I just bought Thor Blu-ray digital copy. The digital copy disc is not loading on my Macs (x3). Any ideas?
I purchased Thor on Blu-ray + digital copy. I tried transferring the movie to my MacPro tower, but the digital copy disk will not load. I'm able to insert it and I can hear the drive trying to read it, but after about a min., it is ejected. I also tried on two separate MacBook Pros. All three machines are running 10.6.8.
Chris, if you read the full question, you'll see that I am referring to the "digital copy disc" which is a standard DVD.

Have you seen this thread about Disk Utility's space message and different Blu Ray media?
As to your other questions, I have very limited BluRay experience; the few times when I made a disk image it was for someone else's use or for testing workflows, but I know I didn't get into any weird encoding loops. As you know,the progress bar is pretty obscure by nature; alternatively, open up Batch Monitor and click on the info button do see what percentage has been complete.
Assuming by now that you've canceled the job, I would download Digital Rebellion's Compressor Repair tool (free) and run that – including the trash preferences option. Also, I've had occasions when job actions started to act up and were cured by running repair permissions in Dick Utility.
My impression is that the people who use disk images with Toast are happy with the results. So even if it's not something you get now, perhaps it's the long term solution.

My Blu Ray drive in the lower bay is sometimes not recognized since upgrading to Mountain Lion.
I have a Mac Pro (2.6 GHz Quad Core Xeon, 6 Gb RAM) that I upgraded to Mountain Lion yesterday. In the top optical drive bay I have the Apple super drive that came with the machine. In the lower bay I added a Pioneer Blu Ray burner. Since upgrading to 10.8, sometimes the Blu Ray drive is not recognized. I discovered this morning that a restart doesn't solve the problem...I have to completely shut down, then restart, and then the drive will appear.
You paid for a license to use Mountain Lion & that license is forever tied to YOUR Apple ID. You cannot distribute Mountain Lion in any way shape or form. If you were to sell your computer, with Mountain Lion installed, as I've already provided, the new owner will never be able to update or restore OS X, should the need arise. You will have sold the new owner a huge bag of hurt.

Bought and downloaded an album from Itunes. Now when I play it on my Ipod the last three songs are cut short. Itunes says all songs are downloaded, no incomplete downloads. How can this be fixed?

You could try emailing iTunes support, giving them your order number, etc. or you could just take the hit and pay the 99p. I know what I would do.

LGBD390 blu-ray cannot find the access point of WRT160N/3.
I have been trying to set up the wireless connection to be able to view streamed movies from netflix through my LGBD390 blu-ray player. I have successfully connected the wireless router to my Embarq router. When I check status, it says it is enabled and connection is o.k. I have been on the phone with Linksys (and was charged $9.99 which did not solve my problem). I also have chatted and so far that has not worked either. I have downloaded the upgrade for the firmware. No matter what I do, the blu-ray cannot find the access point of the router.
Can you help?thank you for your responsse Wizzard, but there are things I need to change that I don't know how to do. I have no idea how to assign static ip, subnet and gateway on the blu-ray. When I went to the link , it was actually for adifferent router than mine. I have a WRT160N/v3. I also did not know what to put in the protocol. and if I should just put the number in the beg. and ending. I also don't think I have an ethernet adapter. Maybe you could give me more information. I have an 06' macbook and I just bought an 07' macbook.. The 06' has os x 10.6 but the 07' has 10.5.. I no longer have the disk for snow leopard. Is there ANY way to get snow leopard from the old computer to the other without having to buy it again?
Technical issues aside, there's still a legal issue.
Neither 2006 nor 2007 MacBooks shipped with Snow Leopard 'factory' installed. OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard became available in September 2009. So you purchased and installed a Snow Leopard upgrade disc on the 2007 system at some point.
If your Snow Leopard upgrade was a single-user copy, then legally, you need to purchase another one for the second computer. If your Snow Leopard upgrade was a Family Pack 5-user license, then you're good to go.

Initially, all was working, but now a week later, I get the message that the application manager is missing, and I cannot get Photoshop and InDesign to launch. What is the process for connecting airport extreme ethernet? I have ethernet cables connected to stereo receiver for internet radio and another to blue ray player. The system preference network indicates "ethernet not connected" with red dot to left of this message. The airport wireless works and has green dot to left of it. The stereo receiver and blue ray player do not respond and give message not connect to internet. Thank you. / cfpirate
It worked for me finally. I took out the DNS numbers in airport admin utility, and restarted the airport express. I do not remember putting the DNS numbers in, I wonder from where the airport express got those numbers.
After restarting, it worked.

Just bought Adobe Photoshop Ps , clicked on the icon in my Mac dock and am staring at a black page with a perimeter of symbols and a heading that reads "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014. I don't have a clue what I do next. I would like to transfer some photos from my iPhoto library. Where do I start?
Photoshop does not transfer files nor import files. It can open files from any place that finder can access for files.
This is the normal process:

Select the app you would like to start with
The Creative Cloud manager will install first.
When done installing, the Creative cloud (adobe manager) should open in the middle of your screen.
If no apps automatically start installing then click on Apps
Scroll down to the app you want to install and click the install button
Once the manager says it is done, you can start your app like you normally do with any other app. -
i just bought and downloaded an album. the album/tracks are NOT found in my music library alongside every other track i have purchased! however, they are found and playable in the recently added playlist. in addition, when using the search queue in the upper right corner, the artist and album is listed when searched for, but when clicked on, nothung happens. i have downloaded hundreds of tracks with no issue (not a noob), but have no idea what has occurred...plz help
Have you checked whether the songs are in your iTunes library? If they are, then just drag them to your purchased playlist. If they aren't, try checking for available downloads.
If none of the previous work, then get in contact directly with iTunes store support to tell them about your problem. -
