I installed the new maverick app on my mac pro yesterday and now my phone doesn't work
Can anyone help me get my phone working again??
Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

I have the same trouble with my 3 weeks old iPhone 6+. After update to the last iOS, touch ID doesn't respond anymore.
I delete my fingers print and now I'm unable to set new one.
The Apple Shop of my place in Yogyakarta (Indonesia) says they didn't gave any service for iPhone (!!!) so I contact the Apple Support online who advise me to restore it. I did, but it didn't solve the problem: Touch ID still not responding.
At this point I don't know anymore what to do... -

Thanks Carolyn. Unfortunately, this didn't work. It turned out to be in my display monitor as I have my computer wired to my tv for streaming. Once I changed the monitor display it worked fine. Go figure

I just installed the new CC apps. Since they get installed parallel to the old ones instead of upgrading, do I un-install the old ones with the un-install app in the old folder?

Are you using a Mac machine or Windows PC?
If using a Mac machine, go to Application-->Utilities-->Adobe Installer-->old apps names and run the uninstaller for old apps.
If you are using Windows PC, go to Control panel-->>Program and Features and uninstall the old apps.
It will uninstall everything related to old apps, but your setting must be imporated to new version of apps.

I am trying to install the OS Mavericks upgrade on my MAC and it requests for me to enter an administrator password. I do not use an an administrator password on the machine. Any ideas how to resolve this?
If you bought the machine new yourself, and did not enter a password when configuring it, leave the field blank.

then had to find out (same as with this issue) that I presently have other software that will not run on Maverics.
You could create a clone of your drive with all your current software, so you could continue to work with your Snowleopard software by booting from the clone, and upgrade your main system to Mavericks, if your computer supports Mavericks. This way, you could have both, if the new features of Mavericks are interesting to you - e.g-, iCloud syncing of multiple Macs, new sharing features, and for GarageBand automatic drummers and arpeggiators. -

So do you mean that the BPEL respository was already there when you did the install? If yes, then that explains the mismatch error. You should always clean up the old references if doing a reinstall. Drop the user and schemas related to PM and do a reinstall.

The iPhone has a hardware problem - with the battery or something else.
The iPhone includes a one year warranty. If purchased new in October of 2012, it remains under warranty. Call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby. -
I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work.
^^ that's the main problem. Here's the full history.
I bought a new 13" i5 MBP, early 2011 edition. I had an old white Macbook 2.14 ghz core2duo on Snow Leopard. I attempted to port over my time machine backup, but encountered problems in that my User was inaccessible from the new computer after the import finished, and I had to go in and change the root password, etc, and for some reason or another, I couldn't install any programs at all from that administrator's account. By "couldn't" I mean I could install them, but upon installation they would never boot. So, I took it to the apple store and did a clean install from the most up to date Lion OSX. Then, I created a brand new admin account, instead of trying to import the old one, and things seemed great. Then, I just imported my old files from the TM backup, but not any system settings, permissions, or user data. Just my Docs, pics, vids, apps, and itunes stuff.
Here's where things get weird again. I imported this stuff under the name "old", but all of these folders have a red negative sign on them, marking them as restricted. So, from my main admin account, I cannot even peruse these folders. Since I didn't import user data, I can't sign in to the "old" account to change permissions. I already tried to change the permissions from system preferences, but that didn't change anything. And now, for whatever reason, of all the apps that were imported then, MS Office is the only set of apps that does not work. When I click on it, it just says there was a problem and asks if I'd like to send a report to apple. I tried reinstalling it to no avail. I'm an English student, so i really need access to Word. I just downloaded the updates and now my mail doesn't work. It says I now need a newer version of OS to allow I've to open my mail which I can't right now
What version of the OS X are you running? Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac and report the Version back here.

Probably wasn't a good idea to install beta software on a device when you're not a developer.
Apple clearly states that beta software is not to be installed on production devices.
Not really much you can do except wait for iOS 6.1 to be officially released and then install it.
