I just downloaded Firefox and want to cancel it.

I got on a site & wanted to download music but it said I had to have one of three downloads. One was Firefox so I downloaded it. I don`t want Firefox (it did not help me anyway). I want to go back to Internet via Explorer on my Start menu. You may gather I am NOT good at this computor stuff!

Go to Add/Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel and then scroll down to '''Mozilla Firefox''' and click '''Remove'''. Make sure you checkmark the box which enables you to remove your bookmarks, customizations etc.
Then reboot and go to C:\Program Files and delete the folder called "'''Mozilla Firefox'''".

On my old google account home page, I had saved my regular webpages under my favorites. When I wanted to find them I just brought down that menu and clicked on it without having to search. Does firefox have this functionality, if so, how do I go about setting up my favorite places????

* If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear

* Make sure that you have the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then see if you can find them in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window
* If you see a missing item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window onto one of the toolbars.
* If, in "View > Toolbars > Customize", you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button

I have just downloaded Firefox and browsed with it but in the box headed 'a little housekeeping' the green line is only approx 90% complete. Does this matter please?

Just downloaded Firefox - and IT WOT WORK. It wont even open up it's own support pages, I just get "secure conection failed" msgs no matter what page-USELESS!

I've just downloaded and istalled Firefox. IT WILL NOT WORK. No matter what site I try open up (included Firefox's OWN support site) I get the following:

The only reason I installed this is because an academic site I need to use requires Firefox ( my IE 10 is not compatible apparently). This is the MOST useless browser I have ever tried! I mean common SERIOUSLY? I haven't even changed settings, installed add ons, or anything! So whats the point of this browser if you need to be a computer WHIZZ in order to fix it before you can use it? OMW!

nuff said. Why does firefox not recognize the app? why is it asking me to save download (zip file?) instead of just downloading file when prompted? There's two versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE and the Plugin version for most other browsers. Firefox needs the Plugin version.

Do you mean you were using Mozilla Seamonkey - or something even older - sometimes called 'The Mozilla Suite'?

I just downloaded firefox and it operates extremely slow, taking several minutes to change screens when clicking on a website.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Your contact list doesnt stay saved in your computer, try access your gmail account in other browser, if this happens too the problem maybe isnt with firefox
