I just bought a new computer, now itunes tells me I can only sync with one computer. It only offers me the choice to erase and sync. I do not want to erase my ipod, I just want my music on the new computer. Can't I just transfer the songs from the ipod
I just bought a new computer. Itunes only offers me the option of erase and sync, as I can only have it sync'd with one computer. I want to move my music to this computer from my ipod. Is this possible, or do I have to go back to my cds and upload everything from there? I just want to be able to move my music from my ipod to the new computer.
You need to transfer your iTunes Library from the old computer to the new one - then you can carry on syncing as normal. You can't move non-purchased music from an iPod to iTunes using iTunes. For purchased music, choose iTunes > File > Transfer purchases...

I am rebuilding my iTunes library, but still have all the old content on my iPod Classic. I have just download some songs from the iStore and want to add them to the iPod, BUT when I try to sync it asks if I want to delete all content from the iPod and add only the material that I have just downloaded from the Store. I do not want to lose my old content, because it is very extensive.
You are trying to sync to other than the one iTunes library you can sync to. You can copy music from multiple library/computer if you use the manual method of syncing. That method is described here
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
If you want to make this computer/iTunes library your syncing computer/library you have to restore the iPod on this computer/library. Restoring erases the iPod.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
To copy other music to the computer see:

I have burned numerous cd's onto my old computer. Many of these songs cannot be purchased on Itunes (Garth Brooks for example). My old computer died and now I can't transfer these songs from my ipod onto my new computer. How can I retreive my data?
What options do you have enabled from under your iPod's Summary and Music tabs for syncing preferences?

About two years ago I bought an Ipod (4), recently I bought an Iphone 4S. I just want to transfer some songs from my old ipod to my new phone and I am not being capable to find a way in Itunes!! Any help???
Just transfer them from iTunes.
If they are not in iTunes. connect the iPod, then File > Devices > Transfer purchases.
Then connect the iPhone and sync these songs. -

can't I just drag purchased songs from my iTunes on my MacBook to my tethered iPod? It's not working!
iOS: Syncing with iTunes - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386 - You can sync everything or selected playlists. "WIth iTunes 10, when automatically syncing, you can also manually drag items to the iDevice. These will show up in Manually Added Songs at the bottom of the Music tab after Playlists, Artists Genre, Albums." - https://discussions.apple.com/message/18919754

My new Windows 8 PC doesn't show my old Itunes library. How can I transfer my songs from IPod 2nd Gen to new PC?
Right click on your device in the device list and choose "transfer purchses" to copy all music bought in iTunes to your new iTunes library.
For all other media you'll have to use 3rd party software, examples are mentioned in this thread:

how can i transfer my songs from my nano to a new itunes account because when i try to it tells me that i need to errase whatever is on the nanno ans then i can sync whats on my itunes but i want to put these songs and store them onto this new itunes acc
Your i-device was not designed to be a reliable unique storage for your media. It is not a backup device and everything is structured around you maintaining your media on a computer which is itself backed up. Sync transfer is one way, computer to device, matching the device content to the content on the computer. If the computer has nothing on it, the device is set to match the computer's content -- nothing. The exception is purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will probably have to use third party commercial software unless you have an older model iPod. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

Authorization and Deauthorization
Macs: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

I have bought a new iPad air, I decided it to restore it from the last iPhone 5S backup, and now it's asking me about two iCloud accounts I never heard of in my life. WHY?
The iPhone and iPad draw whatever charging current they require. The iPad draws more.
