I just bought a Macbook pro and the keyboard lights flash on and off.  What's wrong? do I need to take it back?

ahhhh help!

you can switch off the automatic lighting of the keyboard by going to system preferences then keyboard and uncheck 'automatically illuminate keyboard in low light' . after this you can control your keyboard light by using the buttons F5 and F6 at the top of your keyboard
