You need Snow Leopard before you can go to Lion...

Over the past couple of months I have been reading horror stories of people who went from iTunes 6.- to 7 and after upgrading and proceeding to get the latest version of firmware for iPod their iPod has become a paperweight. Scrambled displays, backward text, etc. I am on a Mac system and have a 30 gig 5th generation iPod and have put off upgrading because I am afraid of losing my iPod. Can somebody tell me if it is safe to upgrade and if all the bugs have been ironed out? Secondly, can somebody tell me if it is possible to get the latest iPod firmware as a downloadable stand-alone installer? I still have a dial-up connection and cannot wait hours and tie up my line upgrading my iPod through iTunes. I would prefer to download the upgrades on a machine with a high-speed connection and burn them to CD and then install on my machine from that CD. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? How can I upgrade to the latest version of Minion Pro (with a full set of superior letters)?
I purchased Minion Pro a long time ago and love it, except ... it uses the ISO set of superior letters. I transcribe a lot of 17th- and 18th-century documents, and they use superior letters not in the ISO set. In Minion Pro Read Me it says that version 2.030 created 2007/08/16 has a full alphabet of superior letters. How can I upgrade from my version of Minion Pro without a full superior alphabet to a version with a full alphabet? --Thanks!
I believe you're referring to an item on Minion Pro's Release Notes document. I've checked the latest version of this family and I'm sorry to tell you that Minion Pro does not have a full set of superiors. The comment in the Release Notes is incorrect.

I can't update to the latest version with the orange Firefox button.
On public computers, I've used a version of Firefox that features an orange Firefox button that replaces the menu bar. On my home computer, even though I've used the "About Firefox" link to update the software, I still do not have the orange Firefox button. I am currently on version 18.0.1 on my home computer.
How else can I go about getting the orange Firefox button to replace the menu bar? Thanks.It's easier than you imagine:

I downloaded a film from ITunes in HD and had problems, I upgraded to the latest version of ITunes and have then downloaded the film again in SD on my Windows 7 computer, but I still can't get the film to play, any idea's what to do next?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I just got an iPod 4th generation and Im trying to sync my iTunes songs and books from my dell laptop on to my iPod but it says I need iTunes 10.6.3. So I tryed to download it on the apple website but it keeps saying that there is an error. I have already tryed uninstalling all Apple Inc. programs on my laptop then trying to install iTunes again but that has had no success what so ever. I have started to get very frusterated with this . Hopefully someone can help. I would really appreciate it. Any suggestion?

A Cloud subscription SHOULD always show you the most recent updates, so you may then choose to do the install

I have used Firefox on my computer for several years. Today, after upgrading to the new version, I was not able to open Firefox. I have tried several times uninstalling and re-downloading Firefox. It still will not open! Is the new version not compatible with Windows Vista?

You will have to close firefox.exe with the Windows Task Manager from the "Processes" tab of the WTM since you don't have a widow to close.
The best way to close Firefox is through File > Exit, for those who stuck with the "Firefox" button click on the Firefox button then Exit. It is not perfect but it is a lot better than just closing the window with the "X" in the upper right corner -

Hi, i have this strange problem with audio coming from my Canon XL1-S. When importing footage from my Canon that uses the on-board mic everything comes across perfectly. The problem is when I use any other audio source on my camera. I recorded a band
