I just changed ISP and now I cannot get internet via my Time Machine
I just switched from DSL to cable internet. Now I cannot access my existing wifi network, and am having connectivity issues with the internet via wifi AND ethernet when I use my Time Machine as my router. By bypassing the router, the internet works fine. My IP address starts with 169 when I have the modem and Time Machine paired together, so there's some sort of miscommunication, I'm sure. I want my wireless network back! FRUSTRATING!!
Open time machine and shut it off.
Chances are you will still be receiving the emails, meaning that it is a spam type of malware that may have changed your mail settings and only appears to be from the time machine.
Open your mail program preferences and set to delete from server after being read, if that is possible with your mail program.
Sometimes it is not best to forward all the seemingly harmless and funny emails that come your way.
After all, that is what the kids writing viruses are counting on.
Perhaps a free antivirus program such as Sophos may help you out.

Model and actual device you are talking about?
Apple covers a pretty huge range.. If you mean extreme.. did you reset it to factory and start over.. that is always necessary when you change a network. You cannot pick up a router from one home and network and plonk it into another and have it work.. aint gonna happen.
You also need to power down any pure cable modem for 20min or so to get it to forget the old MAC address that captured the IP so the Apple ??? has a chance to work. -

After upgrading to 5.2.1 I wasn't able to view my movies or tv shows (I wasn't using homesharing). I kept getting "can't connect to Apple store" and unable to access account errors.
I found this thread and some others, and was a bit frustraited that there was no clean solution. I restarted my AppleTV, but didn't want to reset if I didn't need to b/c I didn't want to re-enter all my account info. So I tried something simple....
I simply unplugged AppleTV for ~1min, and plugged it back in. After that it worked fine.
I'm not sure if this will work for anyone else, but it's worth a try since it's easy. -
In a search I changed the Brazilan store to the Canadian store and now I cannot get back, and Bcause of that I cannot buy anythin at the apple Store. Can someone help me please?

Not much more to add. I did a restore to an earlier time and still no joy. I am at a loss. I am not a totally savvy computer person at all, just know enough to get into trbl. That is why I stay away from most things that require me to make judgement calls. However this was a black/white decision and now I cannot get an important aspect of my Outlook calendar to work----Help please!

I was having major problems too. I ended up completely uninstalling itunes then downloaded it again from http://www.apple.com/itunes/. If you're using firefox, for some reason itunes will not download and I don't know if using googlechrome will also have problems,so just to be sure that it will work on your first try, use internet explorer when you download itunes. Hope this helps...

Thank you sig--it seems in talking to her on the phone that she was not giving me the info correctly and she couldn't get into her bank account, NOT the computer. The computer is fine she was just frustrated with the bank's system and feeling alone with no help handy...
