I just bought an i phone form a pawn shop. I restored it and then it said that i had to sign into the users apple id. The problem is i dont think the person who owned this beofre me is available. So how do i restore the whole thing without his account?

I really need help. I want to activate this phone but it is signed under another user. I cant get rid of this apple acount. How do i do it.

Apps can only be updated using the same Apple ID and password they were originally purchased with.

I have it plugged in next to the computer and I turn it off after hitting Backup but it never completes.... Should I just give up and try to get my money back?

I'm having the same problem with my iPad (3). It's been saying that my last backup was 10/11/2012. I have tried rebooting (holding down the home and start keys to reset) and then trying to manually do a backup to the cloud. I have tried deleting the iCloud backups for all apps & setting all of them to not be included in the cloud backup (thinking that maybe one of the apps might be hanging the backup up). I have now deleted the last iCloud backup. I guess I will wait & see if it performs its backup overnight or something. As mentioned above, it has consistently been 1) plugged in, 2) connected to a wifi network, and 3) been in lock screen mode. And yet it hasn't been backing up either automatically (iCloud Backup is set to "on") or if I touch 'Back Up Now'.

When I try connecting it to my computer itunes opens and says I cannot connect to the ipod because it is disabled, enter passcode on ipod. The ipod is locked and disabled and will not allow me to try and put in a passcode, which I wouldn't be able to do because I have no idea what it might have been.
I downloaded the newest version of Itunes, restarted computer, connected ipod, nothing, held every button down for what seems like forever, nothing. I think I have been screwed by the pawnshop. Is there anyway of restoring this thing or is now just a $60.00 paperweight?

i upgraded it to the newest update and it came up sim locked enter three digit number to activate and then on the internet it said to restore it so i did that and now it says Sim locked insert a valid sim with no pin to activate :/

The ONLY place that can unlock a locked iphone is the carrier to which it is locked ( if they offer this service).
It sounds as if you may have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone and it locked back to the carrier when updated ( as it should if it is hacked).

Before updating to the latest ios i had songs in my iphone. after updating also it was there, but when i wanted to put more songs through itunes in my iphone , i synced with itunes first with my iphone. Then i pressed sync all songs and then itunes said that all songs had been synced. But in my iphone it showed me that there is no songs at all and i have to download it from itunes store. The songs which i had also went from my iphone. I dont know what happened. I updated my itunes to the latest one 11.1.1. But still no change . Can anyone tell me what is the problem. What to do?

Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.

Yeah that works, but, it involves a click on the event, a click on edit, a click on the date, keystrokes, plus, since you can't see the next month you have to have a calendar in front of you so as to put it to the right date. It's easier just to cut it and advance the month and paste it, once you are in the right month you can move it around helter skelter willy nilly no problems. Although now that you mention it I will try it, maybe it is easier than cut and paste as I don't really care about the date, as long as it gets moved into the right month I can drag it around all I want.

I'm not the poster but these lines seem to compute the
angle of the arrow line.
BTW (to the posters): wouldn't the use of a
Polygon be better suited for this purpose ?Looks indeed like it is calculating the angle to the origin of a line segment.

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4, and my wife has an iphone. We found out that imessage wont come through from her. After we went to the AT&T helpdesk they said that she could turn off imessage on her phone and that I would get texts on my S4. But then so would everyone else who has an iphone. That won't work for everyone in my company that has an iphone. So what I am wondering is- since I recently got this phone, should I get a new number? Or should I contact ATT or contact Apple to try and get this number de-activated? I'm thinking I'll never get into the icloud account that this number is attached to, but maybe someone has some advice on that?
I just sincerely want imessage to work on this phone and I'm willing to take the steps to do that.

Either one of the two should work - getting new number from carrier or contacting Apple to revoke phone number from imessage system.

Turn off who owns this iphone

There is a feature of Siri that allows you to ask "Who owns this iPhone?" I want to be able to turn this off without completely turning off Siri and without deleting my personal information from my Contacts. There needs to be a "none" option or something similar. I got around this by adding a dummy contact and assigning that to Siri, but seriously, things like this should be optional. This feature may seem like a useful function, assuming the person that finds the iPhone is the type of person who will return it. More likely, they will try to keep it for themselves.

You don't say which version of Photoshop Elements you are using so try this.
In the Organizer, go to Edit menu and select Preferences -> Media recognition. Uncheck Analyse Photos for People Recognition.
Also go to the View menu and uncheck People Recognition

Any Mac older than 4 years may need a new PRAM battery. Though a loose video connector could cause the problem, since those are thumbscrews that can get damaged on the back of the machine. The LC was the first Mac I actually owned!
