I installed photoshop cc 2014, but Camera Raw remains on Version 8.0. Update to 8.5 does not work.

Solved in this way:
Close Photoshop first, then:
Download the 8.5 manual update link from here: Don't run the installer, but instead just Open the zip file in Windows Explorer.

Navigate inside the zip file to find the resources inside that correspond to the 64 or 32 bit Photoshop version that you're running. I assume you have installed the 64 bit version, so the rest of the instructions will concentrate on the 64 bit Camera Raw.8bi only. Here's the path:
setup.zip \ payloads \ AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-x64-050614143245 \ Assets1_1.zip
The file within Assets1_1.zip, named 1002, is actually the Camera Raw.8bi file for 64 bits, just with a different name.
Copy 1002 to your folder on your computer where your Camera Raw.8bi normally lives, e.g.,
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats
Rename the old Camera Raw.8bi file to Camera Raw.8bi_8.0. It's important that the extension is changed to something other than .8bi.
Rename 1002 to Camera Raw.8bi
Run Photoshop and verify the Camera Raw version by choosing Help - About Plug-in... - Camera Raw.

I am having this problem too, I have installed photoshop (and dreamweaver) however upon opening it asked me to sign in which i do, it then asks me to either start the 30 day trial or 'license this software' and upon clicking to license the software it asks for a serial number. You were probably using the Release Candidate version of camera raw 8.7, which one gets from Adobe Labs.

I just installed Photoshop CC 2014, but Latest version of Bridge will not work when I want to open it from PS

Any idea why is Bridge latest version not working when trying to open it in Photoshop CC 2014 ? (French version) ? When trying, Creative Cloud app will open to ask if I want to download newest version, which I did numerous times now.

Here's how a similar problem was resolved between PS and BR.
The issue was confirmed by ChunXiaYang at Adobe staff and solution put in the forum discussion on June 19 (no. 13). Here's a copy:
I have confirmed that this is a known issue before release. And the workaround is to uninstall and reinstall PS 2014. Then Bridge can be launched by selecting 'Browse in Bridge' in PS2014.

I did this with a fresh install of the entire CC package. As soon as the CC packages updated, CC Bridge broke. Unistalled CC PS, reinstalled again, CC Bridge works, but CC PS updates itself again, and breaks CC Bridge.
You know... The whole move to CC has been a massive cluster... I've struggled with the CC packages for my entire subscription year, and now I'm 1.5 month away from needing to throw down another $720 for no reason what-so-ever, just so we can Beta test your really screwed up subscription services.

Please try to [[Re-enable add-ons that were disabled when updating Firefox]] or make a back up of the add on folder in the profile folder and reinstall the add on. You can get Camera Raw 8.5 right now. Some folks have reported trouble installing it, however, via the automatic means. This link may help you:

Hi wskossack, I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with Firefox 36. I am also sorry that we have not been able to get that working for you yet.
If what you really want is to uninstall Firefox we can do that. Of course I have to ask if you would be willing to let my help you to get the most up to date version of Firefox working. But, Firefox is all about the ability to customize. If you want we can install the last version of Firefox and you can use that until the next version comes out or while we work to get Firefox 36 working for you. I will try to cover every option in my reply.
First I will cover uninstalling Firefox. If you want to look at the [[Uninstall Firefox from your computer|article click here]] this can be done in about 7 steps
I would recommend that you completely uninstall Firefox and install it again. This will most likely fix any problems you have right now. Because you are asking how to do this I am going to assume that you have not tried this.
If you have Vista or Windows 7:
1) close any open Firefox windows.
2) from the start menu click on control panel
3) click on uninstall a program
4) from this list chose Firefox
5) click on uninstall (this is located turds the top)
If the Uninstall Wizard does not run, you can start it manually by running helper.exe, which is located in one of these locations by default:
(32-bit Windows) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe
(64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe
6) in the Firefox uninstall wizard click next and on the next page click uninstall then click finish
7) to remove other files and folders that may not be removed by the uninstall, you must manually delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations by default:
(32-bit Windows) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
(64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
The uninstaller does not remove any user data such as history or bookmarks. To completely remove this data, you must manually delete the Firefox folder containing your user profile:
Click the Windows Start button.
Type %APPDATA% in the search field and press enter to open the hidden Roaming folder.
Open the Mozilla folder
Delete the Firefox folder.
Now I am going to go over how to get the last version of Firefox installed on your computer. If you want to look at the [[Install an older version of Firefox|article click here]] . If you decide that this is what you want to do please look at the article for some impotent security information.
Firefox 35.0.1 was the last version of Firefox and you can get it by [https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/35.0.1/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2035.0.1.exe clicking here] . The link is also in the article. If you do this you will have to disable the auto update. To do this go to options, then go to advance. Under advance there will be a sub tab. You want to go to update. Then you can select to never check or to have it tell you when there is an update.
So the only thing left is for me to help you with any problems you are having with Firefox 36. I hope you will give me a chance. In any case, if you need any more information or help with anything that I went over please let me know.

HT4946 i want to backup my iPhone to my new iMac but my backup is selected to Encrypt Local backup and my password does not work.

I am trying to backup my iPhone on my new iMac iTunes. It is currently backed up on my PC and encrypted. Both PC and iMac iTunes have Encrypted backup selected. My password does not work for either iMac or PC. Should I go ahead and try to backup to my iMac iTunes.

Sorry to hear about your phone jb111jb! We'll do everything we can to help find the best route! The only way to remove the password is flashing the device, but that will erase all the content. Have you ever backed up using Verizon Cloud or Google Sync? Do you have a memory card?

Creative cloud says it has updated and installed Photoshop CC 2014, but I can not find it on my PC

What the subject says. I updated/installed PS CC 2014 through the Creative cloud menu on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit PC. It says it is installed. But I can't find it anywhere on my computer - nothing in teh start menu, nothing in the Programs or Programs x86 folders. Is there a way to re-install?

My Macbook Air (13", mid 2011) right after I did the Maverick OS update. My keyboard on Macbook Air is not working and it says "There isn't a keyboard connected" (Bluetooth Keyboard Setup). I do not use a wireless keyboard. Apparently my bluetooth works because my wireless mouse works. I am currently stuck at my login screen not being able to get in because I can't even enter my password. I am, however, able to login as guests and get to the Keyboard viewer to type things with my wireless mouse. I really need my keyboard to work to use for my job. I need help please!

I forgot to mention that my power button did work but everything else, keyboard and trackpad, didn't! Most browsers check for spelling mistakes automatically. Look for the words that are flagged by red lines and right-click them to see suggestions. Note that with some browsers, you may need to download a dictionary.

Not all locales come with a dictionary installed for licensing reasons. 
If you do not have the en-US locale then check that you have a dictionary installed (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and selected. 
 
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu. 
Also make sure that [[X]"Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a tick. 
You can also try to toggle the "Check Spelling" item off and on again.

Scine installing FF4, I have to right click on a link to open it. Standard clicking does not work all the time.

In most websites I have to right-click a link and select open in new tab or new window to get the link to open. I cannot left click on a link and get the link to open.

Try disabling the Ask Toolbar extension.

After updating aurora/firefox to most updated versions i find the mcafee site advisor does not work , but after rolling back the versions it does .

Most security software only supports the current release and even that can take some time after Firefox has been updated. 
If you expect Firefox to work properly all the time then you should stay with the release version and to use nightly builds that are updated every day or weekly in the case of the Beta channel.

I am having a hard time deleting unwanted voice messages with my new phone and software as compare to my iphone4 which was as easy as clicking on the delete button. VMs would delete instantly. with my iPhone 5 7.0.4 software ver the first one or two delete immediately then the phone freezes up for several seconds making the process frustrating. I am wondering if either I am doing something wrong or if there is a fix out there. its a giant step backwards for Apple.
