I just bought an album but the music is no where to be found yet the money was from my account like if it was purchased. How do i get my music?

I just bought an album but a screen came up saying that i need to verify my account through security questions. Initially I didnt get the answers right to the questions so itunes locked me out. When i went to see if the music downloaded, it didnt. But from the amount left on my giftcard, it's clear that the album had been bought. I looked in the "downloaded" section and cant find this album. I even tried rebuying the album to see if it would resume its download but it was going to completely rebuy it.
Please help me receive the music I bought.
thanks

I'm not sure I just know that you can call the 1-800 number. I think you can chat but am not sure how to do so.

If you are using a Mac with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, OS X Lion or Mountain Lion (as you say in your post), you have to install QuickTime Player first in order to install QuickTime Pro with your key. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3678

    From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes.

Define "I cannot transfer songs."  What exactly did you do, and what exactly happened?
Did you authorized iTunes on your computer and sign into the same iTunes account as your phone (and the one the music was purchased under)?

I tried getting rid of the SC folder and deauthorizing the computer.  Any other ideas?

  • I keep getting an exclamation mark next to music i purchased how do i get my music restored

i am unable to hear some of my music due to an exclamation point that appears, how do i restore my music ?

Is this just one file or many?
If one file, you can restore it from a backup, or if it is an iTunes Store purchase you may be able to download it again.
If it is many files then it is possible you renamed a file or folder, or moved one that is part of iTunes' organization of your music. iTunes really doesn't like it if you do things yourself inside the iTunes folder.  The easiest solution then is to undo what you did.  iTunes doesn't work directly with your files. It works with a database file that tells iTunes where it thinks the music is located, so if you click on a track and have changed the location of the file iTunes may not know the new location.

  • Me and my wife both have seperate itunes accounts but have only one desktop. How can we bth use seperate accounts on the one pc as I have just bought an album but because she has done in the last week i get an error message saying this pc has been used

and i can't transfer my purchases for 86 days. surely we can use two seperate accounts on the one pc. the only other pc's we have are ipads and we cant sync our ipods using them. thanks in advance

Set up a seperate PC user account on your PC and use that for yourself or your wife. The iTunes library is associated with the PC user account.

  • IPod has my only copy of my lifetime of music on it from a hard drive that crashed...how do I get that music to my new Laptop which it's not synced to?

All my old legitamately purchased music is on my iPod Touch 64GB 3rd Generation from a desktop in which the hard drive had crashed. The only copies I now have of the music are on the iPod and I want to load them from the iPod to my new Laptop (MacBook) which the iPod is not Synced to.
What do I do in this situation?
I also have much more memory left on the iPod but I can't add songs to it without erasing all of my old music from pretty much all my life...
    What can I do?
(Answers such as..."That's why you back up your hard drives or burn or transfer the music on external media..." are not a solution to this problem they are preventive measures...and why isn't the iPod considered a form of external media?)
(Apple...if your answer is what I think it will be which will yield no solution...just keep this situation in mind when you force iTunes upon us. Prove me wrong.)

  • How do i get my music from my iphone, onto itunes? Plz help

Hi, I have had my Iphone for two years now, but only got my macbook some months ago. Before i got my computer, i bought my music over the app itunes on my Iphone. My phone is broken so I'm sending it to reparation very soon, and they say i should have a backup for everything. I do have a backup for everything, except for my music. I have tried several tired synchronizing my phone on my mac (the automatic way), but it still wont come on my itunes. So, the music is on my phone, but not on my macbook. I almost clicked "Sync music" on itunes (macbook), but it would delete every bit of music or tunes i had. So of course, i did not do that.
So my quiestion is: How do i get my music onto my computer, so i can get a backup??? Plz answer asap, because I have to send my phone soon.
    Thanks

    Hello JWILDT,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Since you have purchased the content from iTunes on your iPhone, simply transfer purchases from your iPhone in to iTunes.

Just bought a nano and want to download some of my iTunes library. The "Music" button shows almost all my selections but some albums are missing, yet ONLY those albums appear on the nano icon on my desktop after being dragged there but none of the others. What's happening?
I've read some of the post here that I thought might help but they refer to titles (Music) and triangles in the "Devices" window which are nowhere to be seen when I open the "Devices" window.
I have iTunes 11.0.3 and Mac OS 10.6.8. Does this make a difference?

I should mention that, for the first problem, I do make sure that my new tracks are stored in the folder where I told iTunes that my music is in. Also, when I say the cataloging of my library stops short of cataloging all my songs, I have tried leaving the computer unattended for days (my computer's sleep mode is disabled). It always stops before cataloging all of my music regardless of whether I am doing something else while iTunes is cataloging, or if I just let iTunes be the only program that's open during the cataloging process.

  • I've just bought an album and downloaded it,went to sync it to my ipod shuffle and it doesn't appear in the album list to sync, yet it is in the music library? why is it not available to sync?

This sounds similar to the problem where new purchases will appear in playlists, but not the main music source, suggesting that iTunes is making a hash of the indexes. Somewhat bizarrely the solution for that one seems to be to download the current free Single of the Week, maybe it will help you too.
