I just downloaded an iBook but the Sample is all I can read? Any ideas as to why?

I downloaded a book sample. Then, I purchased the book. But, I still only see the sample. What is the probem?

Did you see the full book download?
Try quitting iBook and opening it up again. If that doesn't work, force quit iBook (open up multitasking, hold the icon down until it wiggles, then press the x to shut it down) and open it up again.

Have you tried deleting it from the iBooks app and redownloading it via the Purchased link in the ibookstore in the iBooks app ? Re-downloading.
If you have the same problem after re-downloading it then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

If the computer shipped with Snow Leopard then you would have received an install DVD for iLife with the computer.

Click the little cloud icon next to the track to download the complete track to your hard drive, rather than playing a sample from the itunes store. I had the same problem until I figured this out...

Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go. You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

It sounds like there is a payback issue with one or more movies in iTunes on your Mac. If the movies weren't purchased from the iTunes Store, do you see the same issue with content downloaded from the iTunes Store? I seperated each step and changed it abit for ya that i found that maybe useful for you bc it sounds like the same "Wireless Weirdness" that this person had the same problem.

1. Restart the computer and wait to see if the network is discovered before entering it manually.
2. Power off on the modem and router and restarted computer
3. If no network selected, do the diagnostics
4. Enter the SSID & PSWD
5. If asked for DHCP or PPo, chose DHCP
6. If asked for cable, say no bc u use wireless
after that, it should work for ya

My 2008 17in MBP has 512mb vram, but the system profile is showing 256mb. Any ideas?

I just bought a early 2008 17" MBP from a friend. According to the specification underneath the laptop, its a A1261 model with 512vram. However in OS X hardware profile, the system indicates that there is 256mb of vram. Does anybody have any idea what is going on?

perhaps some of its VRAM is faulty? Have you tried running its Apple Hardware Test, to see if it can detect anything amiss?

I downloaded an iBook but the first 8 chapters are blank with an error of rendering message

I down loaded an iBook and th first 8 chapters are blank and the pages have a rendering error. I have rebooted and sometimes get part of the pages then they disappear when I go forward or back.

Have you tried deleting the book and re-downloading it ? If it's the only book that you've got in the iBooks app then you could try deleting the app and re-downloading that and the book.

Or you may be able to import using a different program - try with Quicktime Player, "New Movie Recording". If the camera appears as an option, it should work.

If it is asking for account details then it might just need you to confirm your account before it lets you proceed. Maybe the terms and conditions changed since last time or something like that. Try signing into your Apple account in iTunes on a computer first to check that. Then restart the phone and try again.
