I JUST CANT SEEM TO DOWNLOAD ....

Hi everyone ! To be frank , this is my first macbook and I love it ! However , am facing some teething problems - am trying to download the trial version of iwork but its just not happening ! Starts downloading fine and then in the middle , just gives up ! Been on this since a week - maybe its a heavy file - but anyother reason that you people could think of that I should check ?
I am able to download other small stuff from the net but not this !
Kindly help

iWork '09 installed on my MacBook shows Keynote.app is 293Mb, Pages.app is 299Mb, and Numbers.app is 107Mb. And there are probably additional support files, so the files are very large.

Hi tKalra - I got the same error and finally managed to install itunes successfully. Below is what happened with me.
I have Windows7 64 bit. I downloaded itunes 10.6.3 for windows64bit and started the installation wizard by opening the downloaded file. At one stage I got the same error you have mentioned above. I started googling to find a solution and thats how I found your post. Anyway I went through lot of other posts that suggested lot of different things but I just wanted to try my own thing first.
So what I did is to go through with the wizard by clicking ok on the error. I then got an error about apple mobile device service not running. I ignored and went ahead with the installation. Installation finished but the itunes wont start giving the service not running error. I tried to manually start the service but it gave a privilege error.
I then went to control panel and uninstalled itunes, apple mobile device thing and bonjour..basically what ever was from apple. Then I also went to start -> run -> regedit and checked for any registry keys for apple under local user and local computer. Deleted if found. Restarted and then just right clicked on the itunes setup file that was downloaded and ran it as administrator. That did it for me. So I am guessing it was privilege thing but not sure. Hope this helps.

Thanks but I have tried doing the above - when I said 7 times I was modest, its more like 15 times.
And I am referring to the 5.1 software update. I dont have wifi so I guess I will have to try that seeing that my husband also has the same problem - he has also tried downloading several times. It always times out en says that the connection is lost but yet there are always an internet connection and a decent signal once it stopped. Think it said error 32052 or something!
I am disappointed because the update includes inprovement on the battery life - did you guys notice any difference?

No, Elements has nothing to do with CC. Whatever issues you have come from a different angle, but since you haven't provided any proper technical info like system specs we can't even begin to guess.

You need to try to download the Adobe Creative Cloud app first. It will install the correct version of Lightroom. Is that what you are trying to do?

Here is some helpful information regarding preorder albums in iTunes. I would recommend checking to see if you can download the single directly from the preorder album as some artists release a single that is separate from the album and will be a different purchase.

The 'show iTunes in the cloud purchases' tickbox should be on the Store tab in Edit > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac) e.g.
For the backup, if you mean that you are backing up your phone to your computer's iTunes then that does not contain any of your iTunes downloads, nor the contents of the Music and Videos apps - if you tried to restore to that backup then it would look for your apps, music, films etc from the relevant part of your iTunes library, not within the actual backup (that contains things such as documents, photos, bookmarks, contacts etc)

I have just made the mistake of downloading IOS7 for phone and pad. Now it wont sync unless i update iTunes but, i cant seem to download the latest version 11.1. I am using Windows 7. What can i do?

I was really dissapointed when i found out that we can only download from the sa app strore . The selection of apps in sa is really poor and we cant even download any games ... G4 Model - i cant seem to download any new programs

That's because that application is... (wait for it)
Not supported on that system!
The only references I can find for it for OSX are torrents of a third party port of the PC version. Those require both Leopard and an Intel machine and are probably not sanctioned so we can't discuss it further since it's probably pirated software (and therefore against Terms Of Use of this site).

Buy an Intel Mac running 10.5 or higher, then buy Windows and run the PC version under Windows on the Mac, or just buy a PC to run it directly.
