    I just bought Creative Cloud, installed it, and then went to the Adobe site to install After Effects, since I couldn't find a way to do this on the CC menu. I have Mac OSx. I downloaded the After Effects CC 2014 app and it installed it onto my desktop. So when I go to applications>adobe there is no After Effects file and no plugins. And in the menu within After Effects there is no listing of the Effects & presets. I tried searching various things like "curves" and nothing showed up except for "contents"......any idea on how to solve this?

    If you are telling us that you could not find After Effects in the Creative Cloud app then your system does not meet the minimum system requirements. If you somehow found a disk image and managed to run it and it gave you the option to choose Desktop when installing then you probably don't have a light copy of CC 2014, because it should only be installed using the CC app. Mac OSx tells us nothing. You could be on Lion, or Leopard, or Mountain Lion or even something else.
    Tell us more about your system, show us what you get when and if you get AE to launch (sounds like you're looking inside the disk image for an app and it's not there), and give us the exact steps or error messages that you are seeing when you try and launch AE. BTW, plug-ins are only accessible from inside the timeline or the comp window when the App is running.

    Looks like you didn't uninstall; you just logged out.  Go to the Windows Control Panel, Programs and Features (in Win7; may be different in your version of Windows).  right click on each Adobe CC app you want to uninstall and select "uninstall".  Then uninstall CC itself.

  • How do I simply start Ps? Just bought creative cloud.

    Bought and paid for CC. Did email confirmation. DL went fine. Toshiba i7 with windows 8.1. Would have thought a simple icon "Ps" on either metro apps or traditional view so I can do some work would be fine. No metro icon and the traditional view icon only goes to more marketing stuff. How dows one just start Ps and do some work without yards of marketing stuff.?

    I have done that. While I have neither Creative Cloud nor Ps in my metro interface I do have CC in my traditional desktop as a shortcut. I have a CC account, and my credit card has been charged. Assuming that something went wrong I use Windows 8.1 uninstaller 3 times to remove Adobe PS CC and reloaded. Right now if I go to programs in Windows 8.1 Adobe Creative Cloud (305mb) and Adobe Photo Shop (2.84gb) both show up as programs.
    The creative cloud workscreen shows I have 1 app - Ps and it is up to date.
    So everything seems in order except that I cannot launch or use Ps. I have been at this for 5 hours. Honestly if I can't load a program, get an icon , launch it a use it I may need to shop another photo utility.

    Navigate to C: Program Files> Adobe > Adobe Photoshop cc 2014.
    Open Adobe Photoshop cc 2014. and locate Photoshop launch icon and double click on it.
    Once the Photoshop cc 2014 app is launched , click on Help menu and select "Updates" option.
    Then try to update the same.

  • How do I clear the "Well this is embarising" screen? It will not let me run the program and I have deleated the program just to reload it and get same screen!

    The screen that says, "Well this is embarrassing" and asks to either remove a tab or start a new session, which I cannot do neither. I have deleted the program several times and when I reload it the same screen comes up and the program freezes. Task manager is the only way to remove it from my screen. I need to find the location of that screen and delete it.

    It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

    Using the same Apple id and Password you should be able to download purchased apps without being charged again.
    I download to an iPad/iPad2/iPhone3 & iPhone4 with no problem.
