I installed itunes 11.4 and it said it was installed but my old itunes is still showing, how do I receive the new itunes?
My computer is the Mac OS X Version 10.6.8 and I am unable to install the new iTunes 11.4. After I installed it, it said that once I restarted my computer, the new iTunes would be there. I restarted my computer and it is still the old version of iTunes and I cannot find the new version in the applications folder of my hard drive. How do I get the new iTunes update?

Installed Flash and it said it was successful but it doesn't work?
I installed the Flash Player and it said it was successful, but when i went to use it the page that says "you need flash to view this content" came up. So, i uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, but the same thing happened. Then I checked the preferences on safari and made sure javascript and plugins were enabled (I tried to enable java too but i couldnt find it on the preference menu). This didnt help and it still gave me the same message. Then, i went to the adobe website and they had a button that checked to see if flash was installed on your computer and when I clicked it, it said i didnt, but it was installed. I have tried pretty much everything and have read all the forums and nothing seems to be working.
The computer I have is a MacBook pro, version 10.9 and safari is version 7.

I bought yesterday online an Iphone from apple store Canada (http://store.apple.com/ca/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone/iphone4s) and there said that was Unlocked but on my email came a message " IPHONE 4S BLACK 16GB GSM- CAN". Does It means that this item is Unlocked?
Was shipped today, October 8, but I don't know if this "GSM-CAN" means taht is locked or unlocked!
I BOUGHT AN UNLOCKED!"GSM-CAN" means that it was a GSM iPhone sold in Canada. It doesn't indicate anything regarding lock status. If you purchased the iPhone from the online Apple Store, then to the best of my knowledge, they don't sell anything other than unlocked iPhones.

I tried to set up my daughters iPod touch yesterday on my mother's computer. I used an iTunes card and set up an iTunes account and it said it was approved however none of the app boxes ever showed up on the iPod. The only thing that shows up is a cord and an iTunes logo. I went to best buy and the technician told me the iPod didn't sync with the computer when the iTunes were downloading. Today I learned whatever computer you set you iTunes account up on and sync your iPod to is the only one you can continue to download onto your iPod. Since I wasn't successful in syncing the iPod the first time can I now set the iPod up to my iPad and if so did I waste the iTunes card that said was successfully downloaded on my mother's computer yesterday?
Okay, but this is nothing new. Purchased content has ALWAYS been permanently tied to the AppleID account used to buy it. It has never been transferable between accounts, or playable on computers not authorized for that account.
It has nothing to do with how you sync or save your OWN music. You cannot authorize your computer for music bought with an AppleID that you do not control. -
How do you get everything off the ipod into Library on new laptop & free up the space that was used when transferring (using ipod as hard drive to move over to new computer)? Also when try to sync music a box pops up saying are you sure as everything on the ipod will be removed & replaced with the items in the library but at the moment there's nothing in the library so don't want to lose everything?! These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

You do know tht if you created a new Apple ID - that is different than changing the Apple ID. Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to make the purchase. If the old ID is popping up, it seems like that ID is rid to the apps indicating that you created a new ID. Of course, I could be wrong or misunderstanding what you're saying as well.
If you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap your old ID and sign out and then sign in with the new ID, that should be all that you need to do, if you changed the ID. If you created a new ID, that will not work. -
I am a grad student from NYC and at a university in Montreal. I was given a 500$ gift card as a gift to put towards a new ipad. BUT, I apparently cannot use the US gift card in Canada. So, what do I do? I have no time to head back to NYC to get it. I want to order it, but not sure they will ship to montreal...? And was thinking of sending it back to my parents and then have them buy it and mail it to me, but I I think them having to pay tax on this is ridiculous. On top of that, I should be able to garner the ed discount but I dont think the US recognizes Canadian schools in their system and visa versa. SO if I do buy it in the US, I can use my gift card but I can't get the discount. Or if I buy it here in MTL, I can get the discount but I cannot use the gift card..
Can anyone suggest a solution? all bright ideas welcome.You can only use a gift card in the country it was issued in - no way around that as the Apple Store does NOT offer currency exchange with gift cards.
Nor can you order from the USA online store and ship to any address outside of the USA - again, no way around that as the online stores do NOT ship internationally.
You could send the gift card back to someone in the USA, to use to purchase your item for you, and then once they receive it, they could ship it to you. Canada customs will hold it until they collect any import fees and taxes levied on imported consumer electronics though.
Either that or buy it in Canada with the discount, and use the card later when you get home again. -

Sign out of the iCloud services that still show your previous Apple ID, and sign in using the revised one.

I have written a book with the ibooks application and I have gone through the process of publishing it through itunes to the itunes book store. Everything seems to work and i get to the end of the process and get a big green check. However, what now? How do I check to see if it actually got through to the book store or not?

What should I do
The log files are just text files. Most likely the Genius was opening them to test Word, and read through the logs at the same time to look for issues that may have told him something about your Mac's performance. I would assume he didn't find anything out of the ordinary and handed your Mac back to you.
