I just bought Lightroom 5 off of Amazon and after downloading it and everything it says I need to buy a serial number? Is this true?
I don’t think there are many “must have” features in PSE13 especially if you are doing most of your editing non-destructively in Lightroom and only going to the external editor occasionally.

Here are several trouble-shooting methods that should get the applications activated again by your Adobe ID:
A. Follow steps 4 and 5 of http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/convert-cs6-licensed-under-ccm.html:
Launch the application.
Click the License This Software button.
See your Adobe ID in the dialog and click the Sign In button.
B. Use the Adobe Application Manager to install a different application to trigger activation using your Adobe ID.
C. If one application launches without asking for a serial number but another does, then from the application that is activated choose Help > Deactivate from the menu. Relaunch and activate either application.
D. Re-install the Adobe Application Manager from here: http://www.adobe.com/applicationmanagerpatch/index.html. Then launch the application again.
If none of these methods resolve the issue then provide:
Your operating system version.
The following three log files: PDApp.log, amt3.log and oobelib.log.
Email this information to [email protected].
Getting the log files on Windows:
Open the Command Prompt.
Type mkdir Desktop\logs and press Enter. This will create a folder called logs on your Desktop.
Type copy %temp%\PDApp.log Desktop\logs\PDApp.log and press Enter. This will copy the file PDApp.log to the folder logs.
Type copy %temp%\amt3.log Desktop\logs\amt3.log and press Enter. This will copy the file amt3.log to the folder logs.
Type copy %temp%\oobelib.log Desktop\logs\oobelib.log and press Enter. This will copy the file oobelib.log to the folder logs.
Zip the folder logs using a Zip program like 7-Zip (available from http://www.7-zip.org).
Getting the log files on Mac OS X:
Open the Terminal (located in the Utilities folder under Applications).
Type mkdir ~/Desktop/logs and press Enter. This will create a folder called logs on your Desktop.
Type cp ~/Library/Logs/PDApp.log ~/Desktop/logs/PDApp.log and press Enter. This will copy the file PDApp.log to the folder logs.
Type cp /tmp/amt3.log ~/Desktop/amt3.log and press Enter. This will copy the file amt3.log to the folder logs.
Type cp /tmp/oobelib.log ~/Desktop/oobelib.log and press Enter. This will copy the file oobelib.log to the folder logs.
Type tar -czf ~/Desktop/logs.tgz ~/Desktop/logs and press Enter. This will create the file logs.tgz on the Desktop. You can safely ignore the message: tar: Removing leading '/' from member names. -
Have an older 17 MacBook Pro, running OS 10.5.8. Software update says everyting is current. Mac doesn't have iCloud, preferences still shows MobileMe. Just bought new iPhone 5S. Mac won't recognize phone, says I need newer version of iTunes. Have no problem with computer recognizing old phone 3 or 1-1/2 year old iPad. HI, I just bought an iPhone 4S. Although my iPad and other iPhone 3GS connect to our server (SBS2003) I cannot get through. It checks all items in the connection and then I get the message :Cannot get mail, the connection to the server failed." Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

You have probably downloaded the standalone version and installed it. It will have to be removed,, and then you will be able to install from the CC application manager.

The iPhone 3G can be upgraded to iOS 4.2.1 but not iOS 4.3. If a given application is listed as requiring iOS 4.3 or newer, you'll need to load an older version of it from a computer with it if any.

I need to get my zotero back. It has all my sources for my master's thesis which is due in two to three weeks. www.zotero.com is no help. The button for it no longer shows in the bottom of the screen when I open up Firefox. The automatic Firefox upgrade seems to have destroyed my zotero files with all of my bibliographic entries. I need to get this back ASAP! I really do not want to have to take the time to redo the entire thing. www.zotero.com is no help. I sign in and my library has nothing in it. They are no help as they just tell me to down load it again.

I currently have a MackBook with Photoshop CS6 installed. This came with the laptop when I bought it on eBay, therefore, I don't have the serial number for the software. Can I still transfer the Photoshop CS6 from this laptop onto a new one?

Whoever sold you the laptop should have removed the software first, or gone through the proper process to transfer the license to you. Chances are that they used it to obtain an upgrade, in which case it would not even to eligible to be transferred. -

"Transferring library" term is usually used with computers, If you still have old classic, you also should have computer that content came from. Once you connect your new classic to that computer- all your library will sync automatically (after registration). If you do not have computer, then it may present a bit of a problem, because as far as I know, Apple's way allows you to transfer only purchased in itunes store content - instructions in link below and you still going to need a computer. If you search these forums and Google, you will find multiple guides on using nonApple solutions. Please try to check references for those.

I got an iTunes gift card for christmas so I decided to buy some songs today. I believe it was 21 songs. Anyway, i connected my phone to iTunes after the songs were purchased, and lo and behold, the songs are gone. They are not on my phone, they are not in my library, and they are not on my computer anywhere. Does anyone have any tips or answers on how to get the songs back? Thanks.
If this helps any of you, I solved my own problem. After some searching around, I discovered that you can go into your purchase history throught the iTunes store. You simply click on iTunes store, and on the right side by the redeem button, there is a purchased option. Click that, then click the little cloud button next to the songs you wish to download.
