I have just bought an iPhone 5 and it won't sync to iTunes. It says it needs iTunes 10.7, which I have downloaded and installed. I still get the error message and looking at "about iTunes" it says 10.6.3. What do I do??
Perhaps check to see if you're accidentally running two different versions of iTunes. There's some information on troubleshooting that in the Opening iTunes section of the following document:

Nope.
Did you fail to import them before restoring from backup? If so, then they are gone.
You should import all photos taken with the iphone to your comuter regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update or restore. -

should I droop it?I know this sounds really basic, but did you remove the protective plastic film? I was going to leave mine on for protecting the screen and had the same issue. I removed it as it was the source of the problem.

I just bought the iPhone 4s and I cannot get my account set up on iTunes.
I just bought the iPhone 4s and everytime I try to set up my credit card info on iTunes I get this message: "Your credit card information does not match your bank records. Please enter a U.S. credit card and matching billing address." Help. Info is correct! I even tried to copy and paste it from my bank website and the message still pops up??? I tried it multiple times on my iPhone and multiple times on my HP PC. Any ideas???? Has this happened to anyone else?

I just bought the iPhone 5. I previously had the 4S. When I try to sync it, it is like it is on a loop or something. It starts on step 1 of 7, but when it gets to step 2 it says restarting and starts all over. I left my phone plugged in for 30 minutes and it just keeps repeating the first 2 steps over and over again. It won't sync.

Be careful - there's a difference between update and upgrade. Your machine is saying there are no updates available, meaning no later versions of OS X 10.5 (Leopard). However, you can very likely upgrade - at least to OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), and possibly then to OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
Updates are free, but upgrades cost a bit. That's the dirference. -

Hi, All. I just bought a new IPhone 5 and before I try to sync it I am wondering if I will have an option to download only my Music / my pictures
only from the Cloud? Really only want to transfer my music. Or does it just automatically load everything in the cloud?

After several attempts to sync my new iphone to my itunes it still does not work. I have tried everything including deleting and reinstalling my itunes but nothing works. Nor does syncing from my phone! What can i do to fix this ?

This is what I did:
I went to control panel and unistalled iTunes completely, then I installed 10.6.3

It came up with an error saying that my library had beed used with a more updated verision, basically had to upgrade. I installed iTunes 10.7
After it had installed and iTunes was running I hooked up both my iPhone and my flash drive, I have more than 1 usb port I figure most computers do now, and by the time and date in the bottom right corner a small icon came up showing that I had devices hooked up. It showed both my iPhone (but did not know what it was) and my flash drive. If you right click on the iPhone it has the option to Troubleshoot it. I did it and my iPhone 5 now FINALLY SYNCS!
I'm sooo happy now. -

Try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security (or Security & Privacy) > Firewall
Anti virus software may need to be disabled before downloading apps from the App Store including Mountain Lion.
Make sure your Mac meets Mountain Lion's requirements.

I just bought an IPhone 4s and plugged it into my Toshiba Windows 7 (64 bit) OS and it failed to recognize the phone. I checked in the tech community and discovered that I need to remove all the software assoicated with the phone and start over....I followed the sequence exactly...reinstalled the software and it still doesn't work. I am trying to download the IPhone 4s video to my computer and without a USB interface that works my memory capactiy will fill up fast....I've already been into the control panel....stopped and restarted the Apple service....I am stuck...can anyone offer some suggestions or knwo if there is a fix for this issue..??

EricI solved my own problem....I simply moved the cable to another port while moving the mouse to the USB ports on the opposite side of the computer....and the computr finally recognized the phone...I know it sounds weird but it worked...so if you are having the same problem that had trying removing all the crap you have plugged into the USB ports on your computer THEN plug in your IPhone 4s...use the cable that came with the phone and nothing else...good luck..>!!!
