I intermittently cannot send photo attachments when Texting... I have a 3GS

If I try to reply to an incoming text with a text and photo, it fails. And, sometimes I cannot even reply to an incoming text. I have to go to Contacts and start a new thread. Any ideas?

There seems to be some sort of unstated time limit on sending gifts, as others have reported similar problems. Go here:
http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
Regards.

When you said you went to Settings and everything seems good. Does that mean the MMS was turned on? If so, and this is only being experienced when dealing with SMS/MMS, then you should contact your carrier to have them check to make sure your account is provisioned for MMS, and that everything is alright with your account. SMS/MMS is a carrier function.

I have starter 3.0 and cannot share pictures via outlook express. Evidently that version is discontinued and my outlook express does not support the MAPI that is required. I think the only solution is to upgrade to photoshop
elements or to send photos as attachment to your e-mail.  I have the same problem using Zoom Browser EX sending photos via internet. I spent a whole day trying to resove this issue and have exhausted all options. Just like "Instant share" in HP image Zone that was replace by photoshop album starter 3.0 and now it is out dated.

  • IMessage on iPhone 4 cannot send photos

Upgraded my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to iOS 5.  However, I have experienced issues with iMessage in the following manner:
    1.  iMessage on iPhone 4 cannot send photos.  It can receive photos though.  Okay for both sending & receiving texts.
    2.  Each time when trying to send a text message using iMessage, it cannot be sent out. I have to first send a text message using cellular SMS (press & hold the iMessage message and click on "send as text message"), and from that point onwards, I can then send text message using iMessage.
Things are okay for my iPad.
Can anyone help advise me any solution?
    Thanks and regards,
    Gary

I have Windows 8 but cannot send photos in email through Adobe email service.

    1. Log in to your mail provider on the web and add the following email to your address/contacts book.
    [email protected]
    2. Open Organizer and on the menu click:
    Edit >> Preferences >> Sharing
    3. Choose Adobe Email Service from the client dropdown menu.
    4. Add your name and email address to the fields provided and click OK
    5. Test the system (first use only)  by selecting a photo in organizer and choosing Share >> Photo Mail then click Next (Mac users should use attachments)
    6. Choose a contact then click  Next
    7. Click Next Step, then click Next - the sender verification dialog will open.
    8. Check you have spelt your email address correctly and hit the Resend E-Mail button.
    9. Go to your inbox (also check spam) and when the Adobe mailer message is received copy (Ctrl+C) the long verification code.

  • Sending photo attachments from Mail to Gmail

I've been sending photo attachments via Mail for years and haven't had trouble until recently. Now I'm getting complaints from Gmail users that the attachments come through as embedded files. I guess on the Gmail end, they don't see it listed out as an attachment, but as part of the mail body. What's going on here?
I attach files same as I always have - by clicking on "attach", then selecting the file(s) I want to attach. I always leave "send windows friendly attachments" selected (although in an experiment, I tried sending it without clicking that, and the images came over all stretched out and shrunken in a very strange way).
I can't think of what would be happening, but I'm assuming it's something in either the way Mail or Gmail is treating the photos - and I'd like to have them come through as attachments, rather than embed files (I'm a photographer and have heard from some of my clients that the embed is a pain - they have to "save as" right click on each image rather than just select "save attachments" or something).
    Any ideas??

Send to these recipients using only Plain Text, and all should be well. To test choose a message you previously sent from the Sent mailbox, open, click on Message in the menubar, choose Send Again, then click on Format and choose Make Plain Text.
Rich Text as received by those using Outlook or Outlook Express, as two examples, will see the RTF as HTML, and the attachments will appear embedded -- although they are not.

  • Cannot send photos

This is a second request for help on this matter.  I cannot send photos directly out of i-photo.  I highlight the photo, click on "share", enter the address and click on "send".  The progress bar shows activity but will eventually stop.  A window will appear that contains a Yellow warning triangle and the i-photo icon.  Also. in the window is a small prompt that says "OK".  If I click on OK, the window with the yellow triangle/icon will close .... then nothing.  I am using Thunderbird for a mail manager.  I've double-checked my i-photo account setup with my provider, verifying the correct outgoing mail server name, account name, port number,...etc...  I have no problems with e-mails in general or sending photos as attachments.  I just can't do it directly from i-photo.

As your problem is with sending from iPhoto, then there is no role for Thunderbird in this.]
Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
You'll also have to set up your Mail details again in iPhoto -> Accounts.
    What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
Some scriptable email apps can be used with iPhoto so that you can send the shot directly from iPhoto to a new mail message. As Tbird isn't scriptable it cannot be used in this role.
    Regards
    TD

  • Hi I cannot send photos as an attachment to a message is there something on my phone that is blocking them.

Hi I cannot send photos as an attachment to a message is there something on my phone that is blocking them.

Does "message" mean you are trying to send photos as part of a text message?
If so, you need two things:
    1.  Settings > Message > MMS Messaging = "on"
    2.  You must have MMS messaging enabled with your cellular carrier.  Often this costs more than simple text messaging (SMS).

    Hi Stephen,
What version of MS Office are you using?
Are you facing the issue similar to that mentioned here: Acrobat/Reader: Attach to Email button not working for PDFs referenced from long URLs
Open Acrobat. Use the click-path Edit - Preferences - select the Category "Email Accounts". In the dialog there is the "Add Account" drop-down. Select "Add Other". The "Add Webmail Account" dialog presents. You'll fill out the dialog's fields with Outlook.com settings. (don't forget the "Advance Settings" button)
From a look-see on the web it appears that the following are the needed settings. BUT, you'll be wanting to validate.
The Outlook.com SMTP server settings for sending outgoing messages from an email program on desktop, cell phone or mobile device are:
    • Outlook.com SMTP server address: smtp.live.com
    • Outlook.com SMTP user name: Your full Outlook.com email address (not an alias)
    • Outlook.com SMTP password': Your Outlook.com password
    • Outlook.com SMTP port: 587
    • Outlook.com SMTP TLS/SSL encryption required: yes
For incoming messages from an Outlook.com account to an email program using POP, use the Windows Live Hotmail POP3 server settings.
The Outlook.com POP server settings for downloading new incoming messages to email program, cell phone or mobile device are:
    • Outlook.com POP server address: pop3.live.com
    • Outlook.com POP user name: Your full Outlook.com email address (not an alias)
    • Outlook.com POP password: Your Outlook.com password
    • Outlook.com POP port: 995
    • Outlook.com POP TLS/SSL encryption required: yes
