsoft exchange and unfortunately my ISP doesnt backup for me so I am left reconstructing my calendar from scratch. Apple support said they had no idea why this had happened and couldnt help me. Not very reassuring.

I tried to partition him using bootcamp but didn't have mac os cd neither mac instalation. the problem i am dealing now its that i cant go back to OS partition since its not appeared when i restart c and no win drivers to have a properly running system. I've thought as an option to re-download boot-camp and run the instalation from windows partition and see if i can repair it that way, didnt try yet thought just in case anyone has a better prposition or dealed with the same problem
Take it to your local Apple Store or AASP, it's covered by a 1 year hardware warranty. If you have AppleCare then give them a call but I'm pretty sure they will advise the same. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet please do, this will extend the warranty to 3 years however it MUST be purchased within the first year of ownership. Let it go 366 days and you are out of luck. AppleCare will also include telephone support too.
Good luck. -
Since installing iOS6 on my recently purchased iPad2 the connection is being bounced off the wireless all the time after a fw seconds. What can I do?
Try #5.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Why can't i install ios6 in my ipad2?
Why can't i install ios6.1.3 in my ipad2?
What iOS version are you currently running?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you are updating using wifi, locate your iPad close to your router so you don't get a wifi dropout (can cause update corruption).

I was downloding ios 6 on my i phone 4 its not working i cant call out or use my phone.
If your iTunes is the latest version, restart your computer and reboot your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPhone restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Slow wireless on iPad2 after installing iOS6?
Ever since installing iOS6 on my iPad2 I am experiencing a slow wireless connect time. Both my wife and I have an iPad2 and have both seen the connect time slow down. Pinterest is one of my wife's most used apps and it is really slow. I have read that this appears to be an issue others are having as we'll. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I installed ios6 on my ipad and now cannot get my previously downloaded Kindle books. The error message says to remove them
from the ipad and then redownload but they want uninstall.Well this was my first time using the support communities app on the web so when I tried to get the answer there were literally 1000's of post and I was not sure which one pertained to me and my iPhone issue. hi there i have an iphone 4 i think it started installing ios6 and did not complete and now my phone refuses to restart it just keeps on rebooting
Try forcing the phone into recovery mode. Disable ALL anti-virus & firewalls first.
Turn your phone off, then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option of restoring from backup or as a new device.
