I just bought a new 30gb video ipod and......

The Video starts to play but there is no sounds..
I looked on iTunes there was two of the same video's one played sound and one did not, the one that did not play sound was the one that was converted to the ipod format.

But the external monitor remain black… so I turn it off then turn it back on, it said "No VGA signal". Does it means I have to use VGA adapter instead? To clear to old before passing it on, open the Settings app and tap on General (left hand menu). Scroll down and tap on settings, then tap on Erase All Content and Settings.
If you have been synching the iPad to iTunes on a computer, you should also have backed it up. If you havn't backed it, you will want to do so before clearing the settings and use the back up to set up your new iPad.

Please tell us what kind of computer you have, what operating system and what version of iTunes. Not just "the latest version of iTunes", the exact version number.

Buy an external optical drive such as the Apple USB SuperDrive that is made specifically for that model.
Use the optical drive of your old MBP to clone the DVDs to USB flash drives, then install from the flash drives.
Connect both computers to your local network and then share the optical drive to install the software.

Ambient light sensors are not always perfect in their function. To test, go into darkened room, with screen OFF, Locked, tap Home button. Look at screen it should be normal for use in darkened room, turn on bright lights, the screen should brighten to help compensate. If your iPhone does not do this, then Restore iPhone with current iTunes on your computer. See if better. If still problem, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

If you've got 5 computers authorised for the account in question, and you need to free up authorizations, I'd do a "Deauthorize All" from one of the computers you have access to, and then reauthorize the computers you have access to.
