I just bought a jail broken iPhone and then did a factory reset on it. Now it won't get passed the loading screen. Is there anything I can do without the jail-breaking software?
When I bought it it was working just fine. There was no sim in it when I got it. I went into the settings and reset the phone back to factory. The phone rebooted itself and now, when the loading symbol is done loading, it goes away for a second and then is right back. It just keeps rebooting over and over until it's dead.
My computer won't find it and the charger isn't charging it anymore.
Possibly... but per the terms of use of these forums, discussion of jailbroken devices is not permitted.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

Idk what's happening and I really hope I did not lose EVERYTHING on my phone. After the backup and reset, I updated my phone to iOS 8 and during the updating process on iTunes it said backing up or something like that and then I instantly thought "noo! backing up what? theres nothing on my phone right now" so i think it was backing up my phone after I reset everything up to my computer so during that I THINK I pressed restore iPhone while it was updating to iOS 8 and i did that because it said it was backing up when there was nothing on my iPhone and everything from my phone is on my computer so I tried to restore it during the updating process just to make sure everything went back to my phone. Then the update got corrupted. I don't think it was the stuff I backed up because it was already on the computer and it was the update that wasn't finished so I think it was the update that got corrupted. Now I have iOS 8 and every time I try to restore my phone it says it restored but nothing ever happens, it brings me to the "Hello" screen every time. Then when I get to the set up as new iPhone or restore from iCloud/itunes screen I try to restore it again and back to the "Hello" screen I go. PLEASE HELP ME GUYS PLEASE!
I went back to iOS 7 and my backup file is restoring but when its done nothing is on my phone still and only takes 11-15 minutes to restore the backup instead of taking 25+ minutes like usual so I guess the backup is corrupted. How can I fix this?

The nearest service center is 2 hours from my house and my computer isn't under warranty anymore, so I need alternative options. I'm just frustrated that my disc drive was totally fine until AFTER I took it in for service. I just paid a lot of money for a new hard drive from the apple store and now my disc drive has suddenly stopped working correctly. I tried with multiple CD's and DVD's...loading a disc, but my computer would just make a weird loading noise and then eject the discs. Now it has started fighting taking the disc, so I have stopped trying. Is there anyway to fix this problem without taking it in for service again and paying another boat load of money?

when you say that your disc drive is damaged, do you mean your MacBook Pro’s hard disk drive, or do you mean its SuperDrive (the CD/DVD drive)?
When you’d updated your MacBook Pro to Mavericks, did the installation succeed, and subsequently freeze up? Or did it freeze up during the Mavericks installation?
Which version of OS X was installed on your MacBook Pro before you’d installed Mavericks?
Are you currently able to boot into the Mavericks recovery partition? To see if you can do so, hold down a Command key and the R key while starting up your MacBook Pro. -
Yeah so I previously deleted videos and recently had to do a factory reset because the phone was freezing on me. I hadn't ever backup up my phone, so is there any way to retrieve the videos?
Anything is possible. Some things. like recovering those videos, are just not very likely. What is likely is that a friend who "plays with data retrieval and forensics software" is likely to create problems with your phone.

I have an old ipod touch which won't go past the Apple logo, all it does is show me a loading symbol, but will go no further, i have tried restoring it and i have been successful. It should work... when I got my first iPod I transferred my entire library over and it was all .wma files. What specific steps have you tried?

In that case, you will have to install iTunes on the computer, put the phone into recovery mode, and restore it as a new device. It will be wiped. Everything on it will be lost.
There is no way to bypass a forgotten lock code. If there were, it wouldn't be much good. -
I just bought a new MacBook Air after my old one suffered a drink being spilled on it and died. I used migration assistant to back up from my time capsule but now it won't open Mail or Safari and iTunes can't find all my music. Any ideas how to fix this? I have downloaded software updates.
Thanks for that advice however now I have a duplicate of all my documents on my hard drive but the Mail and Safari will not open. I have been able to open iTunes. I have tried to download software updates for Mail and Safari and this tells me that the download was unsuccessful ( after taking some time to download). Can I reinstall the system? Would that help?

Hi all.
I just bought a T1B Intenso Hard Drive.
Plugged into my MacBook Pro and TimeMachine instantly pops up asking me if i want to back up.
I do, so I accept and encrypt it.
However, a message appears and asks me if I want to erase the disk (nothing is on there) to be able to continue.
Should I erase the disk?
Will it corrupt the files saved on it?

±Adam±Have you already formatted the drive using Disk Utility? If you erase the drive then, yes, you will lose all data on the drive.
If you want to use the drive as a Time Machine volume, however, you MUST format the drive as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" using Disk Utility (Applications>Utilities folder).

You can upgrade to ML directly from SL. Why do you want Lion? ML=$19.99, Lion=$29.99 (or something like that if I'm not mistaken) but that was when Lion was on the Mac App Store (MAS). Unless you had purchased Lion previously, you won't find it on the MAS. Now, Lion may be available only at Retail Stores on USB (which would probably be more than $30) or you might have to talk to someone at their online store (some of the posters in the forum have said they were able to order it at the online store-not sure if they got it though)
