I just bought an iphone from someone else and I can't contact the again to erase the device from their account, is that my only option?
I bought a phone today off Kijiji and now I can't get in it because I don't have the icloude account that this phone was registered with. The person I bought it from is not answering me. Please help me out.
There is nothing we can do, you will have to get a hold of the seller.
This is the new activation lock feature Apple implemented in IOS 7.

There is no other way. Without the correct credentials you won't be able to use it.
Activation Lock cannot be bypassed, Apple will not help unless you have the original receipt (but not from some 3rd party) -
Verizon gave my landline phone number to someone else and now can't fix the problem FOR ME
I have a landline that is used for emergencies only in case my 7 year old son needs to be transported to the hospital for his seizures. I tried using the phone about 3 weeks ago during some bad weather only to find out there was no dial tone. Luckily, my cell phone woked. I contacted Verizon who sent out a technician who found out that the problem "was on their end." His work order showed someone else's name and address and he went to their house first before coming to mine. They told him they didn't have a problem so he came to my address.
I had called my "old" number from my cell phone to see if it would ring and ended up speaking to the husband of the lady who had "my" phone number. The tech asked them if they were willing to give up "my" number and they agreed to do so. The tech said he would resolve this issue for me because he'd never seen anything like it before. Maybe he and his supervisor should visit this forum and see how other customers have had the same issue. I received two calls yesterday from a Verizon customer support rep who tried to restore my service. She had to transfer me over to security or some department who treated me very rudely and told me to send a copy of my driver license or a copy of a bill to Verizon because they couldn't approve her order request. She had remained on the line with me. By this point, I'm getting **bleep** because this is the 2nd time I've been transferred to that verification department and I wanted to ask "Why don't I just send a copy of "my" bill showing my name and phone number as verification? Would that suffice?" The cust supp rep tried to explain to her what was going on but I am still without service. I had already verified my info last year when service was established and don't feel the need to provide this info again. It's Verizon's mess and they should fix it.
I am penning my letter to the corporate headquarters today. I even chatted online with another cust serv rep who was snarky with me until I typed that the chat session would be included with the letter to corporate. Then she tried to be helpful. What concerns me is even if my number is established, what if it happens again during an emergency? What about a refund that's owed me for paying for a line that was last used in June 2014 up until the present time? I want my money back. I have online banking records showing my payments. I am thoroughly disappointed in Verizon. How dare they take my money, turn off my phone, and now can't even restore it. After I contact their corporate office, if the issue isnt resolved, I am filing a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office as well as the BBB. I suggest that everyone else who will encounter this problem file a complaint too.Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.

When you connect the iPhone to sync with the new computer, a number of things will happen. If the new computer/iTunes does not contain any music, then yes, you will receive a prompt saying this iPhone is synced to another library, and if you continue, you will lose your music. However, you risk losing a number of other things, such as apps, contacts and calendar data. When you ask about photos, any photos that you have on the iPhone that were synced from the previous computer would also be lost. You need to save the photo folder from the old laptop and transfer that to the new desktop. You also need to sync the contacts and calendar to the same supported application that you were using in the past, such as Outlook, unless you are using an outside web-based sync, such as Google. Also, when you first connect the iPhone, it will make a backup, or at least make sure that it does before you attempt to sync, or you will not have a backup of some of the other things, such as mail settings, SMS, and the contents of the Camera Roll. I would import the photos from the camera roll to the new computer before trying to do anything else in iTunes.

A Verizon corporate store can provide you with a nano SIM and activate it for you. Corporate stores do not charge for SIMS. I don't know what a reseller might or might not do. -

I bought an iPhone while overseas, but I'm back living in the states now. It seems that FaceTime and iMessage is not enabled on it. How do I get it to work now that I'm back in the states?
I did buy it from someone in Jordan. So they might have got it from KSA, or UAE, or it even might be the same rules in Jordan. I don't think the imessage works even, every time someone sends me a message from their ipad it says "Not delivered". Maybe I am wrong?

I just bought a new Mac Book Pro and did a migration of the content of the old laptop (also a Mac Book Pro) to the new one. Now I cannot start Photoshop CS6. When I am starting it I have a window "Adobe photoshop CS6 extended" opening requesting a connexion. When I am entering my password for the connexion the software crashes. How can I fix the problem?

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6 and now my calendar, contacts, notes, etc. are gone. Is there any way to get that information back? I thought those things were automatically backed up in the first step of the update process.
The only restore I can find is from 2010.

On my iPhone 4, I cannot get the "not enough storage on iCloud" message to close. Therefore, I can't get past this box/screen AND I can't turn the device off. Please help.
Try resetting it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing. You won't lose any data by doing this.

If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com. Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE: This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address. Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466, and ask for account security. You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

I am very frustrated. This isn't a question for say, but venting about my anger towards Apple. I bought by phone from a 3rd party who bought the same phone from another person on eBay. The iPhone was water damaged. I have a background in Radio Repair, so I fix phones on the side. Not really for profit, but as a hobby. I am now stuck with a working phone that has the stupid iCloud activation notice. I don't understand why apple can't either give you the e-mail of the person, or since that might be considered a security breach for some reason, email the previous user for us requesting they remove the unused phone from their account. Or is it apple trying to make more money, forcing me to buy a new iPhone.

It would be cool if an option on the activation help could automaticly have the option to contact the previous owner on our behalf, and give them the instructions to remove the phone from their account. Or given them a chance to respond back if the phone was lost or stolen.You are raising a number of issues, all of which limit Apple due to abiding by privacy and security. We are all fellow users and not Apple employees so cannot speak for Apple, but describe what we understand to be the conditions.
Release of personal information, inclucing email, simply cannot ever happen for privacy concerns. Plus uncertainty over just who the current owner of a device might be and how that device has been setup. You could end up going in bigger circles as you indicate more than one previous owner of the iPhone.
The Activation Lock is an anti-theft protection that Apple has been praised by law enforcement for implementing. While it is an inconvenience for reselling some devices when previous owners do not properly cleanse their devices, there have been numerous cases brought up on here that are pretty conclusively dealing with stolen iOS devices.
All that can be done is somehow contact the previous owner and have that person remove the iPhone from his/her iCloud account so you can use it, as you have acknowledged. Apple cannot get involved for legal reasons.
